Today was a gathering to wrap up work and a farewell party for a dispatched employee. Since my boss loves beer, I looked for a beer garden and found one! There was a beer hall! It's located in the basement of the Oriental Hotel at Hakata Station's Chikushi Exit, called Link Square. It costs 4500 yen, but if you buy tickets in advance, it's 4200 yen. You can also use it on the day of the event, so please make sure to get it. The buffet-style snacks are rich in variety, and if you wait a while, new options keep appearing. The beer selection includes craft beers, offering a wide variety. They may not be the most delicious, but it's perfect for having a good time with colleagues, isn't it? We had so much fun that I only took a picture of the first snack. We had beer, sake, highballs, cocktails, but I forgot to take pictures of any of them (laughs). It was a full house, including young people. Thank you for the feast!

Restaurant located in Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station, directly connected to Hakata Station of Sanyo Shinkansen, Hakata Minami Line, Kyushu Shinkansen, Kagoshima Main Line, Fukuhoku Yutaka Line, Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line, and Nanakuma Line. They are currently hosting a Strawberry Sweets Buffet on March 25th (Sat), 26th (Sun), April 15th (Sat), and 16th (Sun) from 13:30 to 15:00 (last order at 14:30). The buffet is priced at 3,800 yen for adults (tax included) and 1,500 yen for elementary school students and below (tax included). Cancellations are accepted until 19:00 two days prior, after which a 100% cancellation fee will be charged. Upon arrival, guests are required to pay first and will be guided to their seats. I arrived before 13:00, but the entrance was already open. While waiting, guests can take photos inside the venue and enjoy drinks. They offer Strawberry Mimosa (with or without alcohol) and sparkling wine at the drink corner. The buffet area has multiple stations, so it's important to remember what you have already taken. The buffet table at the back includes light meals and tends to get crowded. The arrangement of Tan Tan noodles at the end of the buffet line seemed a bit odd. The buffet offers a wide variety of sweets, including freshly made Japanese sweets. The Fraisier cake has a beautiful appearance and a delightful buttercream taste. The Strawberry Shortcake has a balanced sweetness that complements the strawberries. The Strawberry Mille-feuille features layers of puff pastry, cream, custard, and strawberries. The Zuccotto cake has a pistachio flavor. The Sakura shrimp and rapeseed carbonara had a unique taste with a hint of bonito flakes. The live demonstration featured a savory dish of pancake with cheese sauce. Despite some items running out towards the end, the buffet was promptly restocked. The hotel's Cafe & Bar CROSS POINT also offers a cake buffet, which I would like to try in the future.

The Croffle at Oriental Hotel is famous, but they also offer a service where they make thick mini hamburgers right in front of you. However, the actual size is more like a small McDonald's. The freshly squeezed orange juice made with real oranges is impressive and delicious. The cute display of mini donuts is eye-catching, and they have a unique touch with jam injected inside. The antipasto, fruit, ham, sausages, and fruits are plentiful and would be popular with women. The menu features typical Hakata specialties but with some surprising items. The egg over rice with various toppings is interesting and the crispy soy sauce adds a unique texture. This month is a trial period, so the prices are a bit cheaper, which was lucky for me. Thank you for the meal!
