Delicious food, lively conversation, and sorry for the lack of photos. I wonder if it's okay to come back alone? It's a cozy izakaya with a wide menu and a variety of drinks. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making it a favorite spot in Kabukicho!

Visited the second place. A great restaurant with no unnecessary cover charge and accepts cash payment. Started with a Mega Highball. Ordered burdock chips, chicken tataki, eggplant with cheese, and grilled whole squid as snacks. The chicken tataki was delicious with grated daikon and ponzu sauce. The burdock chips were also tasty. Had another Highball. The total bill came to 4,000 yen with change returned. Very cheap. A conscience restaurant even in Kabukicho. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a restaurant in Kabukicho, the best entertainment district in Japan, on a Tuesday at 7:30 pm. I was too scared to stay for long and quickly left, but I wanted to have a drink in Golden Gai so I ended up wandering around. I decided to enter this restaurant because it looked like I could have a drink here. I ordered a small sashimi plate for 980 yen (limited to one person), sautéed black cod for 650 yen, three draft beers (Premium Malt) for 530 yen each, and a lemon sour for 490 yen. Considering the location, I think the prices were reasonable. There was nothing particularly special about the food, but the staff was really nice. The owner and the employees were friendly and engaging, which made me feel comfortable enough to have four drinks. I could tell that they put a lot of effort into running the restaurant, dealing with various regulations and challenges from the government and the city. Despite the difficulties, they seemed to have a genuine passion for what they do, and I believe they will continue to thrive as a business.

The other day, I heard that a izakaya I occasionally visit started serving set meals, so I decided to stop by after a long time. I ordered the chicken ginger set meal. It came with a generous portion of chicken, salad, miso soup, tomato stewed chicken, unlimited cabbage, and rolled omelette. The taste was delicious and the rice went down smoothly. And the best part is, it only cost 720 yen, which was surprisingly cheap! The cost performance was great and I was very satisfied. I will definitely visit again!

Today, I went drinking in Shinjuku with my older sister. First round of drinks before meeting up, gotta do it right! I visited this new place around 6pm on a holiday. When I entered and said I was alone, I was directed to a seat at the back of the counter, even though there were no other customers. I started with a premium malt beer for 490 yen (excluding tax) and ordered the chicken tataki for 390 yen from the quick appetizer menu. I also ordered a small sashimi assortment for 880 yen from what seemed to be the owner. It was supposed to be 4 types, 2 pieces each, a perfect way to test the skills of this fish-focused restaurant. The beer and chicken tataki arrived quickly. The sashimi assortment came in less than 10 minutes. The chicken tataki was covered in grated ponzu sauce, which was delightful. The sashimi assortment consisted of tuna, squid, sea bream, and perhaps a yellowtail? Each piece was small and thin, but the seared yellowtail had a nice flavor. The overall impression was that it was decent for the price. I ordered an additional glass of Nagasaki Maruyama sake for 580 yen. It was a rare sake from a 300-year-old brewery at the western edge of Japan, but it tasted like a typical sake you would find at an all-you-can-drink place. The staff, including the owner, engaged in small talk, but it was nothing special. The background music was non-stop B'z songs, which might be a hit for fans. Overall, this fish-focused restaurant offers a drink and food for a reasonable price, with no cover charge. The fish was decent for the price, and the menu had some affordable options. The location was quite convenient, and the restaurant seemed to be making an effort. It was a decent dining experience.

Today, I was invited by friends to a year-end party and came here for the first time. It's located right in the middle of Kabukicho, near the old Komagata Theater. Kabukicho has changed a lot. We started with a toast with beer and then ordered some sake. They have a variety of premium sake like 14th generation, Tan sake, and Dassai. A small serving of the 14th generation sake was 1100 yen! The appetizers, like the assorted sashimi, were reasonably priced and sourced from a fisherman friend from Goto, Nagasaki, who is also the manager from Nagasaki. The ankimo (monkfish liver), chikuzenni (simmered chicken and vegetables), and shirako (cod milt) were all delicious. I can end the year without forgetting to have shirako and ankimo. Thank you for the meal!

As I was wandering around Kabukicho looking for a bar, I came across a very intriguing sign that read "Uo Uoya" (Fish Fish Shop). I thought to myself, "Fish must be delicious here," and decided to go in. The interior of the restaurant was spacious, with both sunken kotatsu seats and regular table seating available. I was surprised by the pricing - could the food really be this cheap and good? Since I came for the fish, I ordered the recommended sashimi platter. It looked so delicious and it tasted amazing! When I asked the staff, I found out that the fish is directly sourced from the Goto Islands by local fishermen. That's why the sashimi is both affordable and tasty! It was incredibly fresh and delicious. I think this place would be great for various occasions like work gatherings. I will definitely go back again!

I went to a Japanese restaurant near TOHO Cinemas, about a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station East Exit, with two friends on a weekday night around 7 pm. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, so we were able to relax at a table. We ordered the following dishes: - Assorted sashimi platter from Uogoka (2-3 servings) for 950 yen - Salmon simmered dish for 580 yen - Gindara simmered dish (simmered dish) for 480 yen - Tuna deep-fried with ponzu sauce for 380 yen The salmon simmered dish was amazing! It was well simmered, so the salmon melted in the mouth, and there was no excess fat, allowing the flavor to spread. The assorted sashimi platter was delicious, and the portion was good, so I felt it was reasonable. Even though we drank quite a bit of alcohol, the bill was less than 3,000 yen per person.

The other day, we stopped by on our way back from the beach trip! We arrived around 8 o'clock and the place was almost full, showing that it's a popular spot! We managed to get a seat and ordered sashimi, simmered fish, fried chicken, and a large highball for a toast! The sashimi was fresh, the simmered fish was flavorful, and the fried chicken was crispy and delicious! We will definitely visit again!

I went to the restaurant at a relatively late hour, so it was empty inside. When I ordered the sashimi platter, it came out very quickly. It seemed like it had been pre-cut or something because of how fast it was. The overall quality was disappointing, as it looked like leftover sashimi from a supermarket and was a bit wilted.

It is located in a narrow alley in Kabukicho. There are many shops in narrow alleys in Kabukicho. This time, I was taken there by an acquaintance and we toasted with bottled beer at Uo Uo-ya. It was well chilled and delicious! Then, I was recommended a shochu and the service was polite. There were plenty of rice dishes and snacks, and they were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, I visited an izakaya that I had been curious about for a while with 5 friends in Kabukicho! The interior of the restaurant was clean and the food and drinks were cheap! The sashimi platter, which usually costs around 2000 yen at chain restaurants, was only 980 yen here, a real bargain! Everything was delicious, so I will definitely visit again!

On this day, I decided to have a drink with a friend in Kabukicho. We went to this place that I had heard was known for delicious fish. The location is right in the middle of Kabukicho, just two streets over from the iconic Godzilla statue at the Shinjuku Toho Building, towards the City Hall side. If you enter the alley between the Tatenavi Building, where many host clubs and cabaret clubs are located, and the Tanuki Sakaba, you will find it on your left. We ordered: - Draft Beer @490 (Premium Malt's) - Assorted Sashimi @950 (for 2-3 people) - Gameni (Chikuzen stew) @480 - Potato Salad @280 - Chicken Tataki @380 (November special 1.5x portion) - Crab Cream Croquette @480 - Highball @360 - Sake Matsunemine no Fuji half serving @390 The interior of the restaurant has a long counter and tables on the other side of the aisle. We were seated at a table near the entrance, as we were one of the first customers on a Sunday. The Gameni stew was unexpectedly delicious, bursting with the flavors of the simmered vegetables. It had been a while since I had enjoyed a stew this much. The restaurant had a popularity ranking of their menu items, and the Gameni stew was ranked number one, which I completely agreed with. The sashimi platter was also tasty, with a good amount for the price. We also ordered the Chicken Tataki and the Crab Cream Croquette, both of which were delicious. Despite the slightly shady atmosphere of Kabukicho, this restaurant was a great find and I would definitely visit again.

After leaving Shinjuku Station and reaching Godzilla Road, I entered a quaint alleyway lined with traditional eel restaurants, yakitori shops, yakiniku places, ramen shops, and izakayas. Among them, I chose the restaurant with a blue sign called "Fish Fish House." The restaurant had around 7-8 seats at the counter, about 20 table seats, and around 15 sunken kotatsu seats. The drink prices were quite reasonable, with Premium Malt for 450 yen and Highball for 360 yen. They also had a wide selection of sake, including the premium Juyondai for only 1100 yen per cup, which was cheaper than at a liquor store. The fish was sourced regularly from a fisherman friend in the Goto Islands in Nagasaki. Most dishes were homemade and priced at 280 yen, 380 yen, or 480 yen. Even a sashimi platter that could easily cost around 2000 yen was only 950 yen. We visited with three people and were pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to spend more than 3000 yen each. I definitely want to come back again.

Two male friends were wandering around Shinjuku. They started at this place at 6 pm! They have a wide variety of drinks, including sake, but we decided to go with Tamano Hikari sake. There were plenty of fish dishes, so we had sashimi and about three types of yakitori. It was surprising to find such a calm atmosphere in Kabukicho, it really helped us relax. The food was also good, so we decided to move on to the next sake bar. We realized we should stop drinking too much, so we switched to shochu highballs. For the third round at 10:30 pm, we came back to the same place! It was quite crowded, which was surprising. We settled down and finished the night with plum tea and miso soup to share with my girlfriend (it was just the two of us for the third round).

He went for a massage so I went to the restaurant first by myself. First, I ordered sashimi and maguro ponzu. It was delicious. Too delicious. And it's only 180 yen now!!!!! Σ(゚∀゚ノ)ノ Kyaa~ Of course, I ordered seconds. Then, when my friend and he joined, we had burdock chips, grilled vegetables, half of hokke fish, deep-fried whole garlic, assorted pickles, boiled peanuts, today's special asparagus bacon, garlic soy sauce stir-fried eringi mushrooms, and goya champuru. My stomach is so full. (。ŏ﹏ŏ) Everything was delicious! Thank you for the meal. (I realized after almost finishing eating that I only took a picture of the burdock chips (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`))

I used it for a drinking party with friends on Saturday. The interior of the restaurant is compact, with counter seats and table seats. There is also a semi-private room. We were seated at the counter, where there is a TV and it seems like you can enjoy drinking alone as well. There are shelves under the counter and baskets under the chairs to store your belongings, which is reassuring. We started with a toast with beer. The sashimi platter was delicious with thick slices. The sweet shrimp was especially delicious. On the other hand, the sea bream was disappointing. The simmered dish called "game-ni" is a recommended menu item. It is a simmered dish with chicken and vegetables. The vegetables are large and satisfying to eat. It tasted good. Boiled peanuts (forgot to take a photo) were a good chopstick rest. The grilled turnip (forgot to take a photo) had the right amount of salt and a firm texture, and it was delicious. The rolled omelette (forgot to take a photo) had an average taste, nothing special. I switched from beer to Kuro Kirishima shochu. The water used for the watered-down shochu was tap water. There were two female waitresses. Their somewhat curt response was disappointing. Since there were no young people, I think it's a good place to relax and drink. Thank you for the meal.
