The caramel bitterness in the pudding was delicious and nostalgic. Fruit sandwiches are always tasty, aren't they? When I visited during lunchtime on a weekday, there were surprisingly many office workers. The convenience of having light meals for lunch might be a reason for this. This time, I visited for a cafe experience. The interior of the shop has a retro and luxurious feel like a traditional coffee shop. The lighting is quite dim, creating a calm atmosphere where you can relax. However, when I visited, as mentioned earlier, there were many office workers, so depending on the time of day, it may be a bit difficult to immerse yourself in the atmosphere due to the lively conversations. Nevertheless, I think the shop's design is good. When it comes to cafe usage at Hoshino Coffee, the classic choice would be the souffle pancakes, but this time I decided to try the chocolate cake opera. I heard that this opera is delicious. I was intrigued to learn that Hoshino Coffee offers opera, so I decided to order it. For the drink, I chose the hot Hoshino Blend. After a short wait, the opera and coffee arrived. The simple and chic appearance is quite appealing, isn't it? Well then, let's dig in. The smooth texture and richness of the buttercream, the intense flavor of the chocolate, and the deep aroma of the coffee blend together beautifully. The balance between the coffee and chocolate flavors is about equal, complementing each other. The richness and depth of the buttercream are particularly strong, and it tastes really delicious! Additionally, the nutty texture and flavor provide a nice accent. Despite the moist texture overall, the distinct layers create a nice contrast in taste and texture, making it enjoyable to eat. Surprisingly, it doesn't feel heavy despite the moistness, and you'll find yourself wanting more. Mmm, this is delicious! I thought maybe being a chain store would limit the experience, but I was pleasantly surprised. Personally, I might prefer the opera over the souffle pancakes. From now on, the opera might become a staple for me at Hoshino Coffee.

Located along Yotsubashi-suji, on the west side of America-mura, is the Hoshino Coffee Shop. There is a Starbucks just to the north. The interior of the shop is quite spacious with partitioning for safety, allowing you to relax comfortably. During lunchtime, I tried the meat sauce and cheese pasta, which was surprisingly delicious. The pasta had a chewy texture similar to fresh noodles, and the combination of the sauce with the meat and cheese provided a rich flavor profile. I devoured it in no time.

After a long time, I watched a movie in Shinsaibashi and then had tea. The interior of the shop is quite spacious, relaxed, and calm. I had a souffle gratin and a baked souffle along with Star Blend coffee and Star Blend tea. The souffle gratin that caught my eye was a tomato-flavored gratin covered with meringue and baked. It was fluffy. The meringue was not very hot, but the gratin was very hot. There were about two servings of meringue. I wonder where the yolks went. The second fluffy item was the baked souffle. Perhaps the yolks from earlier are in this sauce. The top is quite well-baked. I pierced the middle to pour the sauce, but it didn't collapse as much as I thought. It's sweet. The souffle alone is quite sweet. It's so sweet that you don't even need the sauce. I think it would have been more enjoyable if it had been a little less sweet to appreciate the flavor changes.

For a change of pace, I decided to work at a café, but unfortunately, nearby coffee shops like Ueshima Coffee and Komeda Coffee have become completely non-smoking starting from March. So, I had to walk a little further to visit Hoshino Coffee Shop in Yotsubashi. Although it is a large store with smoking and non-smoking sections, they don't offer Wi-Fi. It's uncomfortable for smokers, and starting from April, they will also become completely non-smoking. Can anyone recommend a café in Nishi Ward that allows smoking and has Wi-Fi? I was surprised by the affordable bill at Hoshino Coffee Shop in Yotsubashi because I didn't know they offer half-priced second coffee after ordering three cups. Sometimes, I crave pancakes. I like the taste of oven-baked souffle pancakes, it's like the good old days. They are fluffy. Maple syrup is delicious. There's only a little bit of whipped cream on top, so you can finish it without feeling overwhelmed. But if you put too much maple syrup, it might be a bit too sweet.

I love the French toast breakfast at Hoshino Coffee, which is becoming a classic morning option. The French toast allows you to adjust the sweetness by adding your own syrup, which is nice. The coffee has a good balance of flavors and brings out the quality of the beans, but I wish the latte had a stronger roast flavor.

Hoshino Coffee's morning set may have small portions, but it's a bit of a deal. For 660 yen, you get a mini salad, boiled egg, half portion of French toast, and a drink. If you don't get the morning set, just the French toast alone costs 630 yen, so I think it's quite a good deal.

I usually go to Hoshino Coffee when traveling from Shinsaibashi to Kansai Airport. Today, instead of my usual French toast, I tried the chocolate souffle pancake and a cafe latte. The pancake was thick and not too fluffy like a souffle, with a subtle sweetness. The cafe latte was surprisingly delicious.

The seats were spacious and comfortable. The coffee and pudding were delicious.

I have used this shop several times, but this is my first time posting a review. I tried the "Orihime Blend" coffee. It had a refreshing taste and was just right for me to drink black.
