We had a reunion with members from our high school club and had a drinking party. The place is not that spacious, but it has an old-fashioned and cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious, but we were so engrossed in our conversations that we didn't pay much attention to it, which is a common occurrence at drinking parties. The atmosphere is great, making it the perfect place for a gathering with close friends.

For now, just as a reminder... It's been a while since I last visited Tanakaya!! Maybe around 10 years... It's still bustling as ever. I came here to meet a friend!! We ordered the Namako-su as a starter. Delicious... still delicious as ever... I took a bite of my friend's grilled salted Buri-kama... this is also delicious... It's frustrating, but I can't eat as much as before. I usually try not to think about it, but I can feel my age catching up... I really wanted to eat more, but my stomach was too full... Nevertheless, we had a great time. I wish I could have come here sooner, it's a great restaurant!!

It feels like a traditional izakaya. The fish is fresh, and they recommend their daily specials cooked in their recommended way! The atmosphere is great, not because of fancy decor, but because it feels like a familiar place. The counter has regulars, but it's also welcoming for solo diners. The fish is always delicious, and their skewers and fried dishes are surprisingly tasty too.
