Tenjin Chikagai is located near Tenjin Minami Station. I believe it used to be a 100 yen shop. I visited for a late lunch. There are many counter seats and single seats. It is bright and easy to enter. The menu offers various soups and curries, as well as set meals. I had the Curry and Soup Set for 1,120 yen. The curry was mackerel and spinach, served with sesame rice. The rice had a nice chewy texture. The curry was not too spicy, just right. I don't usually eat fish curry, so I appreciated the change. I chose Tom Kha Kai soup, an ethnic dish with coconut milk, lime, herbs, chicken, and vegetables. It's a nice place where you can eat without worrying about time. If you only order curry or soup, it's under 1,000 yen, making it affordable. I might go back when the menu changes. Thank you for the meal.

This popular soup shop opened in the Tenjin underground mall on April 24th. I love their "Lobster Bisque" and have had it multiple times at other locations. The atmosphere inside is bright and there are plenty of seats. I had the following: Lobster Bisque (470 yen) + Yeast Roll (170 yen) for a total of 640 yen (tax included, credit cards accepted). The Lobster Bisque is delicious and well worth the price for seafood lovers like me. The flavor is consistent and satisfying. The Yeast Roll is served warm and has a great texture, which I also enjoyed. The Lobster Soup here is tasty and the fact that it's available at this price point is a plus. They open at 10 am, so it could be a nice option for a morning meal.

I had never been to the newly opened underground shopping street in Tenjin, which had been a hot topic, so I decided to check out the shops there. You can choose two types of soup, rice (brown rice or white sesame rice) or bread for around 1000 yen. So cheap! I chose the most popular dishes, which were the lobster bisque and ratatouille curry. I opted for mixed grain rice. I had the impression that Soup Stock Tokyo was a shop targeting only female customers, focusing on healthy and light options. So I thought the soup might be light and not very filling. However, when I tried the lobster bisque, I was blown away by how delicious it was. The flavor of the lobster was rich and intense. Next, I tried the ratatouille curry. It was a tomato-based curry with soft, simmered summer vegetables and a strong spice aroma. The quality of both soups was excellent. The rice was a bit firmer than what I usually eat, but it was a nice touch for those on a low-carb diet. Despite thinking the soup might not be very filling, I ended up feeling satisfied and full after finishing the meal. There were mostly female customers, but I also saw some male customers. The shop also offers a free service for baby food, which has received mixed reviews, but the shop's philosophy is to "raise the body temperature of the world," not limiting it to only women. The new soup stock PARCO in Tenjin has a wider menu compared to the store located underground. The interior is not very spacious but bright and new.
