With only 10 seats, the cozy interior exudes a nostalgic charm that makes you forget you're in Kita-Shinchi. The Japanese dishes served here are all delicious and carefully prepared. The owner, Akane, serves a variety of dishes in this small space. It used to be called "Obanzai and sake Noblesse," but I didn't know that because I'm not from around here. When asked how I found out, I said it was in a local paper. They have an "Akane set" in the paper, so it might be a good starting point for newcomers. First up, the "lemon sour" (= ´∀´)ﾉ凵゛The "moist chicken ham" is thick but incredibly moist with a ponzu sauce that goes well with sake. The "homemade garlic gyoza" has a crispy surface and a juicy, garlicky filling that's full of flavor. The place is clearly loved by regulars, as it was packed even on a weekday.
