This week I had an early shift at work, so I decided to go out for drinks with my colleagues. We saw a sign outside a restaurant that said if we entered before 6pm, we could have all-you-can-drink for 980 yen! It was already past 5pm, so we hurried inside the izakaya called Manman in Sakaisuji Hommachi with three people. The restaurant was located on the second floor of a suspicious mixed-use building, and we nervously climbed the stairs to enter. Inside, there were a few table seats and sunken kotatsu-style seating. The three of us sat at a table and asked the handsome manager how long the all-you-can-drink would last, and he said 90 minutes. So we decided to go for the all-you-can-drink option! There were over 80 types of drinks available, all priced at 290 yen each. I wanted to start with a beer, but since my uric acid levels were a bit high, I opted for a chu-hi instead. The food menu was also extensive, with almost everything priced at 290 yen. We ordered the Dashimaki Tamago first, a large rolled omelette for 290 yen. It was a bit lacking in flavor, but still good. Next, we tried the Buta Kimchi for 290 yen, which was delicious with its sweet and spicy flavors. We also had the Mizuna and Duck Caesar Salad for 290 yen, which was refreshing and tasty. We continued with the Yakisoba for 290 yen, which had a hint of oyster sauce. We then ordered some shochu and enjoyed the Katakana Yaki for 290 yen, a combination of shoulder loin and breast meat. It was a perfect accompaniment to our drinks. We also tried the Chicken Cutlet with Demiglace Sauce for 290 yen, which was juicy and flavorful. We kept ordering more drinks, including plum wine, and tried dishes like Hokke, Ikafae, Surume Kimchi, and Potato Fries, all priced at 290 yen each. In the end, we had about 7 drinks each and enjoyed plenty of food. The total bill for the three of us was around 6,900 yen, which was quite affordable. The handsome manager was friendly and we had a great time. Thank you for the meal!
