While shopping in Shinjuku and walking around a bit to digest, I visited "Kamitori Kabukicho" for the first time in a while! I had made a reservation to eat and drink heartily this time. When I arrived at the restaurant, my friend was holding a glass of sake! It was actually a nice present for me, as my birthday is on the 23rd. Thank you for the cherry blossom viewing (even though we didn't see any) and birthday celebration! We ordered a lot of grilled dishes and ice-cold draft beer from Kamitori. The staff explained how to eat and drink each dish in a polite manner. We had a great time chatting with them. From the second drink onwards, we had a special large beer mug that can hold 3-4 regular beers. It was even bigger than the large mug I had this morning! We also enjoyed highballs in the special large mug, which made them taste even better. All the grilled dishes were delicious and we were very satisfied with the drinks. In the end, we had 1 regular draft beer, 1 special large beer, and 3 special large highballs. Thank you for always serving delicious grilled dishes! We had a great time eating and drinking at your restaurant!

It's been a while since I visited Kabukicho, and it's a bit confusing but definitely feels like Kabukicho! There are about 3 shops in the same building, but it's fun! I went with my close friends. Cheers with highballs! The food was good and reasonably priced. The skewers are small so you can order a variety. The fried chicken and marinated mackerel were delicious. We also had lemon highballs and regular highballs. It was a fun night! Thank you for the meal.

In recent years, a new red-light district called Kabukicho Red has been established, and I decided to visit one of the shops there because I was in the mood for yakitori. This place is not for those who are concerned about peace, cleanliness, or social distancing, as it has a rough and lively atmosphere suitable for drinkers who enjoy that kind of setting. I didn't mind and found a seat easily. The complimentary daikon with soy sauce was a nice touch, and I enjoyed the option of eating it either on its own or with the skewers. I ordered the chicken liver sashimi for ¥715 and a draft beer for ¥550, which was a good deal for the amount served. I was pleased to find out that they offer individual servings of water hotpot, which allowed my friend and I to share a pot while enjoying the yakitori. I ended up ordering a large beer for ¥1320, which was quite impressive in size and weight. Despite being slightly warm, the beer was enjoyable, and I ended up having two more large beers. The skewers we tried were all tasty and reasonably priced at around ¥200 per skewer, except for the skin. Overall, after drinking and eating to my heart's content, the total bill came to a little over ¥5000, which was reasonable considering the atmosphere and convenience of the place. It may not be for everyone, but for those looking for a lively spot to drink and eat without breaking the bank, this place might be worth a visit. Thank you for the meal!

No misses! A deep atmosphere yakitori restaurant! I visited Kamitori in the heart of Kabukicho, right in the middle of Kabukicho Red Lantern Street. The space of the restaurant is small and it's located on a street that may be hard to find, but the taste was incredibly delicious! Whether it's chicken skin, asparagus wrapped in pork, chicken thigh, chicken breast, or seared mackerel, there's no way to go wrong! There was no unpleasant smell and everything was delicious. Especially the premium white liver had a strong sesame oil aroma! It was incredibly delicious and went perfectly with alcohol. I don't drink, but I recommend it to those who do. Also, the chicken skin! I could easily eat 5 pieces by myself, it was a crispy chicken skin similar to the Hakata style that I really enjoyed!

Today, I went to an izakaya for the first time in a while. I decided to visit a restaurant in the Red Lantern District of Kabukicho, where I used to frequent before the pandemic. There are various themed shops in this area, but this time I visited this particular one. Due to the COVID-19 situation in Kabukicho, they were conducting temperature checks and alcohol disinfection thoroughly. I started with a toast with a cold beer served in a frosty mug. The appetizers at this restaurant included grated daikon radish and miso soup with clams, which can also be enjoyed as a side dish with yakitori. The chicken skin with ponzu sauce was not just a simple dish, it was well-seasoned and each piece was large and satisfying. The chicken liver was rich and flavorful, perfect for drinking. I was quite hungry and ate eagerly, forgetting to take many photos of the skewers, but the liver was perfectly grilled, with a creamy texture inside and delicious flavor. Both the skewers and appetizers were excellent, with no disappointments. In the Red Lantern District, all shops allow smoking, which is convenient for smokers in these times. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back. *I apologize for the slightly off color in the photos, it seems like there was a setting issue, sorry for that!笑笑

In the evening, we decided to head to Kabukicho's Red Lantern District for our third stop of the night, and this time we visited the new restaurant called Kamidori. The Red Lantern District is known for its high-quality and delicious food, and Kamidori did not disappoint. Located deep within Shinjuku Kabukicho, it can be a bit hard to find. We ordered liver sashimi, potato salad, assorted grilled chicken skewers, chicken skin with ponzu sauce, umesuisho, and more. The liver sashimi was incredibly delicious, with a rich and creamy texture that melts in your mouth. The grilled chicken skewers were also fantastic, especially the liver skewers. Everything exceeded our expectations and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The drinks were also great, with the mega jugs offering good value for money. Although we didn't eat a lot on our third stop, I would love to try a full meal here next time as the food was so delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal! Highly recommended!

Today, I went to the Red Lantern Street in Kabukicho and visited a yakitori restaurant called Kami Niwatori. It was late at night, so there weren't many customers. I enjoyed a variety of yakitori dishes. The taste was delicious and overall it was quite good. The atmosphere of the Red Lantern Street was also nice. I ordered a drink and was surprised by how big it was. I was worried if I could finish it, but before I knew it, it was gone. Thank you for the meal!

Located deep in the Red Lantern Street is "Kamidori"! When you visit, they will play the taiko drum for you (*>∇<)ノ On this day, there were two staff members, one handling reservations, cooking, and grilling, and the other in charge of the hall. The hall staff seemed like a manager, but regardless, all the staff members were extremely friendly!! They provided great service that made drinking and eating enjoyable, and the alcohol just kept flowing (lol). We ate and drank a lot, spending around 10,000 yen for two people. The delicious food made us want to come back soon♪(/ω\*) I found a restaurant that I want to revisit soon♪ Thank you for the wonderful meal♪♪♪

On this day, after drinking in Shinjuku 3-chome, I walked a little to Kabukicho for the first time in a while to visit the red-light district! The first place I went was back to Kamitori-san, where the chicken skin and chicken wings were delicious last time. This time, I drew a fortune chopstick and it was a good start. We were served red miso soup with clams and quail grated radish as an appetizer, which helped to neutralize the alcohol we had just been drinking. We started with a refreshing and delicious tomato highball for 500 yen, full of lycopene. It was healthy and tasty. Tomatoes are the best. Then, I ordered the three types of grilled chicken breast for 690 yen, which looked delicious as a limited-time offer. We also ordered the classic chicken and wasabi dish. After a while, the dishes arrived. The tender chicken breast was served with wasabi, plum, and yuzu pepper, all of which paired perfectly with the chicken breast. The tomato highball went down smoothly. The chicken and wasabi dish also had a masterful flavor. Seriously, it was so delicious! Thank you for the meal. Next, we headed to Mucchu on the second floor, which we couldn't visit last time.

Last month, a new red lantern street suddenly appeared in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. Located near Golden Gai, this red lantern street with a theme of red lanterns is the perfect new bar hopping route. It's fun to hop around and there are various shops with different concepts, making it enjoyable. I went there with my friends to this new attraction in Kabukicho, the Red Lantern Street.
For our first stop, we chose the Kabukicho branch of "Kamidori," which has a rating of 3.51 on Tabelog (as of November 26, 2018). We started with a toast with beer! The appetizer, clams in red miso soup, came out along with quail eggs. It's nice to have this kind of liver-friendly service right from the start. Next, when we picked up the chopsticks, there were fortune slips in the bag! Unfortunately, I got a so-so fortune that day, but only good things happened, so no problem at all! It's an interesting idea.
The specialty, Hakata chicken skin from Fukuoka, is meticulously prepared using a unique method of wrapping chicken skin around the meat and taking 3 days to complete. The skin is quite fatty and I'm not a fan, but the chicken skin here goes really well with beer and is delicious. Next, we chose the delicious looking chicken wings, Mikawa fried chicken, with sauce and salt for each. These spicy chicken wings were also very tasty. We also had a highball and enjoyed getting pleasantly tipsy. There were still many more dishes we wanted to try, but we wanted to continue bar hopping, so we ended it there. Thank you for the meal. We'll be back again!

In Shinjuku's Noren Street at night. Despite the casual atmosphere, the quality of the skewers was high and delicious, with a wide variety of vegetables. If you're not a fan of crowded places, it might be better to go early.

The bird dishes are delicious at the izakaya in Kabukicho Yokocho, which has various shops. The grilled skewers cooked right in front of you are the best (*゚∀゚*) The taste is guaranteed! Personally, I love the half-fried dishes!

Grilled dishes cost around 200 yen each, and the drinks are served in large mugs, which is satisfying. However, the price is decent with the addition of consumption tax and a 10% service charge called the "workstyle reform fee." If the taste was exceptional, it would be more understandable, but it is just average. Even though it is a well-known brand, the quality of the chicken is not outstanding. It takes quite some time from ordering the grilled dishes to being served, possibly due to the small grilling area. There are other restaurants in the area with better cost performance, so people tend to look there instead.

This is a review of Kami-dori in Kabukicho! The food at this restaurant was delicious, especially the yakitori. We tried the yakitori assortment, 6 kinds of chicken skewers, and grilled mackerel. The yakitori was easy to eat, and the chicken liver with wasabi was a great combination. I usually go to chain restaurants or cheaper places, but I thought it was nice to try a place like this once in a while.

I went into a place that looked like a meat alley and tried one of the shops. I wasn't expecting much, but the food was surprisingly delicious. In particular, the rare grilled chicken was a bit intimidating to look at, but it tasted great. The interior was also surprisingly clean. And the shochu bottle was only 980 yen! Very affordable. I think it's a good place for a late-night low-carb meal.
