たこやきくん
In the stylish neighborhood of Minami-Horie in Osaka, there is a Napoli pizza restaurant called "That's PIZZA Minami-Horie Store". Although dining in is possible, due to various circumstances including the state of emergency, takeout is recommended. During lunchtime, you can get a mini salad for an additional 200 yen with your choice of pizza menu and a soft drink. I couldn't decide between Margherita and Quattro Formaggi half & half, but since it was my first time, I decided to go with the one with the restaurant's name on it. While waiting for my pizza to be baked, I took some photos inside the restaurant. The manager asked me where I was from, as if I wasn't from Osaka. I was a bit surprised and replied, "I'm from Osaka, why?" Inside my head, I thought, "But it's listed on Tabelog." I just laughed it off. I also took a picture of the oven. They use a wood-fired oven imported from Italy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. After a while, my pizza was ready. The car was filled with a delicious aroma. I also ordered 5 chicken nuggets for 400 yen and ate them in the car. They were freshly fried, so I couldn't resist taking a bite right away. The nuggets were slightly thicker and softer than fast food nuggets, with a burst of meat juice and flavor in every bite. Delicious! I happily whistled on my way home. THAT'S PIZZA cost 1,000 yen. It's an original pizza that can only be enjoyed at That's PIZZA. The combination of corn paste's subtle sweetness and the savory flavor of salami is excellent. Please also note the pop appearance inspired by That's PIZZA's logo. -Excerpt from the restaurant's website- I purchased it without knowing the ingredients. I had it for lunch at home. When I opened the box, it looked a bit flat. Maybe it's because it's been a while since it was made... I decided to quickly microwave it. I took a bite. Hmm, something seems different. The dough was chewy but hard, and a bit dry. I tried drizzling olive oil on it. Hmm, it still feels different... The sauce was made of corn paste, so it had a sweet and unfamiliar taste. I should have played it safe and ordered Margherita... But maybe if it was freshly baked, my opinion would have been different. If you're curious, give it a try. I might try the fried pizza next time if I'm nearby. The restaurant has three locations in Osaka - Fuse, Nakatsu, and Minami-Horie, so maybe the other locations are different.
