A standing bar where even a woman who loves sake can easily enter alone! Yotsuhashi Sniper Japanese sake Drinking alone is fine! This time, I explored the Yotsuhashi area. I found a standing bar in the basement of a building directly connected to the Osaka Metro Yotsuhashi Station called "Sniper." The atmosphere inside the shop is stylish, with only a counter, and it is run by a single mama. The main drink is Japanese sake, and the handmade menu list has various options written on it, making it easy to understand. Japanese sake is priced uniformly, with a small size for 300 yen, a medium size (half cup) for 500 yen, and a large size (1 cup) for 1000 yen. I decided to go for the medium size because I wanted to try various types. I ordered a sake with a unique name, "Victor Throw to Knee Cross Hold," made with Hitomebore rice with a polishing ratio of 55% and an alcohol content of 15% for this season. It is a cloudy sake that is dry yet has a roundness typical of cloudy sake, making it very easy to drink. I fell in love with it at first sip! I also ordered a 3-kind appetizer plate for 500 yen, which included water eggplant with mustard, soybean sprouts pickled in fish sauce, and dried young sardines. All of them were excellent dishes that complemented the Japanese sake, as expected from the homemade side dishes of the mama who loves sake. I also tried several other types of sake, but I'm not knowledgeable about sake, so I apologize. Another dish I tried was myoga liver salad for 400 yen, which turned out to be salted squid liver! It was also a perfect match for the sake! The thickly sliced seared bacon for 300 yen was also amazing, with a crispy surface and a sweet richness of fat oozing out. Everything I ate was delicious, and the sake went down so smoothly that by the time I left, I was in a great mood. The conversation with the mama was lively, and it was a very enjoyable shop! I have now added this place to my favorites, so a return visit is a must. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
