I used it when I went to Yame. The parking lot is so spacious that it looks like it can accommodate tourist buses, and the appearance is impressive. There are many table seats, and there are also many private rooms. According to the waitress, banquets can also be held on the second floor. I was guided to a private room. There are two types of lunch. The 1650 yen lunch is a good deal, but my husband, who doesn't choose the same thing, chose... ◆ Bamboo basket bento (2170 yen: excluding tax) ... Tempura, simmered dishes, rice, etc. * Sashimi and chawanmushi are included. ◆ Sashimi includes "salmon," "sweet shrimp," "sea bream," "octopus," etc. ◆ Common: Vinegar before meals ◆ Common: Miso soup is delicious with white miso. I chose the "Iroha Momiji Course (1650 yen: excluding tax)" ◆ Hanakago... It's fun to see various items arranged. ◆ Macaroni salad is tasty ◆ Sashimi is a small amount of "salmon" ◆ Okra ◆ Deep-fried tofu - the seasoning is to my liking. ◆ Mizutaki... I don't like it, so I gave it to my husband. ◆ Tempura, rice, salad ◆ For dessert, you can choose from both, so I chose "matcha ice cream" and "roasted green tea ice cream." ◆ Coffee ◆ The menu shows prices in fractions, 1650 yen and 2170 yen, so I thought it was tax-included, but it's tax-exclusive. (@@;) Also, despite being such a large restaurant, they do not accept credit cards. > < The 1815 yen I paid (tax included) still felt like a good deal, but the 2387 yen (tax included) bamboo basket bento seemed expensive. The atmosphere is lovely, but there was a lingering sense of dissatisfaction with the food as well.

It was a Japanese restaurant I casually stopped by. I ordered the Sushi Gozen and Ufufu Gozen, which is recommended for women. They understand women's feelings by offering various dishes in small portions. Those who have such a restaurant nearby are lucky. 😊

When you rent a private room with your family, you can relax. We use it occasionally for family gatherings.

This is a visit to a restaurant after attending a memorial service. After the Buddhist monk's chanting, we all moved to the restaurant for a meal. The venue was a place called "Wakahime" located along Route 3. However, in my memory, it was supposed to be a restaurant called "Wakadaijin"... When we arrived, the signboard had both "Wakahime" and "Wakadaijin" written on it. Regardless, it was my first visit. The restaurant had a large parking lot and banquet halls, making it one of the largest Japanese restaurants in Hirokawa. We went inside and directly to the second floor, where there were multiple banquet halls. We had our meal in one of those halls. There was a small stage in the room, and even karaoke equipment, typical of Hirokawa. (laughs) From the adjacent hall, the sound of people already enjoying karaoke could be heard. Somehow, I was asked to give a toast after pouring the drinks... On the table were appetizers, sashimi, mozuku vinegar, egg tofu, and more. I gave a short speech, and the drinking party began. There was a designated driver, so we could enjoy our drinks without worry. I started with beer but switched to hot sake for something warm. I don't remember the brand, but the taste was quite normal. Hot sake goes well with cold sashimi on a chilly day. (*^^*) We also had dishes like miso-marinated eggplant, grilled sawara, tempura assortment with matcha salt, chawanmushi, juroku sushi, and individual pots with solid fuel. The dishes were served one after another with meticulous presentation. While there was nothing outstanding, there was also nothing to complain about, making it a pleasant memorial service. Thank you for the meal.

In the past, it was a place where large banquets could be held. The grandmothers were delighted. Now, we chose it as the place for the first meeting with my wife, under the name of creative kaiseki. It was the Yamabusho course, and well, the volume was good, and my companion's mother, my wife's father's side, and my wife's four people were all very happy. Anyway, I think it's a shop that can be used according to the scene.

It used to be a traditional Japanese izakaya called "Wakadasho" that mainly focused on banquets. A few years ago, it was renovated and turned into a casual Japanese restaurant that is easy to drop by. I was in the mood for sushi that day, so I searched on Tabelog and found this place. I had been here for lunch before, but I couldn't remember if they served sushi. When I arrived at the restaurant and looked at the menu, I found only one lunch set that included sushi. I ordered that, while my companion ordered a steak set. First, my companion's steak arrived. Since I was treating that day, I didn't hesitate to take a bite (laughs). To be honest, the taste was mediocre at best. Was it really Japanese beef? I couldn't sense the distinctive flavor of Japanese beef in that dry, fibrous meat. As for my sushi set, both the sashimi and nigiri seemed to be made from farmed and frozen fish, resulting in a very ordinary combination. The side dishes were mostly pre-packaged items like raw wheat gluten and yuba, which seemed like trendy ingredients favored by chain Japanese restaurants. Therefore, the taste was also quite ordinary. Despite the cleanliness of the room and the upscale ambiance of the restaurant, I felt that it fell just short of being an exceptional dining experience.

I made a lunch reservation with my friends in Yame and searched for a restaurant on Tabelog. We decided on this restaurant because it is easily accessible from the interchange, has a spacious parking lot, and we wanted to indulge a little. It only took about 5 minutes from Hirokawa Interchange to arrive, and the location was very easy to find. We made a reservation by phone two days before our Sunday lunch. There was a sign at the entrance saying "Reservation only today." We were glad we called ahead as we entered the restaurant. The interior was like a certain tofu cuisine restaurant, with a luxurious feel and private rooms. We had ordered the Summer Camellia set meal. The portion was modest, but there were many dishes, perfect for us who like to try a variety of small dishes. Small side dishes were set in a basket, and fried food, chawanmushi, and other dishes were brought one after another. We were impressed by the fact that we could enjoy a mini-course in a private room at this price, feeling the company's effort. For the final rice dish, we could choose between white rice with red miso or chirimen sansho tea pickles, and for dessert, matcha ice cream or cake. We were surprised by the cost performance. The only disappointment was the taste of the food, which left us feeling like, "Is this all?" The presentation of the dishes was nice, but the taste was bland and ordinary. I couldn't feel the delicacy and depth of flavors that I would expect from a high-class restaurant.

After payday, I had a little extra cash, so I decided to treat myself to a fancy lunch at a restaurant called "Waka" in Hirokawa-cho, Yame-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture, along Route 3. The restaurant had a high-class atmosphere and could accommodate over 150 people, making it one of the largest in Hirokawa. The interior was beautifully decorated with a traditional Japanese feel, and the staff, especially the friendly and polite waitresses, provided excellent service. I ordered the Summer Camellia Course for ¥2170, which included a variety of dishes served in a decorative basket and a steamed beef and vegetable dish. Each dish was meticulously prepared and delicious, and the meal ended with pickled mackerel, meat-stuffed dumplings, and hot tempura. The only downside was the occasional loud laughter coming from the kitchen next door, but overall, it was a great dining experience. I'll definitely be back to Waka again in the future.

May 1, 2013 How careless am I to be reviewing May now? But I must share about the delicious food at Wakana, otherwise people might say there are no good restaurants in Hirogawa Town. Facing National Route 3, Wakana used to be a large izakaya called "Wakadai" but a few years ago it was renovated and became a popular restaurant known as "Kyoto-style Tea Party Kaiseki Wakana." When you enter the spacious entrance, there are table seats, sunken kotatsu seats, and even private rooms in the back. I went with a friend and we were seated at a sunken kotatsu where we were served tea as a welcome. I chose the "Wakana Bamboo Basket Bento" and the "Summer Camellia Course" from the lunch menu, both priced at 2,100 yen. The presentation and variety of dishes were abundant, a bit much for a woman to finish. I remember enjoying the pasta salad and hojicha ochazuke. The Summer Camellia Course, in particular, was well-executed creative cuisine. The second floor can also be used as a banquet hall for group events. Overall, it is a convenient and enjoyable restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal. (*^。^*)

I visited this restaurant for the first time and ordered the course for 2,100 yen. I received so many dishes that it was too much to count, probably over 20. It could be described as modern kaiseki cuisine. The dishes kept coming without getting boring, satisfying all tastes - sweetness, sourness, saltiness, bitterness, and umami. The food, value for money, service, drinks, and atmosphere were all excellent. The service and ambiance in the restaurant were also great. It's not an area I often visit, but I would definitely want to come back to this restaurant when I'm nearby.

I am exploring nearby dining options. This is my second visit to this place. The first time, the staff seemed a bit flustered and I felt like there was a lack of calmness. However, this time the service was attentive and they even provided knee blankets. It's a bit disappointing that they serve hojicha instead of Yame tea, but I do love hojicha. This time, I ordered the "Ufufu set meal," which is limited to 10 servings! I had it before and it was delicious and filling, so I ordered it again. The sashimi here is elegant and easy to eat, with no fishy smell. There were about 8-10 side dishes. The gratin is unique with sea bream in it. The tempura is crispy and delicious too! For an additional ¥200, you can get a drink and dessert, but I think you can be satisfied without the extras. I would definitely like to stop by again.

This shop located along Route 3 was chosen by my companion for a birthday celebration, as it is a slightly stylish place. Upon entering the shop, there were several groups of women. We had the 2100 yen course in a private room overlooking the garden. The meal included appetizers, assorted dishes in a basket, hot pot, tempura, rice, and dessert. The sashimi was a bit watery, and the tempura lacked a crispy texture, but overall, the dishes had a gentle flavor and were beautifully presented, making them delicious. It's great to enjoy this variety of dishes at this price! The service, however, could be improved as the staff, mostly student part-timers, brought out dishes without checking if we were ready, and there were delays in serving drinks. Nevertheless, all the staff members were polite and sincere in their responses. It was my first time at this restaurant, but I was satisfied with the atmosphere and the meal. Thank you for the feast. I would like to visit again.
