I visited the Japanese bar "Washoku + Bar Mitsui" in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. It was truly a hidden gem for adults. I enjoyed high-quality Japanese cuisine there. As I descended the stairs leading to the underground establishment and opened the door, I entered a space of extraordinary ambiance. The interior, predominantly black with artistic driftwood decorations, exuded sophistication. The spacious counter illuminated by indirect lighting created an atmosphere suitable for adults. Everything was so stylish! The manager and staff were friendly and engaging as they greeted me across the counter. This time, I left it to Manager Suzuki to decide the dishes for me. Exciting! First up was: - Tomorrow's Leaf and Moroheiya Ohitashi: The beautifully presented dish was a feast for the eyes. - Whale Tataki Yuke-style: The dish was elegantly garnished with chrysanthemum flowers, and the flavors were rich and well-balanced. - Assorted Sashimi: The bonito was so tender and flavorful, and the seared Kinmedai was delightful. The aged sashimi in the center was a unique and delicious experience. - Grilled Large Anago: The dish was flavorful on its own, but even more delicious with wasabi. - Wagyu Beef and Uni Roll: This popular dish featured caviar and was a luxurious treat. - Grape Prawn: This rare and exquisite prawn was a highlight of the meal, with its succulent texture and sweet taste. - Conger Eel and Soft Shell Crab Tempura: The conger eel was crispy outside and tender inside, while the soft shell crab offered two distinct textures and flavors. - Egg Rice Bowl with Sea Urchin Dashi: A luxurious take on the classic Tamago Kake Gohan, with sea urchin dashi adding depth and flavor. Each dish was meticulously prepared, and I was continuously amazed and delighted by the flavors. It was a night where I experienced and savored seasonal delicacies with my eyes and taste buds, stimulating all my senses. I am grateful to the manager for preparing such wonderful dishes. Washoku + Bar Mitsui truly felt like an adult hideaway. Stepping through the door, I entered a refined space that sharpened my senses. There were also two table seats at the back. I highly recommend it for entertaining clients or a romantic date. Please visit with your loved ones and enjoy this exceptional dining experience. It's worth considering a slightly higher budget for a truly satisfying experience.

I visited on a Friday around midnight without a reservation and no waiting, with 2 people. Smoking is allowed. The total cost for 2 people was around 6,000 yen. The atmosphere was calm and the food was elegant and delicious. The grilled saury was especially tasty. They have a wide selection of sake, so I'd like to go back for sake and hot pot rice next time. The place seems welcoming for solo diners too, so I'd like to try that as well. Thank you for the meal!

A friend recommended me to visit Mitsui-san, a stylish Japanese BAR with a hidden underground atmosphere. I ordered a sashimi platter with 3 types of fish (1150 yen), sliced tsubugai (1380 yen), fried summer vegetables (980 yen), fried corn (860 yen), smoked Kinka mackerel ham (780 yen), fried tuna cheek meat with grated daikon (1080 yen), thick-cut Unzen ham cutlet (1180 yen), and chilled vinegar citrus somen noodles (1080 yen), totaling 8 dishes. The fresh raw whitebait had no fishy smell and was full of flavor. The tsubugai was also fresh with a pleasant seaweed aroma. The swordfish sashimi, which I rarely eat, had a balanced flavor with a seared skin. The summer vegetables included eggplant, okra, bitter melon, and bell pepper, soaked in a rich broth that paired well with beer. The Kinka mackerel had just the right amount of smokiness. The ham cutlet was of high quality, typical of Unzen ham. The fried corn had a unique and delicious taste. The tuna tempura was also devoured quickly. I couldn't resist getting a second serving of the vinegar citrus somen noodles as they were too tasty. Everything was of high quality, the ambiance was stylish, and the comfort was great. It was a truly blissful moment. I will definitely come back again.

I visited a hidden gem Japanese bar in Kabukicho this time. When I entered, I felt the stylish interior and attention to lighting. The restaurant was beautiful and had a history of about 5-6 years. The menu I tried this time was: 1. Assorted 5 types 2. Wagyu beef wrapped with sea urchin 3. Butter soy sauce stir-fried mate clam 4. Shiitake mushroom tempura 5. Moon-viewing grated yam steak bowl. Everything was delicious, especially the shiitake mushroom tempura and moon-viewing grated yam steak bowl. The tempura was crispy and delicious, and the steak bowl, though a bit pricey, was worth it for the generous portion. The meat was tender, and the combination of grated yam and egg was great, making me feel happy throughout. I definitely want to go again!

Price: 5,000 yen. I mentioned that I love sake, and a friend took me to this place. The owner is a real specialist, and all the sake here is amazing. I just said I like this kind of sake, and they hit the mark with every one. They have some rare sakes that even sake experts don't know. They also have some exclusive sakes that you can only find here. I love the premium feeling here. The food pairings are perfect too! The kombu and pickled oysters are so tasty and really complement the sake. They even serve sake in unique tokkuri.

I made a last-minute reservation for a birthday celebration date at this restaurant where I wanted to eat Japanese food. When I opened the door to the underground, I was surprised by the spacious interior. The counter was also large with plenty of space for dishes. From the sashimi to the simmered dishes, the seafood was fresh and delicious. The seasonal vegetables were also fresh and full of flavor, and the beef and sea urchin dish was also delicious. I was satisfied with everything. Despite the last-minute request, they kindly prepared a cake for us, and I am truly grateful for their thoughtfulness. The drink menu was also extensive. Although I mostly stuck to non-alcoholic drinks this time, there were many types of sake available. I noticed that my favorite New Government No.6 was also on the list, so I would like to come back next time to enjoy delicious food while drinking that. I will definitely come back. Thank you for a wonderful time.

I discovered a high-class restaurant in Kabukicho, the love hotel district, similar to those in Ginza. The manager is very particular about the ingredients and I ordered the rare grape shrimp, which is hard to find and costs almost double at other places. The meat-wrapped dishes were also exceptional! The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and I think all the girls would be happy to be taken here. I couldn't post pictures, but they also have a wide selection of sake on the menu, so I think men would enjoy it too.

A very satisfying restaurant!!! Here's what I had that day: - Boiled amaranth leaves and molokhia - Avocado and prosciutto salad - Extra-large surf clam - Grape shrimp - Fried alligator - Summer vegetable tempura - Wagyu beef wrapped with sea urchin I tried grape shrimp for the first time, and I was told that it's a rare shrimp that is not commonly found in the Kanto region! It was rich, sweet, and made me happy. Every dish was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, and the hospitality of the manager was wonderful. I have found another favorite place to go to.

When you open the door and go down to the basement, you will find a cozy and modern Japanese-style space all in black. The menu offers a variety of authentic Japanese dishes using fresh seasonal ingredients, beautifully arranged. The most popular dish is the "Wagyu beef wrapped with sea urchin", where the rich flavor of sea urchin combines with caviar and roast beef, perfect with drinks. Since it is mainly a bar, the drinks made with hand-cut ice from an ice maker are exceptional. I usually order my drinks without ice, but for Mitsu-i, I requested it with ice. The sashimi, including sea urchin, was fresh and delicious. I love fish! If you come to Shinjuku, be sure to stop by♡

A hidden gem restaurant with a wide variety of authentic Japanese cuisine. One of my favorite dishes among the ones we ordered was the assorted sashimi platter. It allows you to indulge in freshly caught sashimi of various types. The most popular dish, Wagyu beef roll topped with sea urchin, was absolutely delicious and melted in my mouth instantly! It was so tasty without any fishy smell. Despite the hustle and bustle outside in Shinjuku, once you step into the restaurant, you'll be greeted with a calm and relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy a leisurely meal. The ambiance is great, with a chic and sophisticated setting, making it a perfect choice for couples to dine in!

Visited the restaurant with friends after watching a movie. Located right in the heart of the Pink District, I was a bit nervous but the atmosphere inside was lovely! It was a bit disappointing that smoking was allowed in all seats, but all the food was delicious! I tried anglerfish sashimi for the first time, and it had a mild and delicate taste similar to cod. It seems like there are not many places where you can eat anglerfish sashimi.

The bar-style restaurant has a wide counter where delicious dishes come out quickly. It's not crowded and ordering is smooth with the bartender in front of you. It's surprisingly calm, almost like being in Shinjuku 2-chome. I'm sorry for the rude title.

We visited this restaurant for a meal with our daughter and son-in-law who live in Tachikawa. We found this place online and it seemed nice for a last-minute booking near our hotel. The restaurant was smaller than we had imagined, but had a good atmosphere without being too noisy. We opted for the affordable course menu with all-you-can-drink. The food was surprisingly good for the price, and we enjoyed the flavors. We wished they had wine included in the drink menu. Other drink options were decent for the price. The only thing we hope for improvement is that they did not provide a receipt when we paid by card. They offered to provide a receipt if needed, but it made us a bit uneasy. Despite this, we were satisfied with the atmosphere and taste, and would like to visit again.

The sake at this restaurant is only recommended for high-priced brands, and when I ordered a glass, it was served in a quantity that seemed more like shochu on the rocks (about 150ml). This was quite surprising. Is there some kind of mistake? There was a mysterious charge of 500 yen. The glass the server used was dirty, as if it had been used before. Very off-putting.
