I had a great deal on a set where I could enjoy both tonkotsu ramen and mentaiko at once, two specialties of Hakata. The tonkotsu ramen was surprisingly light and the soup was delicious. It had thinly sliced large pieces of chashu on top. (Personally, I prefer thicker chashu, so I found it a bit lacking.) The mentaiko rice was simple, just white rice topped with a generous portion of mentaiko, but I found this style to be the most delicious! The restaurant is located on the third floor of Fukuoka Airport's Ramen Runway.

At Fukuoka Airport, there was a ramen shop called "Sachan Ramen" set up on the runway. For today's lunch, I decided to try it out. The menu prices were on the higher side. I purchased a ticket for the basic "Tonkotsu Ramen" for 780 yen including tax. I requested the noodles to be firm. The toppings included a large but thin slice of chashu and green onions only. The chashu had little fat and a nice meaty texture. There were oil droplets on the surface of the soup, but the soup itself was not too oily. It had a somewhat light taste, similar to soy sauce tonkotsu. The counter offered free toppings like sesame, garlic, pickled ginger, and pickled mustard greens. I added them gradually while eating the ramen. I couldn't get a refill because I eat small portions, but I enjoyed the bowl this way. The pickled mustard greens were salty, so be careful not to add too much. Additional noodles cost 150 yen. It was delicious, but the prices were airport prices. Chashu ramen and wonton ramen cost over 1,000 yen.

I have visited all the ramen shops at Fukuoka Airport for the third time, but this shop has the best cost performance, taste, and satisfaction. The fact that there are pickled vegetables and red pickled ginger on the table earns high points from travelers and tonkotsu fans. The owner understands well, as there is garlic and chili pepper available for flavor variations. Thank you for the meal.

Fukuoka's delicious gourmet, Kō-chan Ramen, is nostalgic! This straightforward soy sauce pork bone ramen is the real deal "old-school ramen." There is a ramen restaurant called "Ramen Runway" at Fukuoka Airport. I went in, bought a meal ticket, and my ramen arrived in about 5 minutes. It was great because I had limited time due to my flight schedule. The ramen had firm thin noodles and a not too rich pork bone soup. The price was 750 yen.

I have passed by this place many times and also passed by other nearby stores, but for some reason never had the chance to visit until now! I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was haha. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations when I walked in, but the soup and noodles were really delicious!

It's probably a limited-time pop-up shop (sorry if I'm wrong) like Mohican Ramen or Ariyoshi Shoten that changes locations. This time, there was a new shop called Sachiko Ramen. I decided to try it out. The ramen had thin noodles like Nagahama Ramen, with a light soup that wasn't too heavy. On the table, there were condiments like garlic, pickled ginger, and pickled vegetables, typical of Nagahama Ramen. The soup was quite light and easy to drink, very delicious. The garlic went really well with it. I couldn't resist ordering the mentaiko rice as well. With the pickled vegetables on the table, it felt like a complete Hakata meal. I must say, I was very satisfied. The mentaiko rice was a bit pricey, but it was worth it.

First stop at Fukuoka Airport was Ramen Kusourou. This popular ramen shop is lined with many other shops along the runway. We went during lunchtime and although the interior is not very spacious, the turnover is quick and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. My kids were delighted and kept saying how delicious the ramen was!

After returning from a business trip to Miyazaki, I had brunch with tonkotsu ramen. There is a ramen runway on the 3rd floor of Fukuoka Airport. I arrived around 10:30 and the seating was just right. I was able to sit at the counter without waiting. The ramen here was delicious. The tonkotsu flavor was strong. The classic is always the best! I was able to enjoy the rich tonkotsu without it being too heavy on the stomach. The restaurant is right inside the runway, so it's easy to find. I even had an extra serving of noodles to finish it off.

I departed from Haneda Airport almost an hour late and arrived in Fukuoka feeling hungry. Without hesitation, I headed straight to the ramen runway. I had always been curious about this place but had been deterred by the long lines. However, since it was a bit late for lunch, I finally got to try my long-awaited bowl of ramen at Sachan. I enjoyed half of it as it was, and then added some pickled ginger. It was delicious and I finished every last bite.

I visited shortly before lunch. There were already a few people lining up, even though other shops were trying to attract customers. I thought it must be a popular place. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with an extra serving of noodles. The tonkotsu flavor was not too overpowering, and it was very delicious. The staff's service was also excellent, which I think is a good point.

I visited a pork bone ramen shop at the airport and decided to order the "extra rich" option. I was unsure what "extra rich" meant, but it turned out to be adding extra pork fat. While it did increase the richness slightly, I felt like it was still a bit lacking.

I arrived safely at Fukuoka Airport and headed straight for a meal haha. I stored my carry-on bag in a coin locker to travel light and went to Ramen Runway. I've eaten here before and it never disappoints. Most shops open at 10 am, but this one opens at 9 am, so I decided to visit. The main seating is at the counter tables, with regular tables in the back. I bought my meal ticket and the staff prepared a seat for me while I waited. I ordered the Hakata specialty set with an extra serving of noodles. It cost 1300 yen. The set comes with a normal ramen and a mentaiko rice bowl. Fukuoka is known for mentaiko, so I wanted to try it. I chose the noodles to be firm. The ramen arrived first, and it had a slightly brown soup base with a pork bone aroma from the storefront. It was delicious, with green onions and chashu on top. The noodles were firm and mixed well with the soup. Then the mentaiko rice bowl arrived, and it was tasty as well. I've grown accustomed to the mentaiko flavor and enjoyed it. I rolled some mentaiko and rice with seaweed for a different taste. I added the extra noodles and enjoyed them with spicy pickled vegetables for a change in flavor. Before I knew it, I had finished my meal. Fukuoka's pork bone ramen is truly delicious. I don't know how many more bowls I can eat during this trip, but I want to try as many as possible. Thank you for the meal.

The customer service at the store was good. I ordered the Hakata specialty set A. The Hakata ramen had a simple taste that made me feel nostalgic. After finishing the mentaiko rice and ramen, I felt a little unsatisfied, so I ordered an extra serving of noodles. My stomach was satisfied and full. Thank you for the meal.

Head to the ramen runway on the 3rd floor and you'll find delicious ramen waiting for you. This time, it's "Kou-chan Ramen Fukuoka Airport Store," a famous shop with a limited-time pop-up until autumn. Apart from set menus, there are other options available as well, though they may be a bit hard to find on the ticket machine. I personally prefer the basic tonkotsu ramen for 780 yen. The thin, large slices of chashu are warmed by the soup and look delicious. And they taste just as good. I like to take a break halfway through and add plenty of pickled mustard greens. It's a tricky timing, but it's worth it for the double enjoyment. I'm satisfied.

Huh? A new store? I thought and entered. It was a crowded store just like Isshintei across the street. I ordered the regular tonkotsu ramen, and hmm... it's the same as everywhere else. I finished my bowl and decided to visit another place today. I thought this place was different from my last visit last month, but it turns out there's only this place that opens in the 9 o'clock hour. Everyone at the neighboring tables and across from me all bought extra noodle tickets and ordered extra noodles as they ate. But the local man next to me just watched them. I learned that there are various ways to add toppings, but I voted for the person across from me who mixed the extra noodles with extra sauce before adding them in. As I plan to visit more places, next time I will make sure to research the restaurant before entering.

Char siu flavored ramen with seasoned egg for 1,200 yen. The soup is light and the noodles are easy to eat, although they don't absorb the soup well. The seasoned egg was disappointing with a firm yolk and shallow flavor. This is a good place to go when you want a refreshing ramen, especially in the morning.

Returning from a business trip, I realized I hadn't eaten Hakata ramen in Fukuoka yet, so I decided to have some before heading back. It was still before 10 am, so only two shops were open at the airport ramen alley, and I chose to enter this shop called Sachiko Ramen. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. After a few minutes of waiting, the Hakata ramen I had been imagining arrived. When I slurped the soup, it was delicious! The tonkotsu broth had a light yet rich flavor. I drank it all up even after finishing the noodles. There were takana (pickled mustard greens) and beni shoga (pickled ginger) on the table for unlimited refills. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but I left completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back.

On June 6, 2023 (Tuesday), it's raining, but my partner and I are going on a 2-night, 3-day trip. We're heading to that island for the first time in our lives. But first, we need to fuel up. We came to "Kou-chan Ramen Fukuoka Airport branch" because they're open early in the morning, which is convenient. I ordered my food ticket.
- Highball: A special privilege drink for my partner. I'm jealous.
- Mentaiko Rice: I love mentaiko, so I just borrowed some rice.
- Ramen (extra pork fat): The soup is delicious. My partner is also satisfied with it. The noodles are firm and tasty. The char siu is moist and delicious. By the way, my partner almost choked on the seaweed.

Arrived at Fukuoka Airport for a business trip and had a quick lunch inside the airport as I had a remote meeting. I checked out the ramen street and decided to visit this place that looked the most delicious to me. I ordered the ramen with extra fat and mentaiko rice set for ¥1200. The ramen had less noodles (aiming for extra noodles?) and tasted like a mild tonkotsu ramen. I was surprised by the mentaiko on top of the rice. Truly Fukuoka.
