I stayed for one night and had breakfast. The buffet had visually appealing and delicious dishes, such as waffles with salmon and rice bowls. There were also kids' sets available, but you don't necessarily need to order them.

On the first day of my trip to Hokkaido, after having an early dinner of Genghis Khan, I returned to my accommodation and ordered a parfait as a dessert. The parfait, made with strawberries and fresh cream, was served promptly at 8 p.m. It was a delightful treat with strawberry ice cream, yogurt ice cream, strawberry jam, sponge cake, and cream. The cotton candy on top looked like fluffy clouds! It was a cute and delicious parfait that the children enjoyed eating. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the hotel for breakfast. I went at 7 o'clock and had to wait for about 20 minutes. They had a buffet style breakfast with mini roast beef bowls, mini tuna bowls, and more. The fruit water was also delicious. It was a stylish breakfast.

After a quite unsatisfactory dinner, let's go for a "shime parfait" originating from Sapporo. I visited the lounge on the 1st floor of OMO7 Asahikawa. There are two types of parfaits available: one for one person for 1,000 yen and another for 2-3 people for 3,000 yen. Since we wanted to try both, we ordered one 3,000 yen parfait and three 1,000 yen parfaits to share. The parfaits were artistic and photogenic. The glass was filled with plenty of strawberries and cream, resembling a shortcake. On top, there was a perfectly round white cotton candy. Not only did it look appealing, but it also tasted delicious. Despite visiting late at night, the staff members were very polite and attentive. Thank you to the staff for their great service.

I stayed at Hoshino Resort OMO7 in Asahikawa and enjoyed the breakfast buffet! You can also try Hokkaido's unique dishes here! By the way, this Hoshino Resort is famous for its sauna. It has high humidity, a relaxing rotenburo, and a refreshing cold bath... You should definitely visit in the morning and evening! Start your day with a sauna, then head to the buffet! The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including both Japanese and Western dishes. Japanese dishes include pickles, simmered dishes, sardines, and sunny-side-up eggs. Western dishes include bacon, ham, fresh salads with lettuce and turnips, and bread... A perfect lineup! Two popular items at OMO7 in Asahikawa are:
- Salmon Waffle
- Tuna and Wasabi Rice Bowl
These two are the highlights! The Salmon Waffle combines crispy and fluffy waffles with salty salmon and rich special cream. The Tuna and Wasabi Rice Bowl combines tuna sashimi with the refreshing spiciness of wasabi, perfect for breakfast! Don't forget to try the sauna! Recommended for those who:
✅ Plan to stay at Hoshino Resort OMO7
✅ Love parfaits

Hoshino Resort seems like they renovated a business hotel into a resort with a lot of effort. The entrance, front desk, and lobby are beautifully renovated, but the rooms are disappointing and not very relaxing. The breakfast buffet is stylish and well-presented, with unique dishes like wasabi roast beef bowl and salmon waffle. The staff at the breakfast venue provided excellent customer service. Overall, the breakfast experience was fantastic, but whether I would stay here again is another question. The hospitality at the breakfast venue was impressive. Recommended!

Looking back, the breakfast here was really delicious. Despite being reasonable, there are several points that make it feel like a Hoshino Resort. First of all, the breakfast venue is glamorous. The presentation of each dish is beautiful, and even the wallpaper and shelves are designed with a sense of excitement, like eating at a Disney theme park. Secondly, the high motivation of the employees stands out. Young and energetic individuals work lively from early morning. They don't just act as hotel staff, but more like theme park cast members. Each of them thinks about how to make guests truly satisfied and takes action on their own. I really want to learn how they can provide such training for their staff. Their greetings are pleasant, and their smiles are lovely. And if the food is delicious, that's all you need. The roast beef bowl with mountain wasabi topping was amazing! The thickly cut luxurious meat is tender and flavorful. The scent of shiso leaves adds a nice touch, while the gentle spiciness of mountain wasabi stimulates the nostrils. It's so delicious that I had three servings. There are other dishes as well, but I'll show them in photos. Thank you for the meal. Thank you for your hospitality!

At this cafe, you can enjoy soft serve ice cream with Hokkaido flavors for 220 yen. They offer unique flavors like wine, ground cherry, and sunflower, but I chose the mint flavor because it's hot. The ice cream is served on a wooden board shaped like Hokkaido, making for a great Instagram photo opportunity. The taste is delicious, and the lounge where you can enjoy drinks like coffee and fruit tea is very elegant. The shared items are coated with a nanocoating that sterilizes them, so disinfection is not necessary. The hotel also has a sauna underground, where you can do water walking in lukewarm water. Breakfast is served at the cafe as well, with a mix of Japanese and Western options. The main Western dish is salmon cheese waffles, while the dessert waffles include banana and berry, and chocolate with cream. The main Japanese dish is roast beef bowl with plenty of fresh wasabi. The hotel provides alcohol in the elevator halls and complimentary water and sparkling water in the room fridge. Overall, it's a great hotel with thoughtful services, although standard rooms are a bit small for couples.

There is a café on the 1st floor of the Omo7. Guests can enjoy coffee, drinks, cookies, and even order meals to enjoy in the free lounge area. I tried the parfait that I had been curious about for a while. The large cotton candy is adorned with flower petals and sparkling sprinkles. The parfait includes strawberry and yogurt ice cream, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, sponge cake, almond tofu, strawberry sauce, and a smooth and melty shortcake flavor. Eating it with the cotton candy creates a fizzy sensation. This is a 1000 yen parfait for one person, but there is also a 3000 yen option for 2-3 people. Even the single serving is quite generous and satisfying! They are currently having a limited-time fair where you can try soft serve ice creams from various regions in Hokkaido!

Asahikawa Omo breakfast buffet, three meals from morning to night, lounge open from lunch to dinner. Breakfast is from 7 am on weekdays, and 6:30 am on holidays and Golden Week. Recommended dishes include roast beef bowl and salmon waffle. The roast beef bowl can be served without wasabi, and the waffle is made with fresh salmon and sometimes dessert. Stylish bread options include strawberry Danish and peach pie. The corn soup is rich and creamy, with a milky flavor. Authentic Japanese side dishes like simmered vegetables and seaweed are also available. Breakfast includes apples and yogurt with fruit toppings for gut health. Coffee is self-serve, with options like orange, apple, and milk in the morning. The lounge from midday offers freshly ground coffee from beans and flavor teas like yuzu honey. Unlimited cookies are available, along with games like curling and Othello. Alcohol is not currently served.

On the first day of the Hokkaido tour, the hotel was "Hoshino Resort OMO7 Asahikawa". Although it was a stylish business hotel, my companion was dissatisfied with the room, which had two beds crammed into a single space. However, their mood improved instantly upon entering the breakfast venue. The breakfast area was bright, clean, and had a wide variety of menu options. I particularly enjoyed the waffles, topped with three delicious jams. I was able to leave a little room in my stomach, so I indulged in three desserts. There was a sign on the table saying, "In our restaurant, items that are touched by multiple guests, such as buffet boards and tongs, are coated with a medical nano-coating to neutralize viruses." I thought this attention to detail reflected the "Hoshino quality".

I stayed at OMO Seven and used their breakfast buffet. Their breakfast buffet had the most delicious variety of food I have ever seen! I was thrilled by the selection of sweets and bread in the morning. The salads were also delicious, and I think it's worth staying here again just to have this breakfast.

After having lunch at Togetsuan, I saw a delicious-looking cake on my way out and decided to buy it as a souvenir. It was my first time purchasing one even though I had seen it before. The cake looked beautiful and very tasty. I chose the pistachio roll cake, and my colleague was also tempted to buy one. The pistachio flavor was strong, the sweetness was just right, and we enjoyed our tea time with this delicious cake. Thank you for the meal!

I usually don't feel grateful for things, but in these times, the effort to maintain things as they always are is truly admirable. I stayed at a hotel called OMO7 in Asahikawa, managed by Hoshino Resorts. Due to a change in plans, I ended up in Asahikawa and chose to stay at OMO7. The breakfast buffet caught my attention. The breakfast here is buffet style, but there were no signs of any changes due to the current situation. They greeted us with the usual breakfast. The staff were quick with alcohol disinfection for guests, and promptly cleaned up after guests finished eating. The dishes were covered, and utensils like knives and forks were neatly stored on small wooden shelves, typical of OMO. The meal content was almost the same as before, with waffles, salads, unique drinks, and bread available. The atmosphere was relaxed, and I was able to enjoy my breakfast as usual. I felt safe staying at this hotel. They handled the emergency situation well, and I trust that they will continue to do so in normal times. I would love to stay here again and have breakfast.

I went out for coffee. The cafe is inside a hotel, so it may seem intimidating to enter, but they serve coffee in mugs and it's actually very welcoming. The shop is stylish and clean, and even though I didn't have time to eat that day, the cakes are delicious! I want to go back and enjoy some cake leisurely next time.

I visited when I traveled to Hokkaido. In Hokkaido, there seems to be a trend for night parfaits, but I missed out on trying it in Sapporo... So, I tried the night parfait in Asahikawa. It was at a cafe inside the Hoshino Resorts hotel "OMO7" in Asahikawa. The interior had a natural taste and was stylish. The menu had only one type of parfait and several cake options. There was also a wide variety of alcohol on the menu, so even people who don't like sweet things should be fine. The parfait had cotton candy topping and was perfect for Instagram. The inside of the glass tasted like shortcake. It took a while for the order to be served, maybe because it was during the quiet period in October and there were few staff members... Even so, over 90% of the people in the cafe ordered the parfait. I chose the kanchou cake for the cake. The cake also looked great for Instagram! The cake was served quickly as it just needed to be plated.

After finishing sightseeing in Asahikawa, I returned to the hotel (Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Asahikawa). I quickly went to the large public bath to refresh. My wife takes a long time in the bath, so I took the opportunity to relax in the lounge. I entered the bar located at the back of the lounge. OMO Cafe & Bar has a high ceiling and a luxurious, open atmosphere. A lovely smiling female staff member escorted me to my seat and I looked at the menu. And then... there was a super deal called "FUN 2 PICK". A combination of food and drink for only 800 yen (tax included) in the hotel lounge, which is a great deal! I immediately ordered French fries (with gravy sauce) + Yona Yona Ale (draft). The Yona Yona Ale was as delicious as ever. The French fries were very generous in portion. Hot potato fries with gravy sauce and cheese on top. When I took a bite, it was extremely delicious! The flavor of the cheese and the taste of the potato were enhanced by the gravy sauce. This might be the most delicious potato fries I've ever had. I felt so good and ordered a classic draft beer. After a while, a female staff member came over and asked, "Did you enjoy your meal?" I said, "The potatoes were very delicious," and she replied with a beaming smile. (I'm glad I came here ♥️) Her thoughtful consideration helped me relax from the fatigue of the journey. When I paid the bill, I noticed the sweets on display in the showcase. I bought one for my wife to enjoy after dinner and returned to the room. Omurice for 380 yen is also a very reasonable price that you wouldn't expect from a hotel. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (Huh...?) When I realized, it was morning. It seems like I fell asleep in bed without eating dinner. Even though I didn't do anything tiring at the hotel, I must have been really tired...【For more details, check out the more immersive blog】http://waraibuta2.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-3752.html

The Asahikawa Grand Hotel near Asahikawa Station is now managed by Hoshino Resorts and renamed OMO7. The cafe near the front desk on the first floor and the breakfast area have been completely renovated. The rooms also have a brighter feel to them. The breakfast, as expected from Hoshino Resorts, is visually colorful and offers a wide variety of bread. With Furano, Biei, and the Asahiyama Zoo nearby, the main target customers are likely young families and groups of friends.

This is a post as a past memo. When I stayed at Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Asahikawa in 2019, the breakfast buffet was highlighted by freshly baked waffles and mountain wasabi rice bowl. There were also smoked salmon and colorful vegetables. I couldn't resist making a picture-perfect plate. The mountain wasabi rice bowl was delicious too. After this, I had lunch reserved at another place, but I ate too much here for breakfast, so it was hard to eat later.

I chose to stay at Asahikawa as a transit point to go to Kitami, but I wanted to visit this hotel because it was there. A hotel managed by Hoshino Resorts. When you check in at the hotel, it doesn't have the usual front desk or lobby, but rather a feeling of being in the middle of a forest in Hokkaido even though it's in the city. I stayed up late the night before, but I have plans to go out, so I want to have a hearty breakfast. I don't usually eat much for breakfast, but since I'm staying at this hotel, I want to eat a proper breakfast before heading out. The highlight is probably the waffles. You can have them as dessert or as a main dish. I've never had waffles as a main dish. They go well with salmon, ham, or bacon. I tried putting toppings that seem to go well and look delicious. There is also a wide variety of drinks available, and of course, there are regular rice and bread options, so even if you don't like waffles, there's nothing to worry about. You can enjoy a leisurely and relaxed breakfast in a nice atmosphere, which is a nice change from the usual rush. I instantly fell in love with the concept of this hotel. I hope they open one in Sapporo too.
