I visited LOG KITCHEN in Meirin, Jonan Ward for lunch a while ago. It's located near Fukuoka University, just off the main street with a convenient parking lot next to the restaurant. The interior is spacious with several table seats. The lunch menu includes daily specials like omurice, hamburger, chicken nanban, and curry. You can choose the rice portion for your lunch, which is nice. I tried the omurice with a topping of hamburger last time, and it was delicious. The large hamburger on top of the omurice with rich sauce was very tasty. The curry with hamburger topping also looked very appetizing. I would love to visit again.

The Chicken Nanban had a light batter with tender chicken breast. The sauce was slightly sweet with a thick consistency similar to Chinese vinegar chicken. The tartar sauce was light and tasty. The marinated chicken breast without skin was tender. It may look a bit different from the usual, but I really enjoyed the Chicken Nanban here. They also sell homemade dressing and Nanban sauce. It hasn't been long since I had Chicken Nanban in Miyazaki, so I decided to check out the Chicken Nanban in Fukuoka at "Log Kitchen", a restaurant located in a residential area with a log house design. It was crowded and there were people waiting. I was glad I made a reservation. The wait after ordering was long... I think I waited for over 30 minutes. Not recommended for busy office workers (;´д｀) The taste of Chicken Nanban was different from the authentic Miyazaki one! It was delicious. I preferred the Omu-rice here! It was loaded with eggs and very fluffy. The demi-glace sauce was also tasty. I wonder if it flows more smoothly on weekdays??? There were customers coming in one after another! You can order the normal size or increase it to 1.5 times or 2 times for an additional fee, which is a great deal! You can also get a free large serving of rice. The desserts after the meal are also delicious! The restaurant has been featured on Fukuoka TV. They make many condiments in-house, including miso, pickles, and tartar sauce. Sometimes the curry is cheaper than usual, so it's a good idea to take advantage of that and add a hamburger topping to the curry!
