In Fukuoka's Chuo Ward, a new store has opened - Imo Pippi. I visited around 3 PM on a weekday and there were only a few customers, so no waiting. Their specialty is the 3-month aged sweet potato with a sugar content of over 50 degrees. They offer various sweet potato dishes like baked sweet potato, honey butter baked sweet potato, creme brulee baked sweet potato, and sweet potato ice cream. However, the most popular item is the 1mm thread-like purple sweet potato with ice cream for 1300 yen. It's quite impressive and flavorful with a generous portion. It's definitely worth trying as a special treat once in a while.

There used to be Imo Pipi in Osaka, but it disappeared somehow. I was surprised to find it in Fukuoka. I ordered the Mont Blanc-like purple sweet potato ice cream and the roasted sweet potato brulee. We took turns tasting each one, and they were both delicious without a doubt.
