I ordered the 900 yen daily lunch set. The side dishes for the day were pork ginger stir-fry, grilled kiss fish, and chicken and daikon radish simmered dish. The small side dish was konjac, and the highlight was the huge miso soup bowl. The rice was also delicious. I resisted the temptation to get a second helping of rice. I paid quickly with PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

On a cold day, I saw a sign in the hallway for a beef cutlet set meal and decided to try it out. When I arrived at the restaurant, I couldn't find the beef cutlet set meal on the menu outside. I thought maybe they had sold out. However, when I asked inside, they said they did have it. It was late, so there weren't many people around. The place had a typical salaryman vibe. Soon, a set meal was served with a big bowl of miso soup. The beef cutlet was a bit tough and had a strong meaty smell. It came with two types of sauce: soy sauce sweet sesame oil and ponzu with grated radish. I decided to generously pour the sauce over the cutlet and dig in. The side dishes included curry black pepper pasta and a huge bowl of miso soup with daikon radish, bean sprouts, and enoki mushrooms. The rice was good. Overall, I may have chosen something that I'm not particularly good at ordering, but the daily specials might be worth trying. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Minami-Honmachi 3-chome in Chuo Ward, on the northeast corner of the intersection of Chuo Odori and Midosuji (Funaba Chuo 3), on the underground 2nd floor of Itubiru, is the restaurant "Sakuki Mattouya." For the last work lunch (on the 27th), I went with E-san. The lunch menu at this restaurant includes four options: Shell-on Oyster Fry Set (1000 yen), Daily Special Set (900 yen), Mixed Fry Set (900 yen), and Noodle Set (850 yen). We sat at a table and without hesitation, I ordered, "Oyster fry, please." My companion ordered the daily special which included shrimp fry, mapo tofu, and curry croquette. In just 8 minutes, our food was served. "Let's eat." Five large oyster fries from Akou were served on shells, freshly fried and piping hot. The batter was thick and crispy, and the oysters were deliciously juicy. Having both tartar sauce and Worcestershire sauce was appreciated. The miso soup with plenty of Chinese cabbage and a slightly curry-flavored spaghetti, along with pickles, were also served. You can get refills on rice, miso soup, and pickles. Just the oyster fry was enough to fill us up, so we ordered a small portion of rice. "Thank you for the meal."

I was amazed by the size of the miso soup bowl at this restaurant. I came with a handsome sales guy today to ask about his recent marriage hunting situation, which doesn't seem to be going well. Well, finding a partner is all about fate, so you just have to be patient. I ordered the 900 yen daily set meal, which included crab cream croquette, pork and cabbage stir-fry, and meatball with demi-glace sauce. There was also some pickles in a small dish. The main highlight was the huge bowl of miso soup, which even the sales guy was shocked by. It was so big that an iPhone SE could fit inside it vertically. The soup was full of ingredients and delicious, like a pork-free pork soup. The three main dishes were as tasty as I imagined. The rice was also delicious, a point that is unique to Japanese restaurants. I was too full to ask for a rice refill and paid easily with PayPay. Thanks for the meal.

This building directly connected to Honmachi Station houses several good restaurants. This casual Japanese restaurant has a counter with 6 seats and additional table seating, making it quite spacious. The kitchen is run by a cook and there are two staff members working in the dining area. The lunch menu offers three options ranging from 850 yen to 900 yen. I ordered the special large minced cutlet and oyster fry set for 900 yen. Today's mixed fry included these two items. I was surprised by something - not the size of the minced cutlet, but the size of the miso soup bowl. They used a huge bowl typically used for seafood bowls for the miso soup, resulting in an incredibly large portion. It was probably about three times the usual size. The freshly fried oysters and minced cutlet were delicious, crispy, juicy oysters and flavorful minced cutlet - they were really tasty. However, the best thing I had that day was something else. It was the rice - cooked to perfection! It must be a high-quality rice variety because it was just so delicious. Despite the temptation of "free refill of rice and soup," I resisted! I want to commend myself for overcoming this sweet temptation today. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant offers rare value for money. I enjoyed dishes like komatsuna ohitashi, hot sake, oden, and finally, the surprising deliciousness of the shrimp ramen. The clear soup with the aroma of shrimp and packed with flavor was of high quality. The price was 390 yen before tax. Thank you for the meal.

There are several "Ki Aji" restaurants in Honmachi and Yodoyabashi, and if you work around here, you may have had lunch there before. I was curious about a new restaurant opened by Ki Aji, so I stopped by as I had about an hour to spare until my plans for the second year. The interior of the restaurant had a counter and table seats, with a clean and calm atmosphere that made it easy for even one person to enter. I ordered Fugu skin with ponzu sauce, Nanohana Ohitashi, and Sesame Mackerel. The Fugu skin as an appetizer was a delightful surprise, and the seasonal Nanohana had a refreshing dashi flavor. The Sesame Mackerel, paired well with sake, was a light and elegant dish. I wished I had time for tempura or stick sushi, and even wanted another drink, but I had to resist as time was running out. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Thank you for the meal!

A new restaurant has opened in the dining district that you can reach without leaving Honmachi Station. I heard the daily special was sold out, so I ordered the Black Wagyu Harami Steak for 1200 yen. It came with salad, side dishes, pickles, and hot rice, along with a generous serving of miso soup. The steak was tender and delicious, with a variety of sauces to choose from like salt, soy sauce, and others. The onion sauce was sweet. I'm not sure about other customers as I was the only one there, but there was an ashtray, so smoking may be allowed.

Located directly connected to Honmachi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, this izakaya opened in 2019. It is a sister store to the izakaya "Kiaji" in the Honmachi area. The exterior gives off a traditional Japanese bar vibe. The interior, with a lot of wood used in its design, features counter seats facing the kitchen as well as table seats. I recommend trying the "gyukatsu set meal" for lunch. It comes with rice, a large bowl of miso soup, side dishes, salad, and pickles. The gyukatsu is delicious with good quality meat, although the portion size may be lacking. Overall, it is a conscientious restaurant that serves tasty food.
