When you feel like having a quick sweet treat, the stand bar is convenient. There was a poster of musk melon, but next to it was a sign for Japanese pear, and any size is only 500 yen!! So, I went for the pear! Of course, I got the largest size. My companion struggled to choose and finally went for the limited edition peach at Shinjuku Lumine. When I asked the staff, they said it will be ending soon, so luckily we were able to order it. The pear and peach are made fresh now, so we waited in front of the juicer. The pear was okay, but the scent of the peach reached us before it was even made. Cheers when we got both. Pear! Peach! The first sip was like eating fresh fruit. It's cold and delicious because they crush the ice together. (Do you ever get a drink with lukewarm liquid and ice inside?) If they added vodka to this... it would surely be amazing. I want to try the musk melon next time, but it's 1,000 yen. Thank you for the meal.

When it was first released, it sold explosively and there was always a long line. I also bought too much until I got tired of it. I have fond memories of how delicious it was. I suddenly felt like eating it again and made an impulse purchase. Inside the moist bread is melon cream. I was relieved by the quality that is unique to Takano.

I received a souvenir from Takano Fruit Parlor, a cake. The person who brought it as a gift said there is a cake that costs 1,500 yen in here, so please enjoy it. It was quite expensive but incredibly delicious. The shortcake was also delicious, especially the whipped cream. I highly recommend it as a souvenir. It made me feel very happy. Visited this shop located right outside the East exit ticket gates of JR Shinjuku Station. This time, I got the Miyazaki Mango Tart for 1,080 yen and the petit Merci for 918 yen to go. The Miyazaki Mango Tart is a tart cup filled with sponge cake and custard cream, topped with Miyazaki mango, which was sweet and delicious. The petit Merci is a shortcake with melon-flavored sponge cake, whipped cream, and two slices of melon on top, also sweet and tasty. Both are limited-time items, so I'm glad I got to try them. It's been a while since I had a whole cake. Eating a whole cake in one sitting is a dream, but now that I'm older and prone to indigestion, it may never come true. However, there's something about a whole cake that gets me excited - especially Takano's! The fruit toppings are abundant, the cream is rich in dairy fat, and the sponge is dense with less air. The strawberry mousse on top has a nice tanginess that doesn't make it too sweet. The strawberry cream also has a strong strawberry flavor.

In front of the JR East exit at Shinjuku Station, I bought a mask melon smoothie from Takano-san. The fruit shop's smoothie was incredibly juicy and luxurious. They also sell a variety of cakes, including whole cakes with a wide selection.

I purchased fruit bread at "Shinjuku Takano" in Shinjuku. The store is located outside the JR East exit gates. Although the main store is nearby, it seems to be set up to prevent customers from missing it. I bought Creamy Melon for 300 yen, Cream Dried Melon for 240 yen, Creamed Mango for 260 yen, and Creamed Peach for 300 yen. The skin on the surface doesn't have much flavor, but the cream inside has a fruity taste with bits of fruit flesh, which sets it apart from regular melon bread.

This is a gift I received. It's a pack of 5 fruit-shaped sablé cookies. There are 2 strawberry ones included. They have a subtle fruit flavor and a crispy texture.

Visit on February 26, 2022: Located in front of the JR Shinjuku Central East Exit ticket gate. This time, I purchased the Hina Haru Strawberry Shortcake and Petit Happiness ~Citrus~. The Hina Haru Strawberry Shortcake has strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate decorations on the top layer. The middle and lower layers consist of whipped cream, strawberries, and strawberry-flavored sponge cake. The Petit Happiness ~Citrus~ has multiple citrus fruits on the top layer, with sponge cake, whipped cream, and plenty of citrus fruits in the middle and lower layers.

In Shinjuku Takano where you can feel the seasonal atmosphere, there are plenty of fresh fruits. Unlike when I used to go to the market to buy fruits, nowadays I rarely get to enjoy them. I usually only have a banana for breakfast. While cutting back on coffee, I took a break and decided to indulge in some sweets. I usually prefer traditional Japanese sweets over cream cakes, so I was planning to pass by this Takano shop in front of the JR ticket gate. What caught my eye was the banana. Without hesitation, I made a detour to buy and drink it. Banana Milkshake S 340 yen I've bought the "Ripe King" bananas at the supermarket before, but I usually make juice out of them. This banana milkshake has a higher milk ratio, with less of the typical banana taste. It's a milk-forward drink that is refreshing and easy to enjoy. ⭐️ I have to be careful about dehydration due to medication, so it is important to stay hydrated. I purchased the Petit Happiness Mango and Fruit-Rich Fruit Royale, which went on sale in April, to enjoy as a snack at the hotel. The mango is plentiful and has a melting sweetness. Strictly speaking, it is on the basement floor 1 of Lumine Est. While they also offer cakes, about half of the store has a juice bar vibe. In the past, there used to be a juice bar from Takano at the Plaza building basement in Tobu Ikebukuro, but it is no longer there. I have some nostalgic feelings about that. For now, I use this place in Shinjuku. I ordered a "Banana Milk (S)" (300 yen) as shown in the picture. Banana juice seems to be popular lately, and when I go to those trendy places, I don't feel very comfortable. However, I have been using juice bars in the city for a long time, and among the various options, I also enjoy banana juice. It is made with Takano's discerning fully ripe king bananas. It's delicious. That's all. This shop has a narrow counter where you can sit and enjoy your drink.

I felt like having some fruit desserts and found this place near Shinjuku Station's ticket gates, which is super convenient! What's great about Takano is that not only the fruits but also the cream and dough are delicious. When I ordered a birthday cake separately, it was cute and tasty too. They have been working hard for a long time in a convenient location to satisfy everyone's sweet cravings. This time, the lady became pregnant. She didn't know morning sickness could be so difficult! She complains daily about feeling nauseous like motion sickness from morning to night. She can't do anything even if she asks for help. She has to figure it out herself. One day, on the way back from the hospital, she went into Takano's Parfaiteria and tried the Okayama Peach Parfait. What a refreshing feeling! She forgot about the discomfort and felt great! This week, she decided to try juices. She recently ordered blueberry yogurt, but her body couldn't handle the acidity even though she used to drink it. She's been eating too many sour things, so her body and tongue are tired of acidity. This time, she tried banana milk to balance the acidity with sweetness. Let's eat. Wow, delicious! High-quality bananas are melting in the milk. It's like fresh banana juice. The sweetness is not overwhelming. Ah, I feel saved today too!

A cake with lots of fruits on top of a roll cake! And then there's strawberry shortcake. Everyone loves it, right? Yeah, it's definitely a favorite flavor. Today is New Year's Day. I bought 4 cakes for a party with my friends. There was only one cow cake left, so I decided to buy it since it's the zodiac sign for this year. The fruit was delicious, but nothing special. For some reason, even though I know it's just average, I feel like going back to this shop.

I reserved a Christmas cake. [Purchased item] This year, I got the limited edition peach and strawberry entremet for ¥7560 including tax. It has large strawberries on top and peaches inside! I love peaches, so I chose this cake this year. The whipped cream is fluffy! It's best to eat it early! I made the reservation in mid-November. I paid by mid-December, and on the day, it wasn't too crowded, probably because it was a late time on the 23rd. A luxury that can be counted on one hand throughout the year.
