Today's lunch was at a soba restaurant called "Karahenki" located near Shin-Kanoka Station on the Midosuji Line in Sakai City, Kita Ward. I arrived early and wrote my name on the waiting board outside before waiting in my car. When the restaurant opened, I was called in and had to take off my shoes and change into slippers. They offered thin or thick soba noodles, with the option for extra noodles. The broth choices included walnut, grated yam, and spicy daikon radish. I ordered: - Thin soba noodles (cold) with walnut broth for 930 yen - Assorted tempura for 390 yen - Soba rice with side dishes for 220 yen Total: 1540 yen (tax included). I chose the normal portion as I'm not a fan of extra noodles. I went with the walnut broth. The soba chips they served while waiting were crispy and perfectly salted. The thin soba noodles arrived shortly after, looking shiny and beautiful. They were thin yet had a good chewiness and a smooth texture. The walnut broth was delicious, with finely crushed walnuts that coated the noodles well. It was sweet, fragrant, and incredibly tasty. The assorted tempura included one prawn and three types of vegetables, all large and crispy. The soba rice was light and tasty. Even the pickles were delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic meal. There is a coin parking nearby, and if you use the affiliated parking, you get a 100 yen discount. On a side note, this restaurant is operated by the father of the comedian duo "Saraba Seishun no Hikari" member, Morita.

I have been curious about "Karakuriki" for a while. First of all, the parking lot is hard to find, so I recommend checking the photos beforehand to understand the location. There is only space for one car and it is almost impossible to park, so I recommend using the Peasy NB Parking Shinkanaoka-cho. For those using the paid parking lot, there is a discount of ¥100 with a parking ticket (1 hour free ¥200, Peasy NB Parking Shinkanaoka-cho). The waiting area in the restaurant is very small, so it can only accommodate 3-4 people at most. I arrived on Saturday around 1:10 pm and had to wait for about 10 minutes before being seated. I ordered the finely ground soba noodles (special large portion ¥1,380) and the assorted tempura (¥580) because soba noodles alone were not enough. The tempura assortment (2 prawns, 2 green beans, lotus root, pumpkin, eggplant) was a nice addition. If it's not crowded, I would like to visit this restaurant again. Thank you very much.

Touhenboku Located in Osaka, Sakai City, in the Kitaku district, in the Shinkanoka-cho area, this restaurant offers finely ground soba noodles (zaru) and assorted tempura. The restaurant is run by the parents of Morita, a member of the comedy duo "Savanna." The atmosphere is like a renovated row house, and it is situated near the fountain at Oizumi Green Park. Despite heading there promptly, the restaurant was already full. The meal started with soba chips as an appetizer, followed by delicious authentic soba noodles and crispy tempura. If you park at the designated nearby parking lot, you can receive a free one-hour parking ticket. I would love to visit again!

I had always wanted to visit the soba restaurant run by Morita-san's parents from the band Sambomaster, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the soba was. The walnut sauce was also tasty and I finished it in no time. The coarse-ground soba is limited, so if you want to try it, it's best to visit around 11 am and write your name on the waiting list. I first tried the coarse-ground soba with salt, then with wasabi, and finally with soba dipping sauce. The flavor of the soba really stood out and I'm glad I went. I would love to go back again.

When I visited for lunch, there was one group ahead of me waiting. I waited for over 20 minutes, but they immediately brought out some snacks and buckwheat tea. I asked the staff for advice while ordering. I chose the "Coarse-ground buckwheat noodle comparison of two kinds" with walnut broth and spicy radish. Since there were two kinds, the staff recommended a 1.5 times portion, which I followed. I was full, but I think the 1.5 times portion was the right choice for the balance of broth and noodles. Most other customers ordered the small tempura assortment, which was freshly fried and very delicious. I would like to visit again. It was delicious.

I felt like having walnut soba, so I came to this restaurant. I visited on Sunday at 11:45 and there were about 10 people waiting. I signed my name on the waiting board. It seems to be a popular place. I entered at 12:30. You can sit and wait in the waiting area near the entrance. I placed my order there. The coarse-ground soba was sold out, so I ordered the fine-ground walnut soba and a mixed tempura with 2 prawns. Shortly after, I was guided to my table. The interior of the restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere. They served cold soba tea and soba chips first. The soba chips were light and easy to eat, making me hungry. Then, the walnut soba arrived. I'm not familiar with soba, but it looked shiny and delicious. And the walnut dipping sauce - my first time trying walnut sauce. The finely ground walnut sauce spread a walnut flavor in my mouth as I ate. There were also roughly crushed walnuts in it, adding a nice texture. The tempura - 2 prawns with green beans, eggplant, pumpkin, and lotus root. It was served with salt, not dipping sauce. By 1:00, it seemed like they had sold out for the waiting customers. Next time, I want to try the coarse-ground soba. Thank you for the meal.

Here is a review of the delicious soba noodles at the home of Mr. Morita from "Saraba Seishun no Hikari." I was planning to try the walnut soba noodles, which are popular, but since it was cold, I decided to switch to hot soba noodles. I ordered the grated yam soba noodles (hot) with a tempura assortment, as well as the duck nanba with a tempura assortment. The grated yam soba noodles are served with warm soba sauce and eaten with wasabi. The tempura assortment is enjoyed with salted green tea. The duck nanba has a delicious broth. I would like to try the duck nanba next time. I had delicious New Year's soba noodles. Thank you for the meal.

- Comparison of Coarse-ground Buckwheat Noodles (with walnut, grated yam, and spicy daikon): Walnut and spicy daikon for 100 yen - Assorted Tempura: 390 yen (1 shrimp, 3 types of vegetables) The walnut dipping sauce was a unique and delicious flavor. There are about 12 seats including the counter and tables, and it was quickly full right after opening on weekdays.

I finally had the chance to visit a soba restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. The store looks like it was renovated from a traditional Japanese house. The stylish interior has dim lighting. Upon entering, I changed into slippers and sat at a table. I came for their specialty walnut soba, and had the option to choose between walnut-based dipping sauce or regular spicy broth for the cold soba. The walnut-based sauce was rich and flavorful, with a sophisticated nutty taste adding depth to the flavor. It was my first time trying soba with walnut sauce, and it was definitely worth it. I ordered the "thinly ground zaru soba" and tried both the walnut dipping sauce and the regular spicy broth. The soba noodles were meticulously made and had a great texture. It's a rare find to have such high-quality soba in Sakai. I also ordered tempura, which was decent but nothing special. The cost performance was good. I feel like I got a little lucky discovering such a good soba restaurant nearby. Thank you for the meal.

Atmosphere: The space has a dim atmosphere. Cost performance: ★★★★★ (Excellent) Budget: ¥1500 Key Points: - Rare walnut broth was impressive. - Only open for about 3 hours during the day. - The restaurant is owned by the father of a certain comedian. - Soba chips (free) are served as tea snacks, which are elegant and delicious. - Fine-ground soba comparison set (¥1000) allows you to choose two out of walnut broth, grated yam, and spicy radish broth. The walnut broth was the highlight, and it was surprisingly delicious. The crushed walnuts added a unique texture to the noodles, and the overall taste was beyond expectation. - The noodles had a smooth texture and a good firmness, typical of fine-ground soba. Overall, the restaurant, owned by the father of a well-known comedian, was incredibly delicious. Visit my Instagram for more selected restaurant reviews in Osaka focusing on cost performance. I feel like I haven't posted much about soba noodles. It's not that I don't like them. I actually really like them. But when it comes to actually going out to eat soba, I just don't feel like it very often. I do have some places in mind that I want to try though. One of the places I've been keeping an eye on is Karabokki. It's a restaurant near Oizumi Green Park. I didn't know this, but they have a parking lot. The seating is limited, so it tends to get crowded quickly. I've actually had to give up twice because of the long line. Luckily, on this day, there was one seat available at the counter so I was able to sit down. The menu looks like this. While waiting, you can enjoy some soba tea and soba sweets. These soba sweets are really delicious. Makes me feel like having some sake. I ordered the "fine ground soba comparison" for 970 yen. The difference between 940 yen and 970 yen is that the 970 yen option includes grated radish in the dipping sauce. The soba noodles look beautiful. The dipping sauce includes walnut sauce and regular dipping sauce with grated radish. The walnut sauce seems to be their specialty. The chopstick rest is cute. Let's start by trying the soba noodles on their own. The texture is firm and the flavor of the soba is really pronounced. It's been a while since I've had soba noodles with such a strong flavor. It's really delicious. Next, I'll try the regular dipping sauce with grated radish. The broth is quite rich, but the grated radish adds a nice kick, making it very easy to eat. Now, time to try the walnut sauce. The walnut flavor is strong! The crunchy walnuts and nutty aroma go really well with the soba noodles. It's even more delicious than I imagined. Both options are of excellent quality. Just as I finish eating, the soba broth arrives. I could drink the walnut soba broth while sitting on the veranda, watching the snow falling through the glass. It's so soothing. Mixing it with the regular broth is also amazing. I'm completely satisfied until the end. The chef of this restaurant is actually the father of a comedian from Saraba Seishun no Hikari. A fan from Nagoya came to eat here on the same day. The service was polite and pleasant, and the taste was outstanding. It was a really great restaurant. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I finally got to visit a cozy restaurant that I had been eyeing for a while. I ordered the duck soup soba. To be a bit critical, the soup was a little on the salty side. However, you could tell that they put effort into their soba, and overall it was delicious!

Curry Auntie, sometimes have soba noodles. I happened to be working nearby so I dropped by here. I didn't know until just before, but this place seems to be the family restaurant of the comedian "Saraba Seishun no Hikari" Morita (the one without any scandals). Oh, I see. I'm not very knowledgeable about soba noodles, so I went with the recommendation of the older sister at the shop. Coarse ground, walnut, grated yam. Tempura. I think just the walnut would have been enough. It was delicious. However, unfortunately, I am a taste fool. I can't really tell the difference between good and bad soba noodles. Anyway, it was delicious! Thank you for the meal. PayPay is accepted. The bill was 1,610 yen.

In Osaka, there is a soba restaurant on the left-hand side when you go straight towards Shin-Kanaoka Station from the entrance with a fountain at Sakai, Oizumi Green Park. It is located in a residential area. I didn't realize it was there, even though I passed by quite often. They serve cold soba tea, which is delicious. The soba snacks they serve as appetizers were tasty. I tried the unusual walnut soba. The soba itself doesn't seem to have walnuts kneaded into it, but there are small walnut pieces in the dipping sauce. The soba is well-chilled and slightly sweet, even when eaten without any toppings. It has a good chewy texture, with the walnut pieces adding a nutty and savory flavor to it. The dipping sauce with walnuts gives a slightly oily and cheesy sensation (based on personal opinion). They also serve soba broth upon request, which is slightly thick and delicious.

I had lunch at a Xi'an cuisine restaurant, then parked my bicycle again and went to the next door restaurant immediately for a second meal. I hope no one saw me, right? The exterior of the restaurant looked like a fake soba shop, so I was a bit embarrassed. But it turned out to be a proper soba restaurant, which surprised me. They have counter seats for solo diners, which made me feel comfortable. I carefully checked the menu, and there was a soba dish with walnuts for 870 yen (tax included). I ordered it without asking if the walnuts were mixed into the soba or served in the dipping sauce. The result was... well, as expected, the walnuts were mixed into the dipping sauce and served on top of the soba. When I tried it, I was pleasantly surprised! The combination worked well, adding a nice flavor to the simple soba. Although it was a bit difficult to judge the quality of the soba itself, the combination of ingredients was great! Can you replicate this at home? It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

The son-in-law of Aratakanoka took me to this restaurant because he had eaten there with his friends and it was delicious! It is located near Oizumi Ryokuchi park and many residential areas. The restaurant looks like a normal house without any signs outside. Inside, there are a few counter seats and three table seats. It's a popular place as customers kept coming even after lunchtime. We started with soba chips and soba tea, both delicious. We ordered the limited edition thin-cut soba and a mixed tempura plate. The soba was perfect with its texture, aroma, and smoothness. The tempura was crispy and tasty, especially the shrimp. A great soba restaurant worth visiting! Delicious meal, thank you!

Last time, I forgot to take photos and I visited because I wanted to eat soba after a long time. The soba shop had a calming background music. I had hand-made soba, duck broth zaru soba, and a 6-piece tempura assortment. The soba noodles had a great texture. Everything was delicious. However, I wished they had provided dipping sauce for the tempura in addition to the matcha salt. Thank you for the meal.

I haven't really been to a proper soba restaurant before. I don't have much knowledge about it, and it always seemed a bit intimidating to me... I looked it up and found a nice-looking place nearby, so I decided to visit. Shin-Kanaoka. Go east on the road between Resona Bank and Frespo? It's just before Oizumi Green Park. It looks like an old folk house. When you open the sliding door, there is an entrance where you take off your shoes and go upstairs. To the left is a counter like a bathhouse reception, the register. Beyond that is the kitchen. There were two groups of two customers ahead of us. We were seated at a two-person table. I ordered zaru soba and a mixed tempura set (1 shrimp, 3 vegetables). Soba tea and fried soba snacks were served. Crunchy and delicious... so good. After a short wait, the soba arrived. It had a special fragrance! I can't really describe it, but it was delicious. The soba had a smooth texture. The tempura included shrimp, green beans, eggplant, and pumpkin, served with matcha salt. After finishing the meal, soba broth was served. Soba broth... Is this supposed to be tasty? Or is it nutritious? I don't know, but I drank it anyway. Next time, I want to try the coarse-ground soba. Thank you for the meal. There was a waitlist of two groups of two at the entrance. It's a popular place, isn't it?

About a 10-minute walk from Shinkanoaka Station, in a residential area slightly away from the station, there is a soba restaurant called Karahengeki. The entrance door is a bit difficult to open, but once inside, you'll find a traditional interior. They offer both thin and thick soba noodles on the menu, which is exciting. I ordered a comparison of the two types of soba noodles. While waiting, I enjoyed some crispy soba crackers. I also ordered a comparison of dipping sauces, walnut sauce and grated yam sauce. The walnut sauce had a smooth texture similar to sesame sauce but with less of a distinctive taste. The soba noodles, especially the thick ones, had a fragrant aroma and a taste that can be enjoyed with just a touch of salt. It was a rare treat to have proper soba noodles in Sakai. I will definitely visit again.

I wanted to have a light lunch, so I came here to have some soba noodles. It seems to be quite popular. There were already a few people waiting a few minutes before the opening. I'm glad I made a reservation. I ordered the soba noodles tasting set (1100 yen) with two types of soba, fine ground and coarse ground, and the dipping sauce with bonito flavor is also delicious. First, I tried the fine ground soba, the texture is good and you can taste the sweetness of the soba (^-^) After finishing that, I tried the coarse ground soba. Of course, they are completely different in color, thickness, flavor, and taste (゚-゚) Personally, I liked both, but I enjoy comparing flavors, so it was a fun and delicious lunch! Soba noodles seem to be quite deep. The photo only shows the fine ground soba as I accidentally deleted the one with coarse ground soba.

There is a person who knows that having udon, curry, tonkatsu, ramen, and Chinese food for lunch on a rotation is bad for their body, but they can't stop themselves. Today, they decided to try something different and went to a soba restaurant in Sakai while on a business trip. The exterior of the restaurant has a cool vibe, making you excited to eat soba. Upon entering, there is a place to take off your shoes and a counter where you pay, resembling a traditional Japanese bathhouse. The kitchen can be seen from inside. The restaurant seems to be renovated from a traditional Japanese house or a row house. Inside, there is a small counter and tables in the back, creating a cozy atmosphere. The person ordered the "Luxurious Soba Set (thinly ground and coarsely ground soba noodles with two dipping sauces - walnut and spicy daikon radish) for ¥1,230. While waiting, they enjoyed some salted soba noodles and soba tea. The first to arrive was the thinly ground soba noodles, which were short in length due to being hand-made, but had a great flavor. They first tried it with the spicy daikon radish, and then with the walnut dipping sauce. The walnut sauce was rich and flavorful, blending perfectly with the simple soba noodles. The owner kindly brought soba water after the meal, and the person mentioned their experience with walnut soba in Chichibu, Saitama. The owner seemed to be familiar with walnut soba in Chichibu and Shinshu soba with walnut sauce. Although the person hasn't visited many soba restaurants in Osaka, they felt that the walnut soba here is unique and not easily found in Osaka. They are looking forward to trying the duck tsukemen soba next time.
