Today is Saturday. I came with a close friend to Uemachi. As we walked from High High Town towards the direction of Tanimachi 9-chome, we found a standout traditional Japanese restaurant in a small alley. Its name is Tenhan. I believe there is a famous tempura restaurant with the same name in Tokyo. When we entered and told the staff there were two of us, they said they were just about to stop taking orders. It was disappointing! However, we were able to place our order after speaking to the kitchen staff. Thank you for accommodating us. We were led from the entrance to a table in the dining hall. We quickly looked at the menu, which included options like Gomasuki ramen sets, sashimi bento boxes, tempura, sushi and tempura, and eel dishes. I decided on the tempura bento box, while my companion chose the sushi and tempura bento box. After a while, our sets arrived on a large square tray. The set included rice on the left, miso soup at the back, the main tempura dish in the middle, onion salad at the back, two small side dishes below, tempura dipping sauce and pickles in front. We started with the onion slice salad, which was crunchy and refreshing. The tuna dish in one of the small side dishes was moist and tasty. Moving on to the tempura, we first tried a green leafy vegetable, followed by mushrooms, then Nasu (Japanese eggplant) and kabocha (Japanese pumpkin). The tempura was crispy and flavorful. We then tackled the two prawns, enjoying the burst of flavor in our mouths. The rice was firm and had a good texture. The miso soup had a unique and delicious taste. Overall, it was a fantastic tempura lunch experience. Thank you for the meal.

I was able to adjust various settings on the PC for free, and the president took me out to lunch! We went to a well-established restaurant, and I enjoyed a sashimi set meal. The #sushi and tempura set meal for 1650 yen was great. I also added the #gomoku ramen for 880 yen, which had soft and unique noodles. I was looking for a place in the Uehommachi area where I could have a leisurely lunch meeting in a private room, and I decided to try Tenhan for the first time. The private room was just as I had imagined, calm and relaxing, and I was able to use it for about 3 hours. The lunch in the private room starts from around 3,000 yen, which is a bit on the higher side, but considering the location, it's reasonable. I had the Ruri course, which was like a mini kaiseki meal with each dish carefully prepared, and it was delicious. I would like to use this place again when I want to have a relaxed conversation.

The restaurant had a calm atmosphere, and we were able to have a leisurely conversation in a private room. The staff were polite and we enjoyed the delicious food. The dishes were light and the portion size was just right. There was also a wide variety of drinks available.

I was taken to Tenpou for lunch at a long-established traditional restaurant in Kamihoncho. I had the sashimi set meal, which was very delicious, and the relaxed atmosphere at the table was also nice. Although dinner can be expensive, the lunch menu offers good value for the quality of food, so I highly recommend it.

I had always been curious about Tenhan-san, and since the portions seemed generous, I ordered the sashimi set meal. As you can see, it looks luxurious. Each piece of sashimi was delicious! There's nothing more to say, it's a perfect score. When I'm in the mood for Japanese food, I'll definitely come here. (^^)

Tani 9 is a well-traveled street, but not many people know about this long-established restaurant because it's located off the main north-south road. The entrance is down a small alley, with a large koi fish swimming around. This is a restaurant located between Ue Honmachi Station and Tanimachi Kyuchome Station. Forget the hustle and bustle, relax with friends in a private room for lunch. Time flows leisurely here. Despite being a traditional Japanese restaurant, the menu is reasonably priced. I didn't make the reservation or order, as I left it all to my friend, so I'm not very familiar with the details. If you want to have a good conversation with someone special, this is a great place. The food was quite good. Great value for the price!

This time I entered from the east side, but it seems that the main entrance is on the west side. Both entrances have a similar gate structure. The wet towel here has a strong fragrance, like air freshener. As for the food, the sashimi is thick, fresh, and delicious, but the tempura and other dishes are at the level of a business hotel lunch. The exterior has a traditional Japanese restaurant atmosphere, but the interior space feels more like a modern yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurant. The servers have the demeanor of traditional Japanese waitstaff, and somehow a sense of luxury can be felt.

In the fourth block of Tanimachi, there is a traditional Japanese restaurant called Tenhan. I love how easy it is to casually enter this restaurant. The dishes are beautifully presented, providing a satisfying visual experience. Not only that, the food is delicious as well. Honestly, it's not completely terrible, but it's not particularly delicious either. It's just average and feels a bit overpriced. I didn't feel satisfied. There's nothing particularly bad about it though. The value for money is not great. I didn't feel compelled to come back. The ramen was the only thing that was somewhat tasty.

I made a reservation for a private room, but later received a call saying that I might be seated on the first floor instead. I declined and insisted on the private room. When I arrived, I was directed to the first floor and asked if that was okay. It was not ideal, but since I was already there, I had no choice. If they had no intention of seating me in a private room, they should have suggested cancelling or not offering it in the first place. Despite the rough start, the service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. The teppanyaki lacked a nice sear due to weak fuel power, which was disappointing. However, I would like to make another reservation and visit again. Thank you for the meal.

The kaiseki lunch was delicious. The Japanese cuisine was gentle on the stomach. Going up the stairs to the second floor, there were private rooms separated by sliding doors.
