I came to the restaurant with about 6 people to drink. I have great trust in Dandadan! I really love it. As for the drinks, this time I had about 4 drinks, and I was completely hooked on the ginger highball. It's so delicious that I wish it would become a regular at every bar... I realized that ginger and highball go so well together. As for the food, I didn't take many photos, but we ordered various dishes! Cabbage mountain, cod roe salad, meat and bean sprouts, char siu, and more. They were all seasoned perfectly and made me want to drink more and more. And of course, the dumplings. There's no way I could leave without eating them when I come here. No matter how many times I eat them, I am always impressed by their deliciousness... Thank you so much!

Located right behind the Kabukicho ward office, this restaurant has a spacious seating area although the number of seats is large. The staff are friendly and the service is good. The dumplings have a consistent taste, although it feels like the content has changed slightly since before the pandemic. In addition to this, they offer a variety of Chinese-inspired dishes such as oil-splashed chicken and century egg, which are also quite tasty. While it may not be authentic Chinese cuisine, the food is delicious and the restaurant is easy to visit. What's more, the drinks here are especially delicious!笑

I had some business near Shinjuku City Hall and since I injured my foot, I decided to rent a bicycle from the docomo bike share port. When I realized I was hungry, I couldn't walk around much with my injured foot, so I went into the Dandan Shinjuku store right in front of me. It's nice to have these common chain izakaya restaurants around for times like this. It's reassuring to be able to use them in situations like this. The area around here is full of sketchy places in Kabukicho, so you have to be careful. I had a draft beer for 548 yen, taro salad for 548 yen, crispy oil-drizzled chicken for 768 yen, and grilled dumplings for 526 yen. The taro salad was good, with mentaiko (spicy cod roe) mixed in, which was excellent. The crispy oil-drizzled chicken was well done, with no greasiness from the chicken skin, making it a nice protein dish. You can't go wrong with dumplings. They were juicy, like small soup dumplings. Just the right amount to satisfy my hunger. All's well that ends well.

I discovered a mysterious campaign offering half-price beer due to the soaring cost of beer ingredients, so I went to take advantage of it. Instead of being limited by time, this campaign is based on the number of glasses you order. The famous Dandadan style offered 100,000 glasses at half price, and there are now only 40,000 glasses left. Everyone is happy about it! As always, the gyoza is amazingly delicious with its juicy filling bursting out with every bite. I may be messy when eating, but I enjoyed the beer and felt happier than anyone else. Then there's the chicken wing gyoza! It was incredibly delicious. I've been a regular at this place, but today made me love Dandadan even more. Half-price feast, it was great!笑

Tonight, I checked in at Dandadaan, a restaurant known for its juicy dumplings. I arrived around 18:30 and there were a few groups of customers inside. I sat at a table for two and was promptly asked to order some dumplings, as expected from a dumpling specialty restaurant. Since I was dining alone, I ordered just one piece. I also ordered a large highball. I also ordered an onion salad, seared chashu, and dumpling skin crackers. The onion salad was a typical salad, but the plate was small and difficult to eat from. The ponzu dressing was sparse and only coated the top. Towards the end, I got a bit tired of it. The seared chashu was decent for its price, but the gaminess was a bit off-putting. The dumplings, on the other hand, were the star of the show. They were filled with plenty of juicy meat, living up to their name. Personally, I would have preferred a bit more char on them. However, the standout was the excellent service from the staff. They were energetic, smiling, and attentive. Their enthusiasm brightened my mood. I left feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

A popular izakaya that is open late, which is convenient. The gyoza is chewy but easy to eat, so we ordered two for the two of us. The balance is good and we like it. The garlic and garlic sprout soy sauce pickles are great, especially if you have the next day off. It's not too strong and goes well with alcohol, but the smell lingers afterwards. The taro salad and gyoza skin senbei are also delicious. The crispy senbei is fragrant and tasty. The taro salad is very smooth and creamy. The century egg comes whole but pre-cut, which is convenient. The horse sashimi has random cuts, with some being from parts not listed on the menu, like the futaego. I don't mind the sweet soy sauce, but it's nice to have the option of eating it with salt. The restaurant is usually not too crowded, making it easy to get a table, and the staff are not too loud, which is nice.

"Dandadan is popping up in various places lately. After finishing our drinks, my friend mentioned they were hungry, so we decided to stop by. No matter where you eat, you can enjoy a decent level of deliciousness and affordability, so you can use it with peace of mind. Thank you for the meal."

I love the gyoza at this restaurant where the meat juice flies everywhere. Recently, they added plate dumplings and soup dumplings to the menu, which are highly recommended. The spicy tsukemen allows you to choose the level of spiciness. I tried the spiciest option and it was incredibly spicy, but also packed with flavor, so I recommend it to those who enjoy spicy food!

I have visited this restaurant many times. I am usually sensitive to changes in taste, and I feel like the taste has declined since they started ignoring their original declaration. Maybe they are adjusting the cost of ingredients. Normally, I love their gyoza and other dishes like horse sashimi, and even their ramen is surprisingly delicious. However, it seems like they are using a strategy where they unnecessarily pack customers in during the daytime, making the seating area cramped. It's my favorite restaurant! Please make positive improvements!

I have been to this restaurant a few times when I went to Shinjuku, and it's a place I really like because I love gyoza! It had been a while since I last went, but I was relieved to see that there were customers there, although it wasn't crowded due to the coronavirus. As usual, I ordered gyoza first, and it was delicious as always! The skin is especially chewy and exquisite! After having a light meal, I also ordered a coriander salad. It was crunchy and very delicious!

I had a 700 yen lunch set with gyoza. The gyoza had a delicious flavor that didn't even need soy sauce. Adding soy sauce and vinegar made it even tastier. The customer service was great, they even saw me off. It's also nice that they accept PayPay.

This is "Dandadan Sakaba" in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. It's a pretty common izakaya that you see around, but it was my first time here. The gyoza here is filled with juicy meat, and when you bite into it, the juice comes out, haha. By the way, it's seasoned so you can eat it even without soy sauce. Other snacks like duck eggs are also delicious.

I visited this place for the second time. Shinjuku seems to be experiencing a significant decline in inbound visitors... There weren't many people in the streets, but this place was bustling. It has a casual atmosphere, so the distance between customers and staff is close... It reminded me of Yokocho. It's a famous gyoza and sake bar, with an energetic presence that I've been seeing in many places lately. The gyoza had plenty of juicy meat and was delicious. Since it was my second visit, I didn't eat much, but the tea mixed with alcohol was so light that I wondered if it actually contained alcohol... Maybe because there are many young customers, there seems to be a demand for drinks with less alcohol content? I thought about it. There were no appetizers, the food was delicious. If I had to make a wish, I think it would be even better if it were non-smoking. I was surprised to see that there are still so many smokers (laughs).

After work. The mood for dumplings matched with a senior colleague from the company, so we decided to find a place in Shinjuku that we could easily go to. We wanted to go to Fukubao, but we didn't want to wait. We decided on a place that my senior colleague had never been to. The place seemed to attract a young crowd, mostly university students to people in their late 20s. It was noisy. We ordered highball, pan-fried dumplings, boiled dumplings, mapo tofu, bean sprout and pork tofu, and chicken wing dumplings. Pan-fried dumplings: The filling was a bit too firm for my liking, but the skin was good. Boiled dumplings: Okay. Mapo tofu: Strong scent of Sichuan peppercorns. Oddly sweet. Tastes more like luro than mapo. Strange. Bean sprout and pork tofu: Too heavily seasoned. Chicken wing dumplings: These were delicious. Freshly fried and piping hot. The highlight. Who would have thought to stuff dumpling filling inside chicken wings? Genius. Despite the appearance and concept of the restaurant, the prices were higher than expected. Each highball was ¥480 in a small tumbler. Reminded me of how pricey it was at Isomaru Suisan. I wonder what the young crowd finds so appealing about this place. I don't think I would willingly come back here.

Visited around 9:30 pm on a regular day with no line. The restaurant was about half full. It was our second stop of the night. We had the juicy meat dumplings for around 500 yen and the garlic-marinated gizzard for around 400 yen. We also had two glasses of draft beer for 480 yen each. The dumplings were as the name suggests, juicy and satisfying with thick skin. However, at around 500 yen for 6 dumplings, it felt a bit pricey. The garlic-marinated gizzard lacked the crunchy texture but still had a good garlic flavor. They have a variety of horse sashimi dishes, which we didn't try this time. The restaurant is located at the northern end of Shinjuku 2-chome, which is convenient, and the space is spacious and easy to use. The total cost per person, including alcohol, was around 1000 yen.

Today we decided to drink in Shinjuku and visited Dandadan Sakaba. It is located between Kabukicho and Yasukuni Street. Their slogan "Gyoza and beer are culture" is great! In my experience, it felt like the largest store in Dandadan Sakaba. I always order their bean sprouts, which I love! The gyoza is also delicious. The staff are all very nice, so I felt safe drinking and eating in Shinjuku, which can be intimidating. Thank you for the meal!

As a dumpling lover, I was curious about this restaurant that is rapidly expanding with multiple locations, but I generally don't gravitate towards chain restaurants, so I put off visiting. Today is Sunday. After waking up around noon, I lounged in bed and did some laundry, and before I knew it, it was past 4 PM and I hadn't eaten anything, feeling extremely hungry. I decided to head to my favorite bar in Sanchome for my final destination. But first, I walked from Shin-Okubo towards Kabukicho, looking for a place to eat. In the midst of my search, I stumbled upon this place by chance. I took it as fate and entered. As soon as I sat down, a server with a twisted headband asked me, "How many orders of dumplings would you like for now?" before even asking about drinks, which surprised me. I ordered a small draft beer and one order of dumplings. I sipped on the small draft beer in a triangular glass while waiting for over 15 minutes for the dumplings to be ready. I wondered if this was the standard here. I had not eaten anything all day, so the wait felt even longer. Maybe I should have ordered a quick dish like mapo tofu or tofu from the speed menu. Finally, the dumplings arrived. When they were placed on the table, I was surprised by the pleasant smell of wheat flour. The wisdom displayed in the restaurant was not necessarily a lie. Upon tasting, the dumplings had a thick, chewy dough and a crispy surface, which was very nice. The filling was juicy and flavorful, so you may not need additional seasoning. They were not the type of dumplings you could eat a lot of. I may not come back often, but I won't rule out a return visit. However, it is not a top priority for revisiting.

I went to the collaboration menu between "Dandadan Sakaba" and "Amazing Niboshi Ramen Nagi" that is available for a limited time from February 1st. There are 3 collaboration menu items. First, the "Amazing Niboshi Water Dumplings" for 580 yen. The aroma of niboshi tickles your nose as soon as the dumplings arrive at the table. The soup has a strong niboshi flavor with a decent amount of spiciness. The thick skin of the dumplings is deliciously chewy. Next is the "Our Mapo Men" for 580 yen. It is served with tofu topped with niboshi powder, and has a strong niboshi flavor with just the right amount of spiciness. The noodles are thick and curly, providing a satisfying texture. Lastly, the "Ittan Men Sashi" for 480 yen, which I was most excited about. It is essentially like "sashimi noodles," where the wide noodles and beautiful presentation make you feel like you are eating sashimi. Dip the smooth noodles in the rich niboshi sauce and enjoy the unique experience. If you can only try one, I recommend the "Ittan Men Sashi"!

The combination of dumplings and beer is perfect✨ Behind the Shinjuku Ward Office in Shinjuku, there is a restaurant called "Niku Jyu Gyoza Seisakusho Dandan Sakaba Shinjuku" that specializes in dumplings. The dumplings here are made with whole wheat flour skin and carefully selected pork. When you bite into them, the amount of meat juice is amazing, it oozes out like xiao long bao✨ If you're going on a date here, be careful of the meat juice. The dumplings themselves are flavorful enough that you can enjoy them without dipping sauce✨

Located in Shinjuku, this lively establishment warmly welcomes guests as they enter from Yasukuni Street to Kabukicho Higashi Street. With no cover charge, it's easy to drop by at any time. While the main seating consists of tables, there are also spacious private rooms in the back. The restaurant also offers box seats, making it convenient for solo diners.
I cooled down with a Kanazawa-originated Houjicha highball. Despite the cold weather outside, the drink was refreshing and delicious. The unique roasted aroma and smoothness of the drink paired perfectly with the gyoza.
For starters, I tried the Cod Roe Potato Salad served on crispy gyoza skin crackers. The crunchy texture combined with the gentle cod roe flavor was delightful. As for the gyoza, I opted for the Juicy Pork Gyoza (6 pieces for 460 yen). The slightly thick skin, made with whole wheat flour, gave the gyoza a steamed and pan-fried texture. Filled with pork and minimal vegetables, the gyoza had a rich meaty flavor.
The gyoza, already seasoned, was delicious on its own but also paired well with vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil. Each gyoza was hand-wrapped, adding a personal touch. To finish off the meal, I had the rich and creamy Tan Tan Tsukemen with medium-thick noodles made from whole wheat flour. The dipping sauce was generously topped with minced meat, and adding chili oil halfway through enhanced the flavor.
With options like horse sashimi and Japanese sake available, this place is perfect for a lively gathering with friends. If you're a fan of juicy gyoza with thick skin, this place is a must-try!
