I came here for the first time in about 3 years, but it was still delicious today! I ordered level 3 spiciness, tomato base, and shirataki noodles. For the finale, I had cheese and rice risotto. There were fewer customers than before, so I was able to get in easily. It seems like there are fewer people walking around in Konnya-cho as well.

Soy sauce (half) for 700 yen, spiciness level 5, udon noodles, extra garlic. The noodles were transparent and had a good chewiness, like Tsuru-Mochi. I was expecting a stronger soy sauce flavor in the soup, but it was just a hint of it. It tasted slightly salty, maybe due to the soy sauce or it could be my imagination. There were two young people at the table next to me eating level 25 spicy noodles and they were making a big fuss about how spicy it was, which was cute to see. Just so you know, the Mikamori branch has closed down (see photo). I wonder who will be the first to post on the Lycopene Research Institute...

As of April 19, 2021, the restaurant has resumed normal business hours, but they have slightly shortened their hours from 19:00 to 3:00. On this day, I went to watch Dragon Gate at the Kokura Kita Sports Center. I always feel like eating spicy noodles after watching Dragon Gate, it's embarrassing but true (laughs). The restaurant sponsors the event, so their advertisement is displayed on the ring banners. Even though there is no Matsumoto store nearby, I decided to visit this spicy noodle restaurant on my way back. The reviews were quite good, so I had high expectations. I usually eat instant spicy noodles as a late-night snack, but it had been a while since I dined in a restaurant, so I ordered the level 5 spiciness. I remember my ex-boyfriend liked spicy food, and we tried various levels at Matsumoto, with level 5 being just right. Anything above level 7 was too spicy, but the sweetness of the rice was enhanced when paired with it. However, this time I played it safe with a lower level. The staff explained the different options for garlic, and I chose the minced garlic for maximum flavor. The spicy noodles arrived, and even though it was my first time there, it felt familiar and welcoming. The regular size was quite large, and the soup was plentiful. The balance of spiciness and fluffy scrambled eggs was delicious, and I managed to finish it all. The minced meat added a nice texture, and the occasional crunchy cartilage was tasty. The only downsides were that the default amount of leeks was small, and the extra toppings were a bit pricey. I savored the leeks that were there and decided to go easy on the rice next time. Even though I was already full, I couldn't resist ordering a small portion of rice for a rice soup. It's worth noting that even the small portion was quite generous. The soup was abundant, and even after adding the rice, it didn't dry up. The restaurant was clean, and they provided paper aprons and storage baskets, making it comfortable for female customers. There are rumors that this place surpasses a certain popular spicy noodle chain, so I'm curious to compare the two. I haven't had Matsumoto in the past two years, so I can't say for sure at this point. Most of the Matsumoto locations in Kitakyushu require a car to reach, but having this one near my home is very convenient. They also have a tomato dish that is said to be delicious, so I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm not a fan of raw tomatoes, but I love tomato-based dishes, so I'm intrigued. If this place is nearby, I can easily satisfy my cravings for both spicy noodles and tomato dishes.

The spicy noodles at Hachiryu are much more delicious than the famous Miyazaki spicy noodles at Oomoto. It's a chain restaurant that stays open until early morning, so it's convenient to stop by after a night out. The perfect way to end the meal is with spicy noodles! According to the theory that spicy food causes sweating and burns calories, it's practically zero calories! Well, maybe that theory is a bit far-fetched. However, they use konjac noodles!... Well, they're actually made from buckwheat flour, but they don't feel as guilty as regular Chinese noodles. For those who have been to a spicy noodle restaurant, you probably already know this, but you can choose between soy sauce-based or tomato-based soup. I personally prefer the refreshing tomato base. Additionally, you can choose the type and amount of noodles. I always order konjac noodles, so I have no idea what other options are available. You can also choose the level of spiciness for the soup, which affects the price. The soup also changes in consistency with the level of spiciness. Up to level 18, it doesn't become too thick like clay. By adding a lot of chili peppers, the soup is more drinkable at lower spice levels, but at level 25, it becomes more like a meal. In my subjective opinion, level 8 is the best for enjoying the deliciousness. You can also choose the shape of the garlic, either whole or minced, as well as the amount. The normal amount of garlic isn't too overpowering, so I recommend it unless you dislike garlic. Whole garlic doesn't have a strong garlic flavor, so if you want to fully enjoy the garlic, go for minced. However, it will be very strong in garlic smell. You can also add extra toppings for an additional cost, and personally, I would love to make it Italian style with tomatoes and cheese, but eating cheese late at night would be a disaster, so I resist the temptation. Someone please do it for me. To finish off, adding rice and turning it into a tomato risotto-style dish is fantastic. However, even the half portion has a generous amount of noodles, so you need space in your stomach for rice... it can be a bit overwhelming if you order it from the start. The "nankotsu" (cartilage) side dish is also delicious. It's full of collagen. Women should definitely eat it. It will make your skin nice and firm.

I ordered the Tomato 25 Spicy Ramen, regular size, with konjac noodles and whole garlic at Yatatsu in Kokura, which was not my first time at a ramen shop. It was my first time trying the spicy ramen, and although the spiciness was manageable, the temperature was quite hot. I let it cool down a bit before ordering an extra serving of konjac noodles for ¥200 and finishing all the soup. I usually don't like ramen, but the konjac noodles made from buckwheat flour were so satisfying to chew. I managed to finish the whole bowl. Yatatsu is only open at night, but I will definitely go back and order the same dish when I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

Tomato konnyaku noodles with level 3 spiciness is my personal favorite! If I try other noodles, they just feel ordinary, but for some reason, this one is addictive. It's delicious!! Definitely, the tomato version is tastier! The minced meat chunks in it make me want to drink all the broth, and it goes perfectly with white rice. I used to make fun of spicy noodles, but now I've come to this restaurant more than 5 times already!!! LOL

Miyazaki spicy noodle shop opened in April 2019. I love spicy noodles so much (*☻-☻*) I always thought that if there was a spicy noodle shop like ○ Moto in Kokura Kita-ku... a shop that might surpass ○ Moto is now in Konoyamachi ((o(^∇^)o)) Yay♪ Excited, I visited for the first time (*≧∀≦*) There are two counter seats and two 4-person tables. The staff, I think, are the owner and his wife, and they are both very friendly. The base of the spicy noodles (soup) can be chosen from soy sauce and tomato!! I started with the "soy sauce" base... I love spicy food, so I chose level 10 spiciness. The prices for regular size are: 0 spiciness → 800 yen, 1-5 spiciness → 850 yen, 6-9 spiciness → 900 yen, 10-14 spiciness → 1000 yen, 15-20 spiciness → 1100 yen, 21-25 spiciness → 1200 yen. I have experience with level 10 spiciness at ○ Moto, so I wanted to challenge myself further, but since it was my first visit and the spiciness level was unknown, I played it safe... I was attracted to the Andou (&) raw green chili topping, so I kept the base spiciness low (^◇^;) The garlic was in a normal amount and finely chopped. Spicy Noodles (level 10 spiciness) + Raw green chili topping Starting with the soy sauce flavor since it was my first visit. First bite... it was spicy and delicious! The steam with the scent of garlic, followed by the raw green chili reaching from behind. "Tasty!!! It reminded me of ○ Moto's spicy noodles, with the broth, chili, and garlic all being perfectly balanced and enhanced. The spiciness gradually builds up, so be careful not to let your guard down (^◇^;) "It's spicy, but delicious!! Haha" The minced meat was bigger than usual, and I could taste the texture and umami well! Personally, at this point (level 10 spiciness + green chili), the taste is perfect(о´∀`о)b☆☆ The scent of green chili is also nice(°▽°)b However, the spiciness creeps up on you, so be careful if you want to increase the spiciness! If you take a bite of the green chili, it might feel like it's around level 15 spiciness...( ̄O ̄;) The standard noodles are made of konjac, which is a type of noodle made from buckwheat. Konjac noodles are popular for their good compatibility with spicy noodle soup, as the chili sticks to the noodles, but the chewy texture and sharpness are absorbed by the stomach (^。^) Extra noodles I shifted to Chinese noodles. This flow is also part of my routine at ○ Moto, and it feels like I'm eating something different and it's a great deal♪ It's delicious the second time around, isn't it? (*´ω`*) Moreover, since the price is the same up to level 14 spiciness, they also gave me the remaining chili for the extra spiciness☆★☆ I added all the chili!! Since the konjac noodles lost some of their spiciness, the overall spiciness level didn't increase much... *There is a possibility of numbness due to repeated exposure to spiciness_:(´ཀ`」 ∠): Overall, I like it more than ○ Moto (≧∀≦)!!! The owner and his wife? watched over my spicy challenge from start to finish*\(^o^)/* The capsaicin in the chili for fat burning, the low calorie and dietary fiber of konjac noodles feel good for the body, so it's a great way to end your time in Kokura (#^.^#)b Oh, I forgot to mention, they also provide aprons so you can enjoy the spicy noodles without worry(*´ω`*) *Additional note* It seems that the owner originally worked at the spicy noodle shop ○ Moto... I could feel his passionate feelings towards spicy noodles~╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ I look forward to further development. I will continue to challenge myself with even spicier levels haha Thank you for the meal m(._.)m [Today's order] * Spicy Noodles (soy sauce) level 10 spiciness 850 yen * Extra noodles (Chinese noodles, half size) 100 yen * Raw green chili topping 100 → 50 yen

Impression: Delicious!!! Unlike other spicy noodle shops, this one has lots of meat in it, and the soup alone can be a great side dish for rice. You can choose from various types of noodles like konjac noodles, which is fun. A friend who loves super spicy food often goes here. It's located right in the middle of the Konoyamachi drinking district. There are plenty of parking lots nearby. The taste is average, but whenever I peek into the shop from outside, it's always bustling with lots of people. My recommendation is definitely the tomato-based dish with konjac noodles here! You can't go wrong with the tomato-based one.

◉ Genre: Spicy Noodles ◉ Area: Konokamachi, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu City ◉ Access: 8 minutes on foot from JR Kokura Station ◉ Parking: Not available (Coin parking nearby) ◉ Credit card payment: Not available ◉ Frequency of use: First time ◉ Number of reviews: 1st visit I was in the mood for something spicy that day. Laughing, I searched on Tabelog for the first time in a while and this place popped up! So, I quickly headed to "Karamen Hachiryu Kokura Konokamachi Store." ◇ Exterior and Interior The exterior is primarily red and black. It looks quite clean, perhaps because it's newly opened. The interior is the same, suitable for a ramen shop, whether it's a renovation or not. ◇ Seating There are counter seats and table seats. The total capacity is likely to exceed 20 people. ◇ Menu Of course, they have spicy noodles. They also offer a rich pork bone broth! It reminds me of a certain other shop. Laughing. I ordered the following: - Spicy noodles: First, you choose the soup. There are two types: ripe tomato and soy sauce. Next, choose the spiciness level from 0 to 25. Then, choose the type of noodles: konjac noodles, Chinese noodles, or udon. You can also have it with white rice like a porridge. Lastly, choose the amount and form of garlic. Since it was my first visit, I ordered soy sauce, level 10 spiciness, Chinese noodles, and normal minced garlic. As for the taste, to put it in extreme terms, it's like a lighter version of Matsumoto Ramen. The composition is not significantly different, but the layered taste unique to Matsumoto or the slightly sherry-like finish is less pronounced, making it less rich but easier to eat. Personally, it's an okay ramen. Also, it's nice that you can choose the form of garlic. The difference with Matsumoto's style may become clearer in the future, but for me, it was just the right ramen! The spiciness also comes across more subtly than directly. ◆ Strong Points Spicy noodles available late at night! ◆ Service The service was quite good! ◆ Summary There aren't many places where you can find spicy noodles open late, so it's quite convenient in that regard. It's not as spicy as I thought, so even those who are not good with spice can probably eat it. According to my senior, the owner used to run a Matsumoto Ramen shop. I'm not sure if that's true, but for me, it was a delicious bowl of noodles! The service was also good! By the way, the photo of the tomato is level 20 spiciness. Laughing. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a ramen shop that had opened in Konnokamachi on a whim. As I had half-imagined from the name, it was a shop called "Mamma Miyazaki Spicy Noodles". You could choose between soy sauce flavor or tomato flavor, and the ramen portion sizes were available in "half" and "regular", with even the "half" portion being almost a full serving. You could also choose between konjac noodles, Chinese noodles, udon, or rice (porridge). Of course, you could also choose whether or not to add garlic. This time, I chose soy sauce flavor and level 5 spiciness, but even with this, there was an additional charge, and since it was a weekday, I asked for no garlic. Perhaps due to the level 5 spiciness, the taste of the soup was relatively discernible, with a rich soy sauce flavor and a faint sweetness, making it feel like I was drinking sukiyaki broth. If it had been level 0 spiciness, it might have been too bland (laughs). The minced meat was not finely chopped and seemed to lack seasoning, giving it a somewhat mushy texture, which was disappointing. Some parts were like eating "flavorless meatballs". In Kitakyushu, "Masamoto" already has a strong reputation, so it would be nice to have another unique feature. The service was good, and the shop was clean, which may be expected from a new shop, making it easy to visit. If they could make the extra spiciness a bit cheaper or come up with a different approach to the minced meat, it would make me want to visit more actively. Of course, it's already delicious as it is. Oh, the fact that they provide wet wipes in plastic is a big plus.

When customers from Osaka come to Kokura, they always make sure to visit Hachiryu to eat. I totally understand why, haha. Each dish is carefully and deliciously made, you can really tell. They have established a great reputation for their wonderfully tasty food. I want to eat there every week, haha. 😊笑笑

Topping with cartilage. Spiciness level 1. Chinese noodles. A little bit of chopped garlic. The best! Always go for this. It fills you up, but the next day you might feel bloated. Can handle it even after drinking, but even without alcohol, it's a satisfying dinner. Other side menu items also catch my eye.

Tomato and egg go really well together, and the addition of garlic chives makes the soup delicious! However, this type of ramen doesn't mix well with the noodles. It's best enjoyed as a side dish with rice!
