I'll write about Torikizoku after a long time. After the state of emergency was lifted, it seems relatively less crowded, right? I was able to get in without waiting around 8 pm on a weekend night in mid-June. They have five limited-time dishes from around the country, but I wasn't really drawn to them. I had a few plates of Torikizoku Yaki and Chikarako Yaki, and some cabbage. I also had two chu-hi drinks. It cost less than 2000 yen per person. It's cheap. Compared to regular izakayas or yakiniku places, eating only chicken somehow feels less guilty (for my waistline) and cheap yakitori is nice. I actually like Torikizoku.

Having a meal at Torikizoku with my favorite people is the best! The potato salad at Torikizoku is incredibly delicious, especially with the nice accent of onions. The mix of grated yam with seaweed was also amazing. And when you eat the Camembert croquette and cabbage together, it's the perfect combination.

The grilled peach and grilled grated yam were delicious.

I often go to Torikizoku at various locations, but come to think of it, I haven't written a food review. Maybe it's because I don't take photos. Anyway, I always start with the Kizoku-yaki and the cabbage platter. I think the Kizoku-yaki is the most delicious and has a pretty good cost performance. I like both the breast and thigh meat. As for the other menu items besides the classics, I have the impression that there are few delicious ones, but this time the new menu item, Chikara-kobu, was delicious. It seems to be made by removing the meat from the wing bone, so it must take some effort.

Namba's Torikizoku in Osaka. This chain is always reliable - good service, cheap prices, and delicious food. The Namba branch was my first time, and it was clearly popular. The place was bustling. I started with a large glass of Kinmugi beer - 700ml is a great deal. Ordered the Torikizoku grilled chicken with sauce, edamame, and cabbage. That was already plenty of food. The beer filled me up. Thanks for the meal. It's hard to drink beer in the winter, isn't it?

The beef skewers were extremely delicious. We ordered about 16 items for 5000 yen for two people. The most surprising thing was that Kirin draft beer was only 299 yen! The only downside was that the restaurant was noisy and it was hard to hear each other. There was no bell to call the staff either. I wish the atmosphere could be improved to make it more inviting for everyone. Other than that, no complaints at all.

Currently, I contacted my friends and they said they can't make it. I'm tired of playing Dragon Quest all the time. I want to talk about Secret of Mana sometimes. Flamie!! Today, I went to Torikizoku Number Nishi store. It's a well-known chain restaurant that I occasionally visit. Even though it's a chain restaurant, the food is pretty good for the price. It's not super amazing, but it's better than going to a random place. I'm in a good mood today with the momo kizoku yaki and a draft beer. Flamie!! Thank you.

Tricky is perfect for hanging out with friends, chatting, drinking, and eating. The bill is surprisingly cheap when you go with a friend. We always order cabbage as a starter because it's a good way to get some veggies and you can get refills. Be careful with the Shandy Gaff because it's not a lot. They have many sour options which is great for women. The grated yam and grilled chicken were delicious. For yakitori, I recommend the simple salt chicken thigh and liver sauce. It tends to get crowded on Fridays and Saturdays, so be prepared to wait a bit.

I went to Torikizoku for the first time in a while. I truly felt the greatness of everything being 280 yen at the time of payment. I drank and ate as usual, feeling satisfactorily full, and spent a little over 2000 yen alone. Even with one out of four people hardly drinking, it is quite cheap. Some of the dishes that were quite delicious were: - Gobo sticks: I like them more than those at other izakayas. It was a great discovery today. - Fried chicken: The seasoning was strong, and the taste exceeded my expectations. On the other hand, some dishes were disappointing: - Spicy cucumber: Lately, many izakayas have delicious speed menu items like "addictive cucumbers", but the ones here were watery and tasteless. - Steamed chicken and okra: Another speed menu item. The sauce or whatever was lacking, and it was bland. Other skewers that I ordered (chicken tail, green onion, heart, etc.) were delicious. The only unusual dish I tried was "egg pho". It would have been better if the pho had more texture. It's a good dish to finish off with for a healthy option. Despite some slightly disappointing dishes, considering the consistency and overwhelming affordability, I felt like increasing my visits a bit more.

Since my student days, I've been a fan of Toriki! It's perfect for me, as I love birds. Plus, once you order cabbage, you can have unlimited refills. As a cabbage lover, this place is just right for me. Today, I ordered heart cabbage, chicken neck, Torikizoku chicken thigh, onigiri, and more. Even though I ate to my heart's content, the bill stayed under 2000 yen per person, which is wallet-friendly. The staff were lively and the service was speedy, which was really helpful. The only downside is that I wish they had a few more dessert options. Overall, I think it's a very reasonable izakaya.
