In February 2023, I wanted to try out Torikizoku, a popular izakaya chain, with my friends for the first time. We made a reservation for 6:00 pm and were seated at a table. The place was bustling and almost full, creating a lively atmosphere. With everything priced at 350 yen, we were able to order a variety of dishes without worrying about the cost. This time, the three of us ordered the following: - Strong lemon sour - Orange chu-hai with fruit pulp - Cucumber with salted sauce - Super! White onion with salted kelp - Grilled chicken thigh with sauce - Grilled chicken thigh with salt - Grilled chicken thigh with spices - Sand liver - Salted chicken wings - Grilled chicken liver with salt and sesame oil - Stuffed bell peppers with ponzu sauce - Torikizoku fried chicken - Fluffy grilled yam - Hokkaido sea and land potato salad - Grilled chicken breast with salt - Chicken meatball with sauce - Torikizoku style chicken ramen Grilled chicken thigh with sauce and grilled chicken breast were both delicious, but I think I preferred the thigh. The chicken wings, sand liver, and the chicken ramen at the end were also very tasty. It was a great meal!

I didn't go because the state of emergency was lifted, but because my shareholder benefit voucher expires in March, I made a reservation on Hot Pepper and went. It's quite crowded here... I sat at the counter and ordered a lemon squash, 5 types of domestically made cream croquettes, chicken skin chips, grilled salted chicken breast, and chicken porridge. The lemon squash is okay... the cream croquettes are quite delicious... I don't even need the sauce! I hope it becomes a regular menu item! The chips are a bit oily... the grilled chicken breast is consistently delicious... and the chicken porridge is okay. I used a shareholder benefit voucher worth 1,000 yen and paid the remaining 635 yen with PayPay.

On Saturday nights, I often use this restaurant when I come back home and want to work on my materials while having dinner. Since it's a large restaurant, I can use a spacious table without feeling awkward, which is great for placing my laptop. I usually order the limited-time miso-grilled chicken harami and the Yufu-style simmered bonjiri as appetizers, and fuel up with beer. This helps me get my work done efficiently. Unlike before, smoking is now allowed only in the designated smoking area, so the air is not as bad. It's really helpful.

From the south of Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street in Minamimorimachi, there is a Torikizoku with a sign on the first floor of a building, and the entrance to the store is up the stairs. When you enter the store, you can see that it is quite crowded, even though it wasn't apparent from the outside. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter. The seats are somewhat spaced out from the next, but there are no partitions, which made me a little uneasy given the current situation. I ordered a beer and yakitori. I tried the popular Kizoku-yaki with spices, as well as pork belly skewers, Torikizoku's fried chicken, and their famous Kinmugi Mega beer. It's only 298 yen, so it's not much different from buying a can to drink at home, right? I had a little to eat and drink, and the bill was just under 2000 yen. I haven't been here much lately, but if I have the chance, I would like to visit again.

After finishing work, a group of young colleagues decided to have dinner together, with a specific request for "yakitori" and even specifying "Toriki". They searched for the nearest "Toriki" on Tabelog and ended up visiting the Torikizoku branch in Tenjinbashi 3-chome. The restaurant was bustling with customers. They started with Tori-bi and each ordered their favorite drinks for a toast. The dishes chosen by the young colleagues included chilled tomatoes, grilled chicken thigh with salt ponzu sauce, various types of yakitori, and Chinese dishes. The grilled chicken thigh had a firm texture and rich flavor, complemented by the salt ponzu sauce. Everyone enjoyed their skewers with smiles on their faces. The restaurant's focus on using domestic chicken and other ingredients, as well as their commitment to maintaining the same price for most items, was impressive. Despite the change from the previous uniform price of 280 yen, the current price of 298 yen per dish (excluding tax) reflects the company's unwavering efforts. They were pleasantly surprised by the delicious dishes and appreciated the high cost performance. The change from traditional Japanese condiment containers to tabletop versions was also noted with amusement.

It was a cheap izakaya with everything priced at 298 yen. I expected too much.

Head towards this place located around halfway between Senmachi Station and Minamimori Station. The shop is on the second floor, so it's a bit inconspicuous. Start with a draft beer. Next, order the "Momo Kizoku Yaki" (grilled chicken thigh), "Nankotsu Karaage" (deep-fried chicken cartilage), and "Chicken Tofu." Now, let's dig in! The Momo Kizoku Yaki has a consistent, delicious taste. The size is also good. On the other hand, the Nankotsu Karaage is a bit lacking in quantity. The new menu item, Chicken Tofu, was piping hot and had good ingredients. It was a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! Prices have increased for all items since October 2017, but it's still affordable.

I regularly go to Torikizoku. The Pink Grapefruit Sour is so easy to drink, I could probably have 100 cups of it haha. It's like a juice with fruit pulp in it. And for only 280 yen, it's really cheap. Another great thing is that the menu changes regularly, which keeps me coming back. The atmosphere in this store is always lively and full of voices. By the way, I think they should upgrade their uniforms to something cooler. Anyway, I ordered a new menu item. When it comes to budget izakayas, Torikizoku is the best. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I met up with my senior colleague at Tenjinbashi and we went to Torikizoku for drinks. As many of you may know, this restaurant offers all items at the same price. The portions are generous and satisfying, making it popular among people of all ages. We started with a large glass of Kinmugi beer and cheers! We enjoyed dishes like Korean-style tofu, chicken breast, chicken thigh, chicken cartilage, and pickled eggplant as we drank. The new item, Hormone Negi Ponzu, was okay. My senior colleague switched to lemon sour, so I followed suit. This location is quieter compared to the ones in Amerikamura and Shinsaibashi, which I find nice. Perhaps a lively atmosphere is more common in places with a younger crowd? Although we didn't have any deep conversations, I think this level of calmness is where I feel comfortable. Ah, we drank a lot! Thank you for the meal!

[Sun, June 09, 2013] Bird Nobility Temma Bridge 3-chome Store Theme: ♪ Restaurant The next place I visited after the 14th Tenma Music Festival Executive Committee June Meeting was the Bird Nobility Temma Bridge 3-chome Store located at 3-3-19 Tenjimbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka. I sat at the counter where I could see the tables being grilled inside the store. I started with a toast with beer, then tried the Amune Kizoku Yaki with salt. Next, I had two servings of salted chicken wings. For my second drink, I had a highball. I also tried the Dororo Yaki and the Momokizoku Yaki with sauce. It was my first time at Bird Nobility and I enjoyed the food.

The large yellow sign in Tenjinbashi 3-chome is the landmark of Torikizoku! With all items priced at 280 yen, it is quite affordable, but the volume of yakitori is unmatched. I first visited Torikizoku three years ago. Despite always seeing the yellow sign, I never had the chance to go in. The thing that surprised me the most was the volume of the yakitori! I ordered something normal, but I was amazed by the portion size after just one dish! The tsukune, which I always eat at yakitori restaurants, also had a satisfying volume! Although I usually prefer sauce, the salt-grilled yakitori is also incredibly delicious (^o^) Torikizoku has many locations nationwide, but if you're going, you should go to the one in Tenjinbashi 3-chome!

I walked around the Umeda area and visited a Torikizoku near HEP. There are many popular shops in this area, so it was quite crowded. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was a bit dark. I only had two Kirin beers and left after 20 minutes without eating anything. It was nice that there was no table charge, and the total cost was around 1200 yen. Torikizoku is a good option for salarymen. See you again soon!

Torikizoku, the pioneer of the budget izakaya chain, can now be found everywhere. I visited the store in Tenjinbashi 3-chome. You can't go up without taking the stairs to the 2nd floor of the building. The interior is long and quite spacious. The beer comes in medium and large sizes, with the large being draft beer. While the yakitori is slightly expensive at 280 yen for 2 skewers, the portion size makes it worth it. There is also a decent selection of other dishes. The pricing is friendly for those who enjoy drinking. The interior has a nice woody design, but it can be noisy due to the large number of young people (when I went, there was a group of what seemed like college students making a lot of noise). Among the nearby budget izakaya chains, I think this one is the best.

I was avoiding it, thinking "nothing good will come out for 280 yen for everything." However, since there were few other open shops around and my companion highly recommended it, I decided to give it a try. The draft beer was Asahi Super Dry and came in a regular-sized glass for only 280 yen, which was a pleasant surprise! For the second round, I ordered a premium beer and it came in a large glass! The pricing for beer seems to be like that of a standing bar. However, according to my companion, the cocktails and other drinks are quite weak. As for the yakitori, I initially thought 280 yen for 2 sticks wasn't cheap, but I was surprised by the volume! The taste was not bad either. The salad, cold tofu, and grated yam dishes were okay. The grilled rice ball was delicious. Even after drinking quite a bit and eating to our fill, we didn't even spend 4000 yen between the two of us. The taste is quite good compared to other cheap eateries, and it's recommended for enjoying affordable drinks.
