Oka's mother and three sisters have been selling bento lunches in Sakai City, Momozono Akahatacho for 30 years. They moved to a new location on July 1st (Wednesday) from 4-chome to 5-chome and reopened. On that day, there were two sisters working. I found out about this place through Sakanyu. I also found out on Instagram that they are located across from Osaka Shinkin Bank Mozudori Branch. There is a coin parking lot next to the store. The interior of the store has a deep kitchen area. The bento lunches and side dishes are displayed in the front. The daily bento lunch costs 600 yen (tax included) and looked good, so I chose that. The bento lunch is full of homemade feel. The main dish today was stuffed mushrooms that were deep-fried. There was also a simmered dish, making it a healthy option compared to main dishes at restaurants. Everything is made with care and tastes really good. The daily side dishes change every day. They also offer phone reservations. Customers kept coming in and if they run out, they offer inarizushi, okonomiyaki, and even somen noodles for the summer. It's a good option for when you don't have much appetite (though that's never the case for me). I feel like I understand the secret behind their popularity in the local area for 30 years. Thank you for the delicious meal!

In October of the 4th year of Reiwa, the operating hours were from 10:00 until sold out. The omurice was delicious with good cost performance at 350 yen. By around 1 pm, the menu options were limited, but there were still bento boxes available. It's convenient to check the daily menu on Instagram.

Recently, a bento shop moved from Mozu Market to a new location. The original area used to have supermarkets and markets, but now it's all empty. I remember coming here a few times when I used to live in Yoncho a long time ago. By 1 pm, there was only one bento left and some side dishes. It seems like they don't have a wide variety of bentos. The remaining option is a mini bento for 500 yen, which includes pork ginger, pumpkin and minced meat stew, simmered highland tofu, and tonpei yaki. Since it's a mini bento, one might not be enough. If you want more information, you can contact them at 072-259-9745. The address is 5-463 Momozotori Akahatacho, Kita-ku, Sakai City, Osaka.
