The season has turned to early autumn, and the surroundings are enjoying the autumn atmosphere, but my companion was still saying, "It's still hot, let's go to the pool, let's go," which was a noisy period. Somehow, they found out that the pool was still open at APA Hotel, so we went for a swim. We arrived at APA Hotel just a short walk from Shinjuku Sanchome. After a short wait, my companion also arrived. Before swimming (or rather, playing in the water), we decided to have lunch at IRISH PUB Peter Cole inside APA Hotel. It was just the right time for a reasonably priced lunch. I ordered the daily special Pork Ginger, and my companion ordered the Clam and White Wine Vongole Bianco. We also ordered a Heineken and a Kilkenny to go with the meal. Lunch included all-you-can-eat salad, bread, soup, and soft drinks, which was a great deal. The Pork Ginger, with summer vegetables on the side, looked appetizing with its beautiful colors. When I took a bite of the meat, the spiciness of the ginger hit first, followed by the subtle sweetness of the tender meat spreading in my mouth. The green's slight bitterness and the red's soft acidity were distinct in this sauce, making it delicious in a subtle way. This sauce also paired well with rice, and the rice was also delicious. The salad was fresh and crunchy, with okra and onions adding a nice touch. Even the boiled egg was a satisfying addition. The consomme soup had the right amount of saltiness. The sandwiches and bread, which I initially thought were nothing special, turned out to be surprisingly good. The sandwiches had a moist bread texture, and the croissant with sugar sprinkled on top had a light sweetness and was delicious. I apologize to all the bread skeptics for my preconceived notions. I only had a bite of the White Wine Vongole Bianco, but the clam broth with thin pasta cooked just right was delicious. We were full from the meal, including the great deals, so thank you for the meal. The spacious interior allowed us to enjoy our meal leisurely. The staff were efficient and left a good impression. There was a lottery ticket attached to the coaster, and we won, so when we went to exchange the prize on our way out, there was a party going on. It might be a nice place for a small gathering as well. The pool was a bit cold due to the sunlight, but the water inside was warm, making it just right for splashing around for the last time. This was my second visit, and as they say, "You won't catch a cold if you don't catch the wind," so fortunately, there was no catching a cold this time. I visited before the Rugby World Cup. At that time, I wondered what the prize was when I saw the seal. However, there was not much excitement at that time, but later on, it became very lively. The prize is kept carefully in a treasure chest, which seems to be more common among men. I think it was a wonderful decision to make such a difficult decision during the time of the coronavirus. Personally, I am grateful for your efforts. This summer, I will go to APA Hotel to enjoy the pool in a different location.
