My family had a 3,000 yen worth of shareholder benefits from SFP Holdings until November 30th. My mother owns stocks that have these benefits attached to them. She used to trade stocks frequently in the past, but after my father passed away, she just holds onto them. Among the stocks she owns is SFP Holdings, a company in the food service industry. At one point, they had many "Isomaru Suisan" outlets, and their stock price went up. Now they don't pay dividends and their stock price has dropped, so it feels like we're just holding onto them. However, since it's the smallest unit, maybe it's okay to just hold onto them. I used these benefits before going to Takatsuki. I went to the "Isomaru Suisan Shokudo," a restaurant that has changed its business model. Since I had to use up 3,000 yen by the end of the month, I ordered the most expensive set meal, the "eel set meal." I also had a lunchtime drink, "sweet potato shochu on the rocks," and a 100 yen appetizer. First, the sweet potato shochu on the rocks arrived. Then, the potato salad, cold tofu, and negitoro came one after another. While enjoying the appetizer, I waited for the main dish, the eel set meal. Having a drink with the appetizer makes the alcohol go down smoothly. When I checked the bill, it was a little short of 3,000 yen. I ordered another sweet potato shochu on the rocks without hesitation. As I drank it, the eel set meal arrived. It looked delicious. I like to sprinkle it with sansho pepper, but I also enjoy eating it with wasabi. This made the sweet potato shochu on the rocks go down even easier. In this way, I was able to spend 3,000 yen. I somehow felt like I understood Kitani's feelings (laughs). But the eel was delicious. When did it become such a luxury item that is out of reach?
