Hospital consultation went smoothly. Taking a paid day off, so feeling free. Now, what to do...? Is this part of the new corona measures? In Kurume City, they are running a "Solo Dining Campaign". I got a 500 yen coupon on LINE, so I have to use it. It's 4:10 PM. On Meiji Street in Hiyoshi-cho, there is a Fukuoka Bank. On the corner of the intersection behind it, I will visit "Slow Time KITCHEN". Inside, there are only about 8 counter seats. The owner, a woman, is handling everything alone. It seems there are no early drinkers, as there are no other customers. I chose the "Light Drinking Set (1,650 yen, tax included)" which includes "2 drinks + 3 items". When I ordered a beer, I got a Heartland bottle and a glass. It felt like a great deal. The 3 items were served on small plates: grilled dried snacks, chicken breast ham, and grilled eggplant. The grilled eggplant aside, the contents were more like snacks than dishes. I was planning to decide whether to have more drinks based on the contents of the "Light Drinking Set", but with insufficient information, I decided it would be better to spend money on a drink I like. I found the restaurant-exclusive "Wakana I’LL be back" on the sake menu. I decided to enjoy this while finishing up. I ordered a 1-gou of Wakana for the second drink, as they allow the difference to be paid. When I took a sip, it had an acidic taste at first, but gradually the sweetness increased and the taste changed... It had a sharp finish, yet a quiet aftertaste that lingered. The bill came to 1,800 yen using the "Kurume Solo Diner Coupon". Thank you for the meal.
