I unexpectedly found a place called "豆乳坦々ラーメン" while shopping in Izumi Chuo and it was lunchtime. I thought it might be too spicy, but since it was made with soy milk, I decided to try it. My dad loves ramen, so I suggested we eat here and he agreed. The parking lot had a steep entrance, but we managed to park without any issues. When we arrived at the restaurant, the sign was flipped over, making us wonder if they were closed. However, when we opened the door, we were relieved to see that they were open. I ordered the豆乳坦々ラーメン, while my dad ordered the duck ramen. The soy milk ramen had a mild spiciness that was not overpowering, and it was delicious. They also provided garlic and chili pepper on the side for those who wanted to adjust the flavor. The owner was running the restaurant alone, so the service was a bit slow, but he was very kind and attentive. The restaurant had a few counter seats and one table, and it was not too crowded, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. I visited on a Saturday around noon.

Located a 5-6 minute walk from Komyoike Station on the Semboku Express Railway, this hidden gem of a ramen shop is yet to be visited by the esteemed ramen reviewer Yotsune-san. It seems that they mainly offer ramen during the day and izakaya-style dishes at night. When I visited on a Saturday afternoon, there were no other customers, so I took a seat at the counter. Later on, locals from the Komyoike area started to trickle in. It was a very hot day, so I ordered a bottled beer and asked the master to recommend a dish to go with it. The friendly master engaged in small talk and improvised a dish to accompany my beer, for which I was grateful. After quenching my thirst with the beer, I ordered the recommended soy milk tantanmen ramen. The soy milk-based soup was mild and gentle, with a hint of spiciness from the meat miso, doubanjiang, chili oil, and sesame oil. Those who seek a strong level of spiciness may find it a bit lacking. Sprinkling garlic chips on top and mixing the meat miso with the noodles created a delicious combination. The texture of the bok choy added a nice touch. After finishing the ramen, I dove the white rice into the soy milk soup and added garlic chips to create a soy milk tantanmen risotto, which was delightful. The delicious soy milk tantanmen ramen and risotto were a treat. A return visit to this cozy and welcoming shop is definitely on the cards. The amiable atmosphere created by the kind-hearted master makes it a very comfortable place to dine. It's only about a 3-minute walk from the Komyoike Driver's License Testing Center, so consider stopping by when you renew your license.

When I searched for "Komyoike Ramen," I found it and decided to go. It's hard to tell if they're open without a ramen flag. There's a sign saying they're open, and the counter seats have partitions and alcohol disinfectant. I ordered the soy milk tantanmen. There was a couple with a child at the back of the counter, and a man dining alone in the front. The owner was working alone. I noticed a fridge stocked with cold sake. The cooking was done carefully. The couple shared the tantanmen with their child, who seemed to enjoy it. The dish was gentle and delicious, suitable for children. The owner was kind and provided good service. The soy milk and sesame flavor was mild with a hint of spiciness. The mustard greens and minced meat miso were delicious. I finished the soup because it was so tasty. The man next to me left and I saw that they also offer dishes like raw duck. I should have tried the duck ramen. There's also Inunaki pork. The ingredients looked delicious and of good quality for a reasonable price. There are many places offering chicken sashimi, but duck sashimi is rare. I would like to try it with some good sake. I didn't ask if they serve alcohol during lunch. They also have coffee for lunch, although I didn't order it. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I ate there. The soy milk was quite gentle and the meat miso had a mild spiciness. The person who seemed to be the owner was quite gentle, asking if it wasn't too spicy. It's a kind place. However, the area is full of tough-looking guys because the Komei-ike Driver's License Examination Center is nearby. Personally, I wouldn't mind if it had a bit more variety, like Pho or something. It should be more diverse and open-minded!

I first visited this restaurant after seeing it in a local information magazine, and I have been back about 10 times since. Their tantanmen with a soy milk base is spicy yet sweet, creating a unique taste. The portion of noodles is also elegant, so I always need to order extra noodles and rice. Even after finishing my meal, I always feel like having another bowl. Hmm, I think I'll go again on my next day off!

I searched around Komyo Pond and found a izakaya that serves ramen for lunch, and the photos look really good. It's located diagonally from the driving school, with a parking lot behind it. I decided to order the soy milk tantan ramen for 700 yen, without rice. The ramen made with soy milk seemed healthy and the presentation was beautiful. It had plenty of minced meat in the middle. The noodles were a bit soft for my liking, but that's just a matter of preference. I would like to visit again as an izakaya user. The menu was quite extensive! Thank you for the meal.

The izakaya transforms into a tofu ramen and dan dan noodles shop during the day. I tried the dan dan noodles, and the soup was gentle and delicious. The noodles were light in quantity and soft in texture. I felt like ordering a bowl of rice to finish off the meal. The owner seemed kind and even struck up a conversation with me. I heard they also serve dishes like hot pot in the evening, so it seems like they are skilled in various types of cuisine.

The first impression was a pure Japanese-style soy milk tantanmen. It is made with kombu, bonito dashi broth, soy milk, sesame oil, and chili oil to bring out the flavor. They have removed unnecessary oil from the minced meat, so it is light and delicious. The straight medium-thin noodles have a slight wave, which helps them absorb the soup well. They mainly serve hot pot dishes in the evening. Thank you for the meal.

■Soy Milk Tantanmen Ramen 700 yen・Located right near the Komyoike Driver's License Testing Center, this ramen shop also functions as an izakaya at night.・I was recommended to go easy on the spiciness, so I ordered the Soy Milk Tantanmen.・The interior of the shop is clean and well-organized, giving off a sense of cleanliness from the owner.・The gentle taste of soy milk and the spicy kick of the Tantan broth matched well, with the wavy noodles blending nicely.・Toppings included minced meat and Chinese cabbage, keeping it simple. After finishing my license renewal, I entered as soon as they opened at 11:30. Even as someone who doesn't handle spice well, the mildness was just right for me. The friendly owner added to the positive experience. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely visit again.

I visited this restaurant for lunch today around 12:40. It was my first time here and I was the only customer in the empty restaurant. I sat at the counter seat and ordered the soy milk tantan ramen and rice from the simple menu. The owner, who was alone, prepared the dishes. The soy milk tantan ramen was not too spicy and the Chinese cabbage added a nice touch. I finished by diving the rice into the soup. It was a delicious meal.

Today's lunch was delicious! I found a new ramen shop in Sakai City that I haven't been to yet. For dinner, I'm thinking of going to an izakaya that serves sake. I'm interested in trying their tofu sesame hot pot. I also tried their tofu sesame ramen for 700 yen, and it was so creamy and delicious! The restaurant is called Jiyu Honpo Hanahiko in Izumi City.

Hanahiko, a restaurant near the Komyoike Driving Test Center, offers ramen only for lunch and transforms into an izakaya at night. They serve various dishes such as Saga beef teppanyaki and hot pot for dinner. The tofu dandan ramen I tried this time had a mild taste from the tofu, with just the right amount of spiciness, creating a smooth and delicious dish. The noodles and meat miso blended well together, and finishing off with a rice dive topped with pickled salted kelp made for a tasty porridge. I look forward to visiting at night next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

"I visited 'Jiyu Honpo Hanahiko,' which opened in July, for some weekend ramen information. This restaurant is a lunch-only branch of an izakaya called 'Jiyu Honpo Hanahiko' located in Izumi City. The nearest station is Izumikita High-speed Railway Line Komyoike Station. Inside the restaurant, I saw a familiar face, Maachin, sitting at the next table. The menu includes Soy Milk Tantanmen (700 yen), Soy Milk Ramen (700 yen), Meat Tamago (+300 yen), Onsen Tamago (+100 yen), and Extra Noodles (+100 yen). The soup has a slightly thick consistency, combining bonito and kelp broth with soy milk. It has a moderate seafood flavor with the added spiciness and sweetness of meat miso, resulting in a lightly flavored broth. The noodles are wavy and medium-thin, with a good elasticity and chewiness that pairs well with the soup. Customers who post on social media with tags can enjoy a free extra noodle service."
