I heard that there are shops selling Vietnamese ingredients at Hakata Station and Yoshizuka. The number of Vietnamese residents seems to be increasing significantly (in the past, there were wealthy students from Hanoi, and later business people from Hanoi. Recently, the young people we often see are mostly from the outskirts of Hanoi (countryside), and we hardly see people from Ho Chi Minh City, as they say they don't need to go for work because they are wealthy). There is a shop called "Vina House" located on the second floor of a building in front of Fukuoka University bus stop. The interior is spacious and sells items like Ao Dai, souvenirs, coffee, garlic soy sauce, and other ingredients. The menu is available for all-you-can-eat. Everything is properly translated into Japanese, so it seems that there are Japanese people involved. I was hesitant between Bun Bo Hue, but there was only one female staff. I ordered Soi (flavored sticky rice) which can be made at home, as it seemed unlikely to have authentic Bun Bo Hue. During the cooking process, the sound of the microwave ringing repeatedly was distracting. When the Soi came out, I honestly thought "Oh, this is a mistake..." Chili sauce... (Vietnamese ones are too sweet for me. Normally it should be served separately in a dish or bottle) And even sausages (laughs). The thawed sticky rice had uneven hardness in some parts, and above all... over-thawed in the microwave → dried out → hardened due to the coldness inside the shop → rice grains became like "wax". The eggs were also frozen → thawed maybe. The meat smelled odd... maybe due to being frozen. I feel really sorry, but I tried my best to eat only half. I hardly ever leave food uneaten in my life, but... I couldn't eat the leftovers at home, so I left them and came back. I'm sorry for various aspects. I thought of supporting the serious-looking female shop owner? and it's the first review, but... maybe other menu items are delicious!! I hope the shop will be lively with Fukuoka University students! Thank you for the meal!
