I used the Japanese cuisine restaurant "Nihon Ryori Kyoto Kareki" located within the Exiv Kyoto Yase Rikyu during my stay. The course incorporates ingredients sourced locally in Kyoto and Kansai, but my honest impression is that the cost performance is not great. Of course, since it is high-end hotel Japanese cuisine, I understand it to some extent. However, choosing to not include meals with the stay also feels unfair to the hotel. The 10% service charge is a wonderful hospitality gesture, so I accept it, but I think they should reconsider the course contents a bit. The final dessert was of very poor quality. I hope the restaurant department of Resort Last puts in a bit more effort! With many other dining options outside, I would prefer to choose those. [Course received this time] 11,800 yen (tax included 12,980 yen) plus 10% service charge: - Sakizuke: Seigoin daikon and simmered abalone in clam broth, sesame tofu with sesame, Kyoto Minuka, yuzu - Suimono: Kinhan style with clouds, chopped mitsuba, Nanboku-ya shichimi - Sashimi: Oita "Kabosu Buri" and spicy daikon, Tai konbu-shime and Okui Kaisendo tororo konbu, Honmaguro with mustard and wasabi - Kyoto small plates: Steamed turnip with Guji, charcoal-grilled taro, Senmaizuke mackerel sushi - Meat dish: Black Wagyu celery hot pot, Toyoyakeya Yamamoto's thick fried tofu, Kyoto mizuna, enoki - Gohan: Kikka mugao rice, pickles, red dashi - Mizugashi: Hojicha pudding, black sugar warabimochi, fruit jelly
