I had planned to visit some restaurants around Tenjinbashi Shopping Street, but they were not open yet. So I found this place which was open early and decided to have chicken nanban, grilled liver, and a bottle of beer. The chicken nanban was surprisingly filling even though I ordered a half portion, and it was delicious! It was cheap but really good! The grilled liver went well with the beer and I even wanted to take some home to eat later because it looked like it would still taste great even when cold.

In November 2022, I visited "Jidoritei" in Minamimori-cho with my friends. It's a place I used to frequent before starting my food blog, but I hadn't been there in a while, so it was a long-awaited visit. Jidoritei seems to have its roots in a yakitori restaurant in Miyakonojo, and their first store in Kansai will be in Sakai East (according to their website). We made a reservation for 7:00 pm and were seated at a table (the restaurant was almost full that day, with some group customers). We ordered the following items (excluding tax): - Cucumber pickles 680 yen - Chicken thigh skewers 880 yen - Chicken tenderloin skewers 880 yen - Chicken cartilage skewers 500 yen - Chicken nanban fry (4 pieces) 880 yen - Addictive chicken wings (salt) 480 yen - Yakisoba (sauce) 580 yen - Hakata highball 480 yen - Kodama Bites sour (shiso plum) 380 yen - Tomato chu-hi 380 yen My personal favorite was the chicken nanban fry, with generous portions and juicy meat with tasty tartar sauce (maybe because of its Miyazaki roots?). The chicken thigh skewers and tenderloin skewers were also delicious, with a great charcoal flavor. Although I didn't have it this time, I have fond memories of the "burdock tempura" that I often ordered at a different branch. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the delicious food!

I revisited Jidori-Tei, a restaurant I used to go to during my student days, and enjoyed the nostalgic flavors. The Chicken Nanban and Tataki Cucumber made me feel so happy! They were truly delicious! I was also completely satisfied with the other dishes. And the price was very satisfying as well! The cost performance is excellent. I will definitely be using this restaurant more often in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

During a business trip to Osaka, I was taken to this restaurant by some members of the branch. It seems to be a popular spot among company members since it's located near the office. I later found out that there is a similar restaurant in the Kanda area of Tokyo, part of a chain. The members usually order a la carte items instead of going for the set menu. Some of them even have their own bottles kept there. The cabbage appetizer is all-you-can-eat. A must-try dish is the grilled chicken neck with leeks. The meat is very tender and quite delicious. It goes well with alcohol. Another popular dish is the chicken nanban fry, topped with a generous amount of tartar sauce. It's a high-calorie dish but definitely worth trying as it's a specialty of the restaurant and very tasty. It disappeared in no time, we all enjoyed it!

If you are having a party with friends in Minamimorimachi, it is a must-visit place, "Jidori-tei Minamimorimachi store." This time, we had a meal with four people, and as usual, we enjoyed Aichi's famous sake "Kuhei-ji" served warm. Thank you for the meal. ☆ February 2015 I used this place, "Jidori-tei Minamimorimachi store," for a New Year's party with friends. This is a favorite place for my friends, so when we drink in Minamimorimachi, we often come here. On this day, we had tataki with the Japanese sake "Dassai." It is a chain store, but they serve good sake. I ended up drinking too much again, and the bill was about 7,000 yen per person. However, this time, I used a coupon, so it was a bit cheaper. ☆ January 2015 I came to Minamimorimachi. This is a city with memories of working for 11 years in the past. I made a promise to drink with a friend I met at my previous workplace and still have a relationship with at "Jidori-tei Minamimorimachi store." He will soon celebrate his 20th year in the company since joining as a new graduate, and I feel the passage of time. When my friend arrived about 10 minutes late, I asked why they didn't make a reservation, and they said, "If you make a reservation, you will be cut off in 2 hours and won't be able to drink slowly. These three dishes are so delicious that they cannot be missed. The draft beer was recommended by the staff as it was on a campaign, so I had it EXTRA COLD. At first, we talked about work, then about family, and then about hobbies. He turned his hobby into a business, and now he is so famous in Europe in that industry. As the conversation became more lively, the alcohol also flowed. Watching him talk happily, I also felt happy, but before I knew it, we had 9 glasses of draft beer, shirakara carafe 1,166 yen, 2 mini bottles of white wine 2,160 yen, and additional snacks "Umauma Tebasaki 518 yen" and edamame 410 yen. When we paid the bill, it was 12,000 yen, so it was 6,000 yen per person. Oh, wait, I just noticed there's a 10% off coupon at the top right! It was supposed to be 1,000 yen cheaper, but I just realized it now. He is a lover of alcohol, so I drank Ukon before drinking, but I didn't check the coupon. Coupons should be checked before drinking. ^^;

I used this place for a year-end drinking party. This type of restaurant has reasonable party courses, so it is easy to use. The floor for large groups has a slight wall in between, so there is some separation, but it is sufficient for parties of around 10-20 people. There are sunken kotatsu tables. The menu is mainly chicken dishes, but the charcoal-grilled chicken, similar to Miyazaki-style yakitori, was delicious. Other dishes like salad and meat tartare were just okay. It is also conveniently located near Minami-Morimachi Station, making it suitable for casual drinking and parties.

We rented out the back floor for about 40 people. The phone reservation and the visit to check out the place beforehand were very positive, but the service on the day was disappointing. With many drinkers, the beer pitchers were rotating quickly. However, the number of pitchers brought to the tables was clearly less than requested, and some tables were left without drinks. The staff were chatting amongst themselves and not bringing drinks. When we asked for more, we were warned about potential extra charges for unfinished drinks. Despite this, the food such as grilled chicken and chicken nanban was delicious. It might be a good place for a small group, but not for a large party.

I went for the first time with a friend. The appearance and interior were typical of a chain restaurant, with a feeling of a yakitori izakaya. I was worried about the taste since it was a chain restaurant, but the chicken dishes were quite ordinary. It seemed like they were trying hard for the price, but it was disappointing as the seasoning was made to appeal to the general public as expected. However, I felt that it would be a good place to have a casual drink with friends while looking at the table next to us.

I had been wanting to go to "Jidori-tei" for a while. Today, after the Tenjin Festival, I finally went. I ordered various dishes, but the shock of the "negima" that was brought to me was too big, and it was hard to recover. Maybe it's because I'm a big eater. Both the cook and the server should have seen the dish. Yet they served it to the customer without any hesitation? It was so burnt that I could only eat a small piece from the side (laughs). When I asked the server, "Is this correct?" they said they would check. If it's correct, then there's nothing to be done, but I couldn't eat it. I couldn't help but wonder if it really needed to be checked. Would I be able to eat it if it were me? Many things crossed my mind, but I got a normal "negima" after they reheated it. They should have just served it right the first time. Although it may sound like a complaint, I hope this feedback reaches the restaurant. It's hard to go back to feeling normal after being disappointed!!
