New combination bento box vote! Takeout bento box No.1 for March 2020! I was feeling a bit hungry so I ordered. I was participating in a vote for new combination bento boxes. The options were Chicken Nan Shogayaki Bento and Spicy Kalbi Yakiniku Bento. Both were quite flavorful! The commercial was funny, with Chicken Nan Shogayaki being represented by a small gift and Spicy Kalbi Yakiniku by a popular TV personality. Both seemed delicious. I voted for Chicken Nan Shogayaki, but wow, these are definitely bento boxes for the younger crowd! I felt my age while eating them, with all the messiness! It was tasty though. Thank you for the meal! (#^.^#)

1010 visits. One customer. Ordered the Pork Cutlet Bowl for ¥490 with extra rice for ¥50. Bought it as a lunch for visiting a grave. The weather was nice, the breeze was pleasant, so I ate outside! The cutlet was simmered, which I liked! Maybe because I got extra rice, the balance between the rice and the egg topping was off. If the sauce was a bit more, it would have been better... Next time, I'll try the new BIG Nori Bento. Thank you for the meal.

On the second day of the three-day weekend in February 2018, I had to work. My thoughtful subordinate suggested getting bento for me on the way home. I quickly checked the menu online and decided on the New BIG Nori Bento for 540 yen. It was huge and had tempura, croquette, white fish fry, fried chicken, and hamburger. The seaweed was also big! All of this for 540 yen was impressive. The miso soup had clams in it. It was delicious! Thank you for the feast!

Hello October! Today I want to introduce "Hotto Motto," a takeout bento shop that offers a variety of services including online reservations. During lunchtime, you can find freshly made bento boxes lined up in the hot showcase, and you can simply take one to the counter to pay and purchase. They also have a daily special bento for 500 yen. Hotto Motto usually makes the bento after receiving the order, but for those who are in a hurry, they offer a convenient online pre-order service. Unlike convenience stores, their bento boxes are warm and delicious. They also offer a discounted pork miso soup for as low as 100 yen. It was a tasty meal! Thank you!

Hotto Motto Tokushima Tamakushi Store
Theme: ♪ Restaurant
Located at 2-2-8 Nishi, Tamakushi-cho, Higashi-Osaka City, Hotto Motto Tokushima Tamakushi Store is a spacious restaurant with a large parking lot. I visited during lunchtime on a weekday and couldn't resist the lunch special. I bought a Nori Bento, which I had previously enjoyed at the Hotto Motto Sagisu 3-chome store. The packaging was smaller than the bento box, and I could see the sauce being poured. The bag had the name "Hotto Motto" on it, different from Sapporo Beverage. Next up, I will be attending the 3rd Fukushima District Council Meeting.

Usually priced at 490 yen, the new Chicken Nanban bento is on sale for a limited time from December 1st to December 9th (Sunday) for 390 yen. This is a takeout bento specialty store. The contents of the bento include Chicken Nanban, salad, spaghetti, takana (pickled mustard leaves), dressing, and sweet vinegar sauce. The Chicken Nanban was quite tender and delicious when served hot. If you opt for no rice, it will be 100 yen cheaper. The store offers various bento options such as Nori Bento for 320 yen, Nori Tartar Bento for 340 yen, Special Nori Tartar Bento for 420 yen, and more.

I stopped by to buy a bento box. I was hesitating on what to order while looking at the menu outside the store. When I entered the store, I saw a promising Chinese dish on the menu. It was a "Sichuan Mapo Tofu & Yulin Chicken Bento Box," a limited menu item at this store. I was in the mood for something sweet and spicy, so I decided right away. The store had a mix of dine-in customers, delivery orders, and customers picking up online orders, causing a backlog of orders. After waiting for a while, I got my bento box and went home excitedly. The Yulin Chicken had a strong acidic sauce, which was quite stimulating. Although it may not be authentic, it had a nice kick to it. The Sichuan Mapo Tofu seemed to lack some "ma" (numbing sensation), but the flavor was quite authentic with the use of doubanjiang (broad bean chili paste). My only complaint is that the seasoning of both dishes was strong, and the default amount of rice was not enough. There was a sense of disappointment when the side dishes had more volume than the rice. It would be better if the rice portion could be adjusted, or you could add more rice from home. Overall, I was satisfied with the taste.

- Karaage Bento (4 pieces) for 390 yen
In June 2019, the karaage (fried chicken) in this simple bento was slightly smaller in size. The karaage had a soy-based seasoning with a good flavor that included garlic and ginger. The coating had a slightly firm texture. The chicken was of thigh meat quality with a good texture. It had a simple taste that paired well with the rice.
▼Impressions▼
In June 2019, I tried the karaage bento at this bento chain that was established after Plenus, the largest franchise company of Hokka Hokka Tei, became independent due to a family dispute. It is currently the largest bento chain in Japan and actively develops new menu items, sales, and various initiatives. The Tamakushi store in Higashi Osaka is located along Prefectural Route 24 near Tamai intersection. The karaage bento I tried had a simple yet decent taste. It left a good impression as the karaage was freshly fried, unlike some places that serve pre-fried items. I would like to visit again in the future.

Visited on Sunday at 10:45 am. Ordered the Tsukune (chicken meatballs) bento box for 530 yen. The takeout option for visiting the grave is intriguing. The bento box was filled with plenty of chicken meat, delicious sauce, and nicely cooked green onions. The onsen tamago (soft-boiled egg) was excellent. This bento box is worth more than its price. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!
