I learned about this restaurant from a friend, which has recently been renovated. They offer a daily selection of sashimi and a variety of grilled fish and yakitori, totaling 10 types including 7 kinds of fish. For an additional 600 yen, you can add oysters and lamb meat for dinner. Until the end of next month, they are also serving crab during their weekday buffet from 9:00 to 13:30. I arrived early and there were only a few groups there. The cost was 2800 yen paid in advance. The food is served in a square wooden box with dishes arranged inside. The menu includes thick grilled egg, tsukemono (pickles), Matsumae-zuke (pickled vegetables), homemade pickles, ikanago (sand lance) simmered in soy sauce, potato salad, tarako (cod roe), raw egg, natto, and more. The Matsumae-zuke is sticky with fish inside, while the ikanago has a unique flavor. The sashimi includes tuna, yellowtail, sea bream, salmon, and hokke (Okhotsk atka mackerel). The tuna is finely sliced, yellowtail has a nice flavor, sea bream is firm and satisfying, salmon is thickly cut, and hokke was a new experience for me. The crab, which includes legs and claws, is decent with a good amount of meat and moderate saltiness. However, the kitchen scissors provided were not sharp enough to cut the hard crab legs easily. The ikura (salmon roe) was slightly salty. The all-you-can-eat inari sushi, roll bread, chicken zangi, salmon zangi, jumbo frankfurter, and fried potato were a good deal, but I couldn't eat much of them. The zangi was a bit hard, while the frankfurter was tasty. The fried potato had a sweet skin and a familiar taste. The rice was Nanatsuboshi brand, and the miso soup was made with Yakumo miso and contained plenty of fish bones for a flavorful broth. The grilled items were ordered directly from the staff and took about 10 minutes to prepare. The sea bream was the collar part, salmon was the belly, kampachi was small but delicious when grilled, mackerel was slightly overcooked, and the hokke was small and easy to eat. The drinks available were milk, green tea, hojicha (roasted green tea), apple juice, and coffee. The glasses were small. I completely forgot about the curry, grilled meat, and soft serve ice cream. The 60 minutes flew by quickly. As a special offer, they gave me a 1000 yen meal voucher to use within September.
