The dishes I ordered were: Pork Wiener (220 yen), Buttered Potatoes (495 yen), Grilled Cod Roe (605 yen), and Crispy Cheese Senbei (550 yen). The oden had a rich and dark broth. The wiener was just okay, but I think dishes like daikon would be delicious! They have a wide variety of snacks, and you can also enjoy the One Cup Series from all over the country. I ordered a mixed plate of oden, tsubugai sashimi, and firefly squid marinated in vinegar. This is an established popular pub founded in 1950. Whenever I go drinking in Omoide Yokocho, I almost always end up here. I wasn't sure if I visited the main branch or the annex, but based on what I saw on Tabelog, it's probably the annex. When you enter the shop, you'll see a large refrigerator filled with cup sake. It gets me excited! Of course, I had to go for sake! The mixed plate of oden is a must-try. The color of the simmered daikon is amazing! It's irresistible! I enjoyed it with mustard. Then, I had tsubugai sashimi as a snack while sipping on cup sake. There are so many types of cup sake, and it's fun to explore new ones. Despite being busy in a tourist spot, the staff's customer service is kind and excellent. So, if you ever go to Omoide Yokocho, be sure to visit this place! ✌️

The restaurant offers over 50 carefully selected local sake cup options, and the menu mainly focuses on oden and cup sake. The place was bustling with a first and second floor. The staff were friendly, and I had a great time. It seemed like the second floor was more for group gatherings, while the first floor had a more casual atmosphere suitable for solo visitors. The oden was delicious and paired well with sake. I particularly enjoyed Hanpen. The cup sake I tried from Niigata, Ishikawa, and Mie prefectures were all tasty and served chilled. Next time, I might try to conquer all cup sake from around Japan! I visited this place as my second stop of the night and was already a bit tipsy, so I regret not being able to fully enjoy the sake. The menu is really to my liking. I was happy to see unusual items like cotton candy and mountain jellyfish. However, I came here on a cold day wanting to eat oden, but the oden was cold... Not just lukewarm, but actually cold... Did they forget to heat it up? It was disappointing. The taste was good, but eating cold oden on a cold day was not what I wanted... The daikon radish and ganmo were also cold. It felt like they had just taken them out of the fridge. The surface was soft, but just a few millimeters in, it was already cold... Disappointing experience.

We mainly focused on drinking, ordering a few oden dishes, marinated firefly squid, and marinated eggplant, along with drinks, which came to around 3000 yen. I drank more than 10 cups of highballs at Sumibitokemuri, so I was pretty drunk and decided to go to another place, Memory Lane. The atmosphere at Memory Lane was amazing! Even though I was already drunk, I found a bar that had a variety of cup sakes from all over Japan and couldn't resist going in. I ended up trying some sake, even though I had a bad feeling about it. We sat at the counter and cheers! The bar had a selection of one-cup sakes priced at 770 yen each. I chose a sake from Chiba (my hometown) and my friend chose one from Fukushima. We also ordered some food - Iburi Gakko cream cheese and Stingray fin. The prices were a bit high, but the food was delicious. I also ordered a large Lemon Sour for 825 yen. It was huge! My friend had a one-cup sake with a cute design. The bar was so much fun! I didn't get as drunk as last time, but I still ended up falling asleep on the train and missing my stop, so I had to turn back. Luckily, I made it home safely and even shared a taxi with my daughter who was coming back from Disneyland. I continued drinking at home and ended up with a hangover the next day. I really need to learn my limits!

I asked for ocha-wari (tea mixed with alcohol) as a chaser, and then had a bottle of sake, Nabeshima. It was a perfect combination. Omoide Yokocho is starting to get lively again! I'll be back!

I also ordered the pork intestine stew, which was delicious with tender meat and just the right seasoning. This place has a wide variety of sake from all over Japan. I was told I had to order at least one dish per person... I ordered edamame for 350 yen and pickled eggplant for 350 yen. I also had two beers, and of course, they charged for the appetizer...
