After leaving Hankyu Toyonaka Station and walking down the pedestrian bridge, you will find a delicatessen shop that specializes in fried foods. Their main offerings include croquettes, tonkatsu, and fried chicken, which take up most of the display case. They also fry tempura and sell fish fillets, which is a bit unusual. They have a wide variety of mayonnaise-based salads, with my favorite being the tuna salad with a tangy flavor. You can buy a wide range of side dishes to take home, and they can also make a bento box with rice for you, which is very convenient.

I went to Toyonaka for work after a long time. I walked around the shopping street in front of the station, and they were working hard despite the impact of the coronavirus. I had croquettes from this bento shop for the first time in a while. I ordered three of the croquettes called "Hamakoro," which have been around for 60 years. The coating is thin and slightly sweet. Although the sweetness is a bit different from my preference, the croquettes are very delicious as they are crispy and well-fried.
