After eating iron pot gyoza at "Hakata Gion Tetsunabe," we headed to Tenjin Minami for the second stop! A friend had recommended "Nenkin Bar Sakae"! The name and appearance of the bar were really cool! When we cautiously opened the door, we found a cozy snack bar with a counter for 10 seats, where three regular customers were having a great time singing karaoke. For 3,000 yen for men and 2,000 yen for women, you can enjoy all-you-can-drink, all-you-can-eat, and all-you-can-sing with no time limit, which is amazing! It seems like a famous snack bar where JUJU, Yoshida Yo, Announcer Yasumizu, and Tamadai Kintaro have visited! The mama is apparently from Sasebo and warmly welcomed us by saying, "You came at a good time~". I now have another place I want to revisit when I come back to Hakata!

In Omuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture, there is a drinking street called "Nenkin-dori" which is quite familiar. I came across a bar in Fukuoka City's Chuo Ward with a sign that said "Nenkin Bar" and it piqued my interest. In a building called Remix Tenjin near the Big Camera under the elevated tracks of Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station, there is a bar called "Nenkin Bar Sakae" with a vintage sign. The exterior gave little information about the place - what kind of bar it was, the prices, what drinks were available - so I hesitated before walking in. However, once inside, I was warmly welcomed by the mama-san. The interior had a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of a grandmother's house. I ordered a beer and soon charms started coming out. The system was all-you-can-drink for 3,000 yen with no time limit. The bar could be categorized as a snack bar, with the mama-san running the place and no young female staff. There was a karaoke machine and a mini stage, but I wasn't pressured to sing. I enjoyed my drinks while chatting with the mama-san, and noticed autographs from Yoshida Yo and Tamura Kenjiro, who had visited the bar for a TV show. It was a fun and cozy experience, and I even took home some nostalgic snacks.

Here, I was brought to this shop for certain reasons. The mama here is very popular in Fukuoka! If you search on Google for "Nenkin Bar Sakae," you'll see that they have been featured on TV. Recently, celebrities like Yoshida Yō, JUJU, and Tamabukuro Kintarō have visited here! It's like an idol for pensioners! By the way, please don't mind the man with his face covered, it's not me. This place has many regular customers who seem to have a great time. Highly recommended shop in Fukuoka!
