I went to an obanzai dining in Namba Sennichimae for a casual afternoon drink (*´˘`*)♡ I had dashimaki tamago, okra sesame salad, and 2 beers((o(｡>ω<｡)o)). There were so many obanzai dishes to choose from, all priced at around 500 yen, so it was very reasonable♡ I visited on a Sunday, so they had horse racing on TV((o(｡>ω<｡)o)). I found a great spot for a casual drink on a holiday afternoon in Namba Sennichimae♡ By the way, it's a smoking-friendly establishment. On my day off, I went to Namba for a daytime drink. I met up with my friends for lunch and we decided to just walk around and find a place to drink. We stumbled upon a place that looked like we could have a daytime drink, so we went in. The first place we went to was an "obanzai" restaurant, located about a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu or Subway Nipponbashi Station. There were tables outside where foreign tourists were enjoying their meals. We found seats at the counter inside and looked at the drink menu, which had beer, chu-hai, shochu, sake, and soft drinks all for 500 yen each. Whiskey like Hibiki and Hakushu were a bit more expensive. We ordered a beer and some obanzai dishes, all priced at 500 yen each. The saba miso-ni (mackerel simmered in miso) was flavorful and went well with the beer. The pork ginger stir-fry was tasty, cooked more like a stew than a stir-fry. We also had charcoal-grilled chicken skewers that were crispy and delicious, served with yuzu pepper. The braised pork was tender and melt-in-your-mouth. We finished off with another highball. The portions were small, making it perfect for a small group to enjoy a quick meal and drinks. The staff were friendly and we had a fun time drinking there.

Health enthusiasts are attracted to casual dining spots♪ I often find myself stopping by without a set destination, especially when I see outdoor seating in the cold. I decided to check out a place that was open in the chilly weather. They tried to seat me outside, but I declined (it was too cold). They then showed me indoor seating, but I was scolded for placing my belongings on a chair to take off my coat. To top it off, most of the main dishes on the menu were sold out (´TωT｀). Having limited options, I ended up only having some rape blossoms and cucumber pickles. In Osaka, there is a restaurant called "Obanzai Shokudo". They have a terrace where pets are allowed, and they also have a stove. Thank you! They offer dishes like oden and salmon marinated for only 500 yen each! Drinks are also 500 yen each. Soft drinks may seem a bit expensive. The food was delicious.

You can enjoy various side dishes for 500 yen (excluding tax). It's perfect for a quick bite before heading home. The doten (simmered beef and vegetables) has a unique taste similar to sake lees, which is delicious. The oden (Japanese hot pot) has a strong kick from the mustard, making it quite stimulating.

I waited quite a while from the time my seat reservation on Tabelog was confirmed until a table became available, as a group of foreigners were dining. The dishes seemed to be pre-made, and overall, the prices did not feel cheap.
