This shop, produced by the travel magazine "Rurubu," handles delicious ingredients from all over Japan. It's like an antenna shop where you can help yourself, grab drinks and snacks from the fridge or shelves, inform the staff, and enjoy standing and drinking freely. There are also a few foldable chairs, so you can actually sit down, but it's mainly a self-service setup. The selection of famous sake available for just a coin is amazing! If you're unsure about the snack menu, the recommended choice is the "Let's Start with This!" set, which includes a snack assortment and a drink of your choice for ¥1000. With items like potato salad, konjac, pickled plums, Spam, and homemade roasted pork, along with onions from Awaji Island, the variety is satisfying. There are also monthly fair menus, with this month featuring "Awaji Island, Sumoto City." Dishes made with Awaji Island onions and branded meat "Ebisumochi pork" are plentiful. The Ebisumochi pork shumai for ¥600 is a fluffy, tender type with a hint of sweetness from the onions. It's steamed fresh in a steamer, so it takes about 15 minutes, so ordering early is recommended. The Ebisumochi pork simmered rice cake for ¥600 is generously filled with large pieces of simmered pork, making it a hearty dish. With two pieces, you can even take one home if dining alone. The Spam yakisoba for ¥800 is not just a snack but also a substantial meal option. Made with Okinawan specialty Spam, the salt yakisoba with slightly thicker noodles was to my liking. For a limited time, downloading the Rurubu app gets you a free glass of Japanese sake! I selected the local sake from Ehime, "Jukishin Junmai Daiginjo," which was refreshing and easily drinkable, earning a spot on my favorite sake list. The bright, cafe-like atmosphere makes it a place you'd want to visit alone. I'm looking forward to next month's fair menu!
