A standing bar where even a woman who loves sake can easily enter alone! Yotsuhashi Sniper Japanese sake Drinking alone is fine! This time, I explored the Yotsuhashi area. I found a standing bar in the basement of a building directly connected to the Osaka Metro Yotsuhashi Station called "Sniper." The atmosphere inside the shop is stylish, with only a counter, and it is run by a single mama. The main drink is Japanese sake, and the handmade menu list has various options written on it, making it easy to understand. Japanese sake is priced uniformly, with a small size for 300 yen, a medium size (half cup) for 500 yen, and a large size (1 cup) for 1000 yen. I decided to go for the medium size because I wanted to try various types. I ordered a sake with a unique name, "Victor Throw to Knee Cross Hold," made with Hitomebore rice with a polishing ratio of 55% and an alcohol content of 15% for this season. It is a cloudy sake that is dry yet has a roundness typical of cloudy sake, making it very easy to drink. I fell in love with it at first sip! I also ordered a 3-kind appetizer plate for 500 yen, which included water eggplant with mustard, soybean sprouts pickled in fish sauce, and dried young sardines. All of them were excellent dishes that complemented the Japanese sake, as expected from the homemade side dishes of the mama who loves sake. I also tried several other types of sake, but I'm not knowledgeable about sake, so I apologize. Another dish I tried was myoga liver salad for 400 yen, which turned out to be salted squid liver! It was also a perfect match for the sake! The thickly sliced seared bacon for 300 yen was also amazing, with a crispy surface and a sweet richness of fat oozing out. Everything I ate was delicious, and the sake went down so smoothly that by the time I left, I was in a great mood. The conversation with the mama was lively, and it was a very enjoyable shop! I have now added this place to my favorites, so a return visit is a must. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Sniper Nihon no Osake Hitorinomi is a Japanese sake bar located on the underground first floor of a building directly connected to Yotsubashi Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line. The bar is run by a single mama-san and consists of a counter-only standing bar with space for about 9 people. Customers pay for their drinks using a cash-on style system, where they put money into a small container in front of them each time they order. It's convenient to decide on a budget beforehand and put the money in advance. I always have trouble deciding what to drink when I come here, so this time I ordered a tasting set of 3 kinds of sake for 800 yen. The prices for individual sake are S 300 yen, M 500 yen, and L 1000 yen, and they also offer beer, shochu, whiskey, and more. Snacks to accompany the drinks range from 200 yen to 400 yen, with options like duck roast and a set of 3 snacks for only 500 yen. Tonight, I had the Akaten for 400 yen, salted bonito for 200 yen, and homemade pickled ginger for 200 yen. I usually don't like processed foods, but the crispy red tempura was delicious, and the moist bonito with a hint of vinegar was tasty. The pickled ginger also paired well with the sake. This was my second stop of the night, but the variety of dishes available makes it a great option for both first and second stops. The bar is open from 4 pm, making it a popular spot for early evening drinks. Thank you for the meal!

Having dinner at "Sniper Japanese Sake Hitori Nomi" located in the underground 1st floor dining building directly connected to Yotsuhashi Station. The clean and cozy standing bar is run by the owner herself. You put money into a small aluminum container in front of you each time you order, which is a cash-on style. You can also pre-set your budget beforehand. There are so many types of sake to choose from, it's hard to decide - perfect for me! I tried the sake tasting set for 800 yen, featuring a stylish and beautiful label from the Junmai sake from Carasaka, Wakayama. It was refreshing and easy to drink, with a crisp dry option also available, both delicious. The individual prices for sake are S 300 yen, M 500 yen, L 1000 yen, and they also offer beer, shochu, whiskey (Kaku), awamori, non-alcoholic beer, and soft drinks. For sake pairing, I had the Assorted Appetizers for 500 yen, including roast duck, garlic and ponzu marinated daikon radish, and wasabi sesame Chinese cabbage - all delicious. The Cauliflower Tatar Zoi for 300 yen with diced radish in the tartar sauce was a tasty surprise. The Salted Kombu with Shiitake Mushrooms for 300 yen had a nice balance of saltiness and sesame flavor. The Seared Thick-Cut Bacon for 300 yen had a great smoky flavor and juicy fat. The appetizers range from 200 yen, and all were tasty and perfect with sake. The cozy standing bar is a comfortable place to stop by alone. Thank you for the delicious meal!

On June 3, 2022, Friday, after visiting the Tropical Parlor Okinawa event at Hankyu Department Store, I took the subway on the Yotsubashi Line to Yotsubashi Station. It was my first visit to this building connected to the second exit of the station. It was past 6 pm. I had met the female owner of this place at an event at Shinsaibashi Parco before and she gave me a flyer for this place. The flyer said that if you order a drink over 400 yen, you can get one item from the food menu under 300 yen for free. It was truly a building right next to the station gates with various bars and eateries inside. Could this be a pub crawl building? (laughs) Sniper is a standing bar with a narrow counter where you can't walk behind people. But because of this, you can talk closely with the owner and get friendly with the person next to you. It's a great bar. Payment is done through a cash-on-delivery system where you put your budget in front of you in a container and pay as you order, making it easy to keep track of how much you've spent. It had been a while since the three of us got together, so we enjoyed various kinds of sake. We also got three complimentary dishes from the flyer: dried firefly squid, cream cheese with black pepper, and smoked truffle cheese. They all went well with the sake! We each had 500 yen size drinks and enjoyed them slowly. We also ordered some more food and had a great time. We even had some delicious sake from Saga Prefecture that I love. Besides sake, they also have beer, shochu, awamori, highball, and more, so it's recommended even for those who don't like sake. It seems like they have regular events and such, so it's a good idea to check their Instagram. Thank you for the wonderful time!
