Fruits Planet's Akashic Records 1-15-7 Neohytes Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture Phone: 092-791-9723 101 Daimyo Parfait Fruits Planet [Saga-grown Nijumaru Vanilla Parfait] ¥2,310 This shop only opens from 5 pm for their "night parfait"! They offer a selection of seasonal fruits, but keep in mind that the quantity is limited and they cut the fruits upon ordering, so be prepared for a longer wait time. If you're in a hurry or can only move around during the day, this might not be the place for you! I visited right when they opened last year and was blown away by the Nijumaru citrus. It's a new citrus variety called "Saga Fruit Test No. 35", with a brand name of Nijumaru. It's a cross between Nishinoka and Ota Ponkan, resulting in a sweet, thin-skinned fruit with soft flesh. The intense sweetness and fragrant aroma were impressive, achieved through a process of storage and ripening to concentrate the sweetness and reduce acidity. I chose the classic Vanilla gelato for my parfait, and it was a perfect match with the citrus. The subtle acidity complemented the sweetness of the vanilla, making it one of my top citrus fruits. It was delicious! Next up!

For my final meal of the night, I ordered a parfait. The ordering style was to choose fruits and ice cream separately. The self-service water was lukewarm. I chose a Nagano purple and pear parfait with cream cheese ice cream. The fruits were sweet and delicious, and the ice cream had a nice cream cheese flavor. However, I felt that the combination of fruits and ice cream didn't really match well. Since there was only one staff member, the service was slow due to low turnover. The price was high, so I felt that the cost performance was lacking. Compared to a parfait I had in Hokkaido before, this one felt inferior. This is a detailed review of the parfait I experienced.

I enjoyed a combination of Shizuoka musk melon and coconut milk ice cream. I selected seasonal fruits and ice cream of the day to pair together. The seating area can accommodate about 5 groups, and it was not crowded on weekday evenings. The delicious seasonal fruits made it very tasty.

After drinking, I wanted something sweet so I visited this place. It was close to 10 pm and the place was packed, with people even lining up outside. There was no place to write down your name and no one to guide you, so it felt a bit unfriendly. The signboard was there, but the information was too messy to understand the prices or what fruits were used in the MIX parfait. (It was written on the menu handed later, but without any pictures, it was hard to imagine what the parfait looked like.) I ordered the Premium Peach Parfait and the Shine Muscat and Peach Parfait. The person making them was alone, so it took some time. With limited seating, the turnover rate was slow. The Premium Peach Parfait had a whole peach on top, which looked impressive and had a good amount of fruit (although the peeled surface was slightly rough). The sweetness of the peach spread throughout my mouth, and the juice soaked into my body. The peach was delicious, and it was from Fuefuki that day. The Shine Muscat and Peach Parfait had small cuts of the same peach and Shine Muscat, mixed with ice cream, whipped cream, and other ingredients. Both the Premium and this parfait were simple, with just the chosen ice cream and whipped cream combined with fruits. In conclusion, the fruits were delicious, but that was all. The desserts lacked creativity in design. Nowadays, even family restaurants put more effort into their desserts. I don't care about choosing the ice cream; I would rather have professionals think and experiment on what best complements the seasonal fruits. I would like them to offer more imaginative parfaits. You can enjoy just the delicious fruits at less than half the price. I hope they create more dreamy parfaits. Compared to Hokkaido's parfait culture, this place still has a long way to go. Overall, it's not cost-effective, and I probably won't visit again.

[Weekend Food Warriors' Akashic Records] 1F, Neohights Odori 1-15-7, Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Tel: 092-791-9723. "Daimyo Parfait Fruit Planet" [Nijumaru Cream Cheese Parfait] ¥2,310. This shop only opens from 5 pm as a "night parfait" place. They use carefully selected seasonal fruits, so there is a limited quantity available, and they cut the fruits upon ordering, so be prepared for longer serving times! If you're in a hurry or can only move around during the day, don't come! Finally made it here after struggling to find a parking spot! The closest one charged an outrageous price of 300 yen for 30 minutes during the day! But I found one about 300 meters away that charged 200 yen for 60 minutes! As soon as they opened, groups of girls rushed in and the place was packed! Of course, I was the only lone male customer... Or so I thought until I saw another guy there! I guess everyone has their favorite things, huh... Now, onto the star of the show, the "Nijumaru" from Saga! A new citrus fruit that debuted on February 10, 2021. It's a variety called "Saga Fruit Test No. 35," and only the ones that meet specific criteria are sold under the brand name "Nijumaru." The official variety is a cross between "Seinoka" and "Ota Ponkan," resulting in a fruit with a strong sweetness, thin skin, and soft flesh. The intense sweetness is what stands out at first, but after being harvested and stored for a month, the sweetness is concentrated and the acidity is reduced, resulting in a mellow taste. It's easy to eat, reminiscent of a mandarin orange, with its thin, soft skin bursting with juice, giving you the joy of eating citrus fruits! You can choose from four types of gelato: Vanilla, Yogurt, Hojicha (roasted green tea), Cream Cheese, and Cassis Orange (daily special). I couldn't decide between Yogurt and Cream Cheese, but decided to go bold with the Cream Cheese gelato. It was the right choice - the rich cheese flavor paired perfectly with the sweetness, creating an exquisite combination. This place is open until midnight as long as they have fruits left, so you could even plan a dinner course combining it with other places like "Mieno Gokumi" or "Antica Pizzeria Michele."

Introducing a fruit parfait specialty shop, "Daimyo Parfait Fruit Planet," located in the Tenjin area of Fukuoka. We found this sweet shop open even after 9 pm when we were too full from eating around Hakata to eat anything else. The shop is open until midnight, making it perfect for late-night parfait cravings. They open at 5 pm. They offer a Mixed Fruit Parfait (990 yen) with four classic fruits - pineapple, kiwi, grapefruit, and orange. You can choose from vanilla, yogurt, hojicha cream cheese, or royal milk tea ice cream to top it off. I went for the safe option of a mixed parfait with vanilla ice cream. The parfait was packed with lots of fresh fruits, giving it a strong fruit flavor. The combination of the tart fruits and sweet vanilla was just right. My friends tried yogurt and hojicha ice cream, which they also enjoyed. I wonder how cream cheese ice cream would taste in a parfait. Despite my curiosity, we left the shop feeling satisfied and full. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal. I had never thought about going out of my way to eat a fruit parfait in my life, but I was recommended by a friend and decided to visit. Honestly, I was surprised by the price of the parfait when I looked at the menu, but it was worth it. The fruits were fresh and very delicious. The amount of cream was just right, and I chose vanilla ice cream which was not too heavy, it was very refreshing and really good.

I was intrigued by the fruit-based parfaits and decided to visit after dinner. There were two main types of parfaits, the Mixed Fruit Parfait and the Premium Fruit Parfait, where you could choose the fruits you wanted. You also had the option to choose the ice cream flavor from vanilla, yogurt, cheese cream, and roasted green tea. This time, I chose the "Kaori-no" strawberry Premium Fruit Parfait (1980 yen) with cheese cream ice cream. The parfait that arrived was adorned with large strawberries, and I was so excited! The Kaori-no strawberries were full of juice, with a good balance of sweetness and acidity. They were more on the sweet side rather than sour. Parfaits are often thought of as overly sweet, but this one was packed with fruit and was light. The cream cheese ice cream was not heavy, and I could easily finish the parfait. It would be a delightful dessert choice after dinner, especially for women!

- Mixed Fruit Parfait for 900 yen - Other notes: Food and drink space available. No complimentary water or wet towels. Restroom availability unknown. No charging outlets. Average customer service. Average cleanliness. It may vary depending on the season and time, but there was no waiting to enter or pay at the cashier. - Description: A long-established fruit and vegetable store runs this fruit parfait specialty shop. Many customers are surprised by the deliciousness of the parfait and end up buying fruits as well.

All the parfaits are delicious! The seasonal parfaits are also good, and you can choose from flavors like hojicha ice cream or cream cheese, which is really nice. It's great that they're open until late, making it perfect to finish off a drinking party with a refreshing parfait!

This is a fruit-based parfait specialty shop that opens at 5 pm and stays open until late at night, which is quite unique. The shop was already crowded with people waiting at 4:45 pm. The premium fruit parfait with peaches for 1980 yen was the highlight, with a generous amount of peaches on top of whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. The quality of the peaches was excellent, with just the right amount of sweetness. The only downside was that the vanilla ice cream was a bit too fatty, lacking some smoothness.

I visited Fukuoka on a business trip and after two full days of work, I wanted to treat myself before heading back to Tokyo. I had researched this place in advance and arrived just after they opened at around 5 pm, so there were no other customers yet. I really wanted to try their signature parfait, but unfortunately, I couldn't make it in time, so I made sure to visit on my last day. The parfaits with two types of fruits cost around 1000 yen, while the premium fruit parfaits are around 2000 yen. I chose the Shine Muscat and apple parfait, while my colleague went for the pear and persimmon parfait. You can also choose from four types of ice cream! Both parfaits were refreshing and perfect for my tired body. The manager explained each fruit to us, which was very informative. I'm thinking of trying the premium parfait next time I come on a business trip. They apparently stay open until midnight, so I'll definitely try the parfait closer to closing time next time! That's all for my parfait diary!

I didn't know that the specialty dessert "Shime Parfait" originated in Sapporo and was also available in Fukuoka. I happened to stumble upon this shop in the area after drinking, and since I am a lady (sort of), I got excited about trying the parfait. There were various fruits and ice cream flavors to choose from, but I decided on the Nagano Purple parfait for 1980 yen. I was told that you can even eat the skin of the grapes. I chose the cream cheese ice cream, which was not too heavy and went well with the fresh grapes. It was delicious and I finished it in about 5 minutes. Parfaits can be expensive, but it's worth it for the taste. There are many parfait shops in Fukuoka where parfaits cost close to 2000 yen now. Overall, it was a tasty experience.

Late at night, being able to eat a fruit parfait is such a treat! It was past 10 PM on a Saturday night and Daimyo was bustling with people, almost every seat was taken. There was a friendly male staff member working alone that day. The Premium Fruit Parfait with Miyazaki mango was priced at 1944 yen and you could choose from 4 types of ice cream (vanilla, yogurt, black tea, and another flavor). Despite the crowded restaurant, the parfait arrived promptly without much of a wait. The portion was not too big, making it a perfect dessert after dinner.

Meet Niko, a girl who absolutely loves parfaits. Lately, she has been traveling all over the country in search of the perfect parfait. During a winter trip to Fukuoka, she decided to visit a parfait specialty shop called "Daimyo Parfait Fruit Planet" located in Daimyo, Fukuoka City. This shop is a sister store of the juice bar "Fruit Planet" in Fukuoka Tenjin Daimaru. It opened in April 2018 and is run by the third generation of a long-established fruit and vegetable store. Niko arrived at the shop right when it opened and found only one other customer there. The menu offers four types of mixed fruit parfaits and five types of premium fruit parfaits, as well as soft-serve ice cream. After consulting with the staff, Niko decided on the "Beni Madonna" parfait, which features a premium citrus fruit from Ehime Prefecture. She chose royal milk tea ice cream to accompany it. While waiting for her parfait, she was served freshly picked strawberries from Yame as a special treat. The parfait arrived looking radiant and delicious, with the bright orange Beni Madonna fruit stealing the show. The fruit was juicy, fragrant, and incredibly sweet. The cream was made with real whipped cream, and the royal milk tea ice cream paired perfectly with the citrus fruit. The simple combination of fruit, cream, and ice cream allowed the high quality of the fruit to shine through. Niko was impressed and left with a new favorite spot to enjoy parfaits in Fukuoka.
