When I went for a field survey in Minami Ward, I stopped by to buy lunch at Sapporo Kimuraya Direct Sales Store, Usagi no Pan Kobo. This place is actually the family home of the singer Maki Ohguro, known for providing bread for school lunches. The parking lot in front of the store can fit a few cars. Inside the store, they sell bread in boxes like the ones used for school lunches. I bought the "Jumbo Insect Cake Plain (110 yen)" and three pieces of "Sweet Bread (130 yen each)". There were so many types of bread that I couldn't remember the names, but it was a nostalgic bakery and I left satisfied.

I watched TV and then went shopping. I bought a loaf of bread, a croissant, a sesame-coated roll, and a ham sandwich that everyone was eating as a souvenir. The total came to 540 yen. The entrance of the shop was cute. I almost got the lucky bag for 200 yen, but missed it by a hair.

On the way to a soba noodle shop, my wife mentioned that she wanted to stop by a bakery on the way back, so we decided to check it out. Inside, they had ham rolls! It reminded me of when a coworker recommended them to me because they are delicious. And the croissants were only 30 yen each, super cheap! I ended up buying so many that I couldn't fit them all on the tray (laughs). I remember seeing on TV that this bakery has surprise bags with leftovers from the previous day, and people line up before opening. The ham rolls had a simple but tasty flavor, and the bread was soft and delicious. Even though I bought a mountain of bread, it only cost a little over 1200 yen, so reasonable. It's nice that they use local wheat. I'll definitely stop by here again next time. Thank you for the meal.

Established in 1927 as a branch of Ginza Kimuraya, Sapporo Kimuraya is a direct sales store founded through a split of the noren curtain. The founder is Masayoshi Daikuro, the father of singer Maki Daikuro. In 2002, the company filed for the Civil Rehabilitation Law, and the main store of Kimuraya started providing management support. On May 1, 2015, it reopened as "Usagi no Pan Kobo" (Rabbit Bread Workshop). As of the end of November 2016, they stopped wholesaling to mass retailers. Product: - Hokkaido Bread (Anpan) - Calories: 298kcal This bread uses Hokkaido-grown wheat, Hokkaido-grown red beans, Hokkaido-grown sugar, and "Golden Sodachi Betsukai Milk" from Betsukai-cho, Hokkaido, among other ingredients. It is a bread that is particular about using Hokkaido-grown raw materials, but not only that, it also uses Italian natural yeast Panettone type, making it a long-life bread with a very long shelf life. There are several varieties, and the one purchased was Anpan. The dough made from "Golden Sodachi Betsukai Milk," which is made from milk from cows raised with rice grown in Hokkaido and spring water from Lake Mashu, is milky with a slightly chewy texture. The red bean paste made from Hokkaido-grown red beans is smooth and sweet. It is not particularly delicious bread, but it uses a lot of Hokkaido-grown raw materials, and the shop is the family home of Maki Daikuro. It also has a long shelf life, making it a unique Hokkaido souvenir option.

On a certain weekday, after a little expedition to have soup curry, I also stopped by this bakery with a shop front selling their bread. The parking lot seemed to have enough space for cars. There was a large factory in the back, with a building of decent size in the front where bread was displayed in a factory-like manner. Inside, the bakery had a normal size with various bread displayed. From the menu that day, I chose a few items that caught my eye. The "Hokkaido Bread (100 yen)" was relatively large and had "milk bread" written on the cover. It had a slightly sweet taste with a hint of milk, a bit dry but still enjoyable for someone who doesn't like overly sweet bread. The "Ishiyama Anpan (200 yen)" had Danish pastry with creamy filling and red bean paste, making it seem like a dessert. The "Jumbo Steamed Cake Plain" was recommended by a small child who was also a customer. It was a large steamed cake with a sweet egg flavor, a bit sweeter than average but reminiscent of the delicious bread from high school days. Overall, the bakery offered a mix of prices that felt both high and low, and the bread, although not freshly baked, was still enjoyable.

I visited a bakery that was featured on TV with my friend who loves TV (note: over 60 years old). We managed to calm them down and headed to the Art Forest. Today, we arrived at the bakery. The opening time is 10 o'clock. We lined up 15 minutes before and were 8th in line. By the time they opened, there were nearly 30 people waiting in line. The influence of TV is amazing! There were about 10 lucky bags, but they sold out quickly. There were also other special pastries on display, but we only bought the lucky bag we came for! When we got home and counted, there were 12 pastries in the bag. 12 for only 200 yen including tax is amazing! I would love to visit again if the timing is right. Thank you, "Usagi" bakery!

Visit date April 10, 2019. On this day off, I headed to Sapporo International Ski Resort with my brother-in-law. On the way, my brother-in-law wanted to revisit a taste from his college days, so we stopped by Kimuraya direct sales store, which is apparently the hometown of Daikoku Maki. We arrived before they opened and there was already a line, but we managed to get the ham roll we were looking for once they opened. We ate it in the car - the roll had lettuce and ham sandwiched between buns, with mayonnaise underneath. It had a simple and delicious taste, but be careful as the mayonnaise tends to drip. The ham roll is good for breakfast or when you need a quick snack. After enjoying this nostalgic taste, we headed to Sapporo International Ski Resort.

Kimuraya, a bakery located in Sapporo, Hokkaido, was founded in 1927. It was a branch of Kimuraya main store, but faced bankruptcy in 2002 with a debt of 900 million yen. With the support of the original Kimuraya main store, it successfully revived under the Civil Rehabilitation Law. Since 2016, they have stopped supplying to supermarkets and have been quietly operating. Despite the founder's passing in 2000, the bakery continues to offer a set of 8 buns for only 200 yen, attracting customers with its affordable prices. The bakery is known for its satisfying buns priced at 50 or 100 yen, and the fact that they offer 8 buns for 200 yen daily is quite impressive. Let's hope for their continued success.

After a long time, I went on a cafe-hopping adventure with a friend who loves cafes and sweets. This time, we visited places in Minami-ku based on the cafe lover's request. Since the target cafe wasn't open yet, we had some time to spare, so we decided to head to Kimuraya Direct Sales Store first, as the cafe lover wanted to go there. When we arrived, we saw many cars parked outside the store. It turned out that everyone was waiting for the store to open to buy a bag of assorted bread for 200 yen. We lined up and managed to get our allocation before they ran out. The bag contained 10 pieces of bread, including a chocolate croissant and a moist steamed bun. It was a great deal for 200 yen. We shared the bread with our families. The chocolate croissant was coated with chocolate on top and filled with cream inside, perfect for chocolate lovers. The steamed bun was soft and had a gentle sweetness with a hint of egg flavor. It was definitely worth it. I'll have to try again to find a bag with my favorite bread inside. Thank you for the meal!

I really wanted to visit here!! Kimuraya's direct sales store that I am familiar with. I couldn't visit before because of the poor transportation access, but this time I went on a tour of Minami Ward with Wu-ta. I asked them to visit, and they kindly agreed!! * Surprise bag (200 yen) contained 6 bread rolls and 8 mini croissants. This is too cheap for 200 yen...!! I think all the bread rolls were similar, but there were many mini croissants and long bread rolls with sesame seeds, so I chose the mini croissants. Of course, Kimuraya's iconic "anpan" was included as well. The dough is at the level of typical commercial sweet bread, but... the smooth and sweet bean paste tasted incredibly delicious after not having it for a while. Also, the croissant with chocolate and cream inside made me very excited. I also enjoyed the "Jumbo mushi cake" that I love so much. The limited quantity surprise bags were the main attraction, and there was already a line before the store opened. If you are aiming for the surprise bag, it's better to line up a little before the store opens. Recently, I only buy bread from proper bakeries, but when I ate commercial bread that I can easily buy at the supermarket, I thought, "It's delicious after a long time." However... the sight of bread packed tightly in a bag doesn't really stimulate my appetite (lol). I've always wanted to visit this shop, so I'm very satisfied that I could finally visit it♡

In 2015, the shop changed from a traditional direct sales location to "Usagi no Pan Kobo." I visited this shop in Tokiwaduring my visit to another nearby shop. Although the selection was limited during my visit, I tried the two items mentioned above. The bread was simple but not bad. [Takeout] Kimuraya Soko Honten officially passed down its expertise to Sapporo Kimuraya Co., Ltd., which has a bakery outlet located at its main factory. It is also the family home of singer-songwriter Maki Ohguro, and currently, her brother serves as the company president. The company actively employs people with disabilities and has made the factory barrier-free, which required a significant investment. Keep up the good work! The shop is located about 500m from the intersection of Makomanai-dori and Hiragishi-dori, along the National Route 453 towards the Geijutsu no Mori direction. [Visit on May 25, 2017, around 1 pm] I had known about the bakery outlet for a while but finally had the chance to visit. The selection of bread displayed in the shop is around 10 varieties, and being attached to the factory, the lineup may vary each time you visit. I found the butter rolls that I always buy whenever I see them at a bakery. I bought 6 pieces for 30 yen each, along with a few other items priced at 100 yen each. The butter roll had a good balance of yeast flavor, and the texture was to my liking. I baked it in a fish grill since there was no toaster, and reheating it enhanced the sweetness of the wheat and the aroma. The ham roll, sold in the refrigerated case, had the same taste as before and was quite satisfying with ham, lettuce, and mayonnaise. The chocolate steamed cake was another favorite of mine, with a delicious taste and texture. The remaining two items were also tasty, and among commercially available pastry bread, they were on the better side. Keep up the good work, Sapporo Kimuraya, Roba Pan, and Nichiro Pan! I hope to see more of Kudou Pan in Hokkaido as well. (・ω・) Oh, the joys of being an adult!

I was told about this place by a friend who lives nearby. I arrived a little before the opening time on a weekday and there were about 10 people already in line. It seems like the lines will be even longer in the future. The most popular item is the discounted pack on the shelf to the left inside the store. It's limited in quantity and once it's gone, it's gone. I was able to get the last one! The people at the front must have chosen different items because mine included melon bread, bean bread, twist Danish, and other assorted breads, with 2 of each, totaling 10 pieces. And all for only 200 yen! The bread inside the store is also cheap, with some priced at 50 yen. There were many different types of bread available, including a 1-pound loaf for 150 yen. The ham rolls were located in the refrigerated section to the left of the register and cost 100 yen. It reminded me of the ones sold at my high school's store, so I couldn't resist buying one.

In a corner of a bread factory, a new shop called "Usagi no Pan Kobo" (Rabbit Bread Workshop) opened in May this year at Sapporo Kimuraya direct sales store. While I liked the atmosphere of buying bread in a corner of the factory, the use of a rabbit logo made it cute and friendly. The bread from Kimuraya is not particularly different from what you would buy at a supermarket, but buying directly from the factory gives you a feeling of getting a good deal. There's a strange feeling of added deliciousness when you buy from the factory. The petit bread is like a mini baguette, simple, with a good wheat flavor and a nice texture. The price of 40 yen per piece is also attractive. I also enjoyed other breads for breakfast. ☆☆☆ Next Episode Preview ☆☆☆ I will definitely come back again.

It's like a bread, or more like a Danish pastry? My father brought it for the celebration of my little brother's university entrance and birthday, as well as my sister's birthday. It's a slightly sweet bread that can last for a while, often used as a gift. I had to leave early for school, so I toasted it in the toaster for breakfast. I wrapped the first one in foil and toasted it gently, while the second one I put it in sideways with the frankfurter for a quicker toast, but I ended up burning it. When I came back after taking out the trash, my dad was standing in front of the toaster looking stunned. It wasn't completely burnt, so that was a relief, but I hope he stops daydreaming and burning things in the toaster in the morning, haha.

A town with more cows than people, Betsukai Town. They use the golden milk from there to make Hokkaido bread. However, I didn't feel impressed at all. Hmm, what's so great about it? I don't know. It's not bad, but it's not impressively delicious either. Maybe I eat too much tasty bread on a regular basis?

June 3, 2020 [Regular Restaurant Review] I didn't plan on having bread for my meal, but then I remembered that I also had some bread (^^;) It was a bread I got at my workplace - from Sapporo Kimuraya Direct Sales Store, Usagi no Pan Kobo. I remember being really impressed by their bread before. Today's bread was round, like a sandwich. Inside, there was ham, lettuce, and mayonnaise. It was a safe bet (laughs). I tried it, and the taste of the bread itself was really good. The sweetness and aroma of the wheat were solid. The amount of filling was a bit on the low side, but the mayonnaise was just right. If you can buy bread of this quality for around 100 yen, it's a great deal. After eating this much, it's definitely enough. And of course, the more I eat, the more sweet potato shochu I drink (^^;) I drank too much again today. Blame it on the coronavirus (laughs). On a serious note, there's a tendency for some quarantine weight gain. I need to be more careful. I enjoyed it very much!! Thank you for the meal♪

Today, I couldn't leave my workplace during lunchtime, so I had to buy something to eat at the store. I came across a bakery and decided to try their Ham and Egg Bread. The bread was soft and the egg was mild, and they matched perfectly with the ham. It was surprisingly delicious. I ended up having this bread with seafood noodles for lunch. Despite wanting to avoid such meals, I had no choice today. Due to recent medical treatment, my blood test results show that I am quite healthy. I need to make sure to continue my treatment regularly. I haven't been eating ramen as often due to the current situation with the coronavirus. But if it helps improve my health, I'll still crave for ramen! The bread was really tasty. Thank you for the meal!
