Shine Muscat was probably around ¥600. Actually, there was a sandwich shop next door (it's a corner so you can't see it unless you go around), and they had Shine Muscat too, but it was over ¥1000. It looked the same, so I chose this one. When I ate it at home, not only the surface Shine Muscat but also the cream inside the corners was fluffy, and the sweetness was just right. How happy I am. I am very satisfied, thank you. It was nice that a wet towel was included.

At the Mitsukoshi bakery corner, I was torn between choosing the Kimura family bread or the fairytale bread when an eye-catching Wenzhou mandarin caught my attention. It had a large mandarin placed between layers of strawberries and cream. When I tasted it, the cream wasn't too sweet, so the sweetness of the Wenzhou mandarin and strawberries stood out. It was a comforting flavor that was perfect for when you're feeling tired.

Whenever I went to Mitsukoshi, I was always curious about the fruit sandwiches at the Melhen Ginza Mitsukoshi store. I ended up buying quite a few on a tipsy impulse. The appearance was beautiful and I couldn't help but buy various types. The fruits were fresh and the cream was refreshing, not too rich, but after eating several, it was a bit... I had always wanted to try them someday, so I am satisfied to have had the experience this time.

The strawberry and orange sandwich caught my eye with its beautiful appearance. I bought it and decided to eat it at Yamaha. It was then that I realized I hadn't really thought about my purchase - I'm not a big fan of strawberries or oranges. I prefer sweeter fruits like watermelon, melon, and pear. However, the orange in the sandwich was surprisingly sweet, which was a relief. The cream in Merhen's fruit sandwich was not too sweet, making it easy to eat. Even though the orange was a bit too big and tricky to eat, overall, the sandwich was delicious. I would love to have 5 or 6 more of them.

They are cut in half and arranged. The cream content is overwhelming, so I wonder what the product name is. The Muscat was fresh and delicious, but I only had one bite, so here is my impression. However, it had enough impact to instantly improve my daughter's mood.

I decided to try the popular No. 2 item exclusive to Mitsukoshi Ginza, the "Warm Mandarin Fruit Special" (tax included 540 yen). It is filled with plenty of mandarin oranges, strawberries, and kiwi in whipped cream. The fruits are sweet, especially the mandarin oranges, making it very pleasant to eat. Merhen has a sense of stability. I am curious about the fruit sandwiches from other stores as well.

I'm not a big fan of fruits. Peeling them is a hassle, they're sweet but high in sugar, so I've stopped bothering to peel them myself. But if they're already peeled, I'll eat them happily. I love this Fruit Special with mandarin oranges (540 yen including tax). It's the best. The moist bread with fluffy cream, strawberries, mandarin oranges, and kiwi. The combination enhances each other's goodness, making it even more delicious. What's great about this place is that not only their fruit sandwiches are delicious, but their regular sandwiches too. The Menchi Katsu (411 yen) is so good, the menchi alone tastes better than the one you get from a butcher. It's great.

First Visit March 2020 (No.1675) This sandwich shop was founded in Tokyo Hachioji in 1983, offering over 100 types of sandwiches. They do not have their own factory but prepare everything freshly in the kitchens of department stores (where most of their outlets are located). According to their website, they recently opened their 27th store at Ginza Mitsukoshi, so I decided to visit! I purchased the limited-time special sandwich with Wenzhou mandarin oranges, priced at 540 yen, available only at Ginza Mitsukoshi from March 11th (Wed) to 31st (Tue). It's a sweet dessert sandwich with fluffy bread, gentle sweetness of whipped cream, dream strawberries, Wenzhou mandarin oranges, and kiwi fruit. The Wenzhou mandarin oranges were especially sweet and delicious. Although it's more expensive than convenience store sandwiches, the satisfaction matches the price.
