Hidden gem sake counter bar "Oh! SAKE Are Sore" in Osaka. After dinner with friends, we wanted to have a few more drinks and found this place through Google search. No sign on the building, but we found it in a narrow alley with other eateries. The bar had a long counter, still new and cozy. We ordered a sake tasting set with interesting descriptions like "Wandering Ponytail" for Tominijin and "Rock, Paper, Scissors" for Watarifune. We also tried a delicious snack called Blue Cheese with Mascarpone. The owner recommended the sake for us and we had a great time chatting with him. The bar opened on January 25th and the name comes from the owner's habit of saying "that" or "this" a lot. They have a variety of whiskies and homemade melon syrup for sake sours. The owner, Yoshimura Takagami, draws the menu illustrations. They also plan to host tasting events for new sake brands. Despite the location being a bit hidden, the warm welcome and great atmosphere make it a lovely place to visit, especially for sake enthusiasts. They also offer courses and all-you-can-drink options with prior arrangements.
