Izakaya Kotohuki Wara-ten Theme: Gourmet - Southern Osaka City - Near Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line Yata Station Kotohuki Wara-ten is located just a short walk from Yata Station. The entrance is small, but once you step inside, you'll be surprised by how spacious it is. It was quite busy. Yata... It's relatively close, but I had never heard of it before. I'd like to explore it more in the future. (´∀｀) Even though it's an izakaya, they don't offer all-you-can-drink menus. The food was also quite expensive. The staff were a bit pushy. The photo accidentally captured a cheap menu item. Potato fry salad, mentaiko sticks, and the staff recommended cheese tonkatsu. On the right is shrimp fry. This cost 800 yen. We also had dried fish, spare ribs, and many other dishes, but they were all quite blurry (laughs). ★★★☆☆

Yata Station, there is a shop with a water wheel object on the right side when you walk straight west. After putting your shoes in the shoe box, there are counter seats along the narrow path, and a spacious table at the back. The menu offers a wide variety of izakaya-style fried foods and side dishes, as well as a rich selection of alcoholic beverages. There were also many recommendations for today. The shop is popular with couples and families, making it easy to enter. I think it is safe for women to enter alone. The mama is petite, energetic, and a cute sister who moves around a lot. She is friendly and talks to both regulars and newcomers.

I used the lunch service. The grilled salted mackerel set meal was good with rice and side dishes, and the price was reasonable. While enjoying the lunch service, I also had a look at the evening izakaya menu. I was impressed by the variety and number of dishes. The counter had a calming atmosphere, and there were both single dining seats and private rooms in the back, making it quite convenient. The lunch service is also convenient as there is a coin parking nearby.

I was a little curious, so I decided to go. I wasn't sure what the inside of the restaurant was like, and I had three little kids with me, so I wasn't sure if it would be okay to go. But it turned out that the inside was surprisingly spacious! The entrance led to a long narrow space, and at the back, there was a wide tatami seating area. The exterior of the restaurant was unique, and the inside was stylish, but it had a calm atmosphere where you could relax and eat. The customers were lively and it had a fun vibe. The food was not just fancy, there were a variety of dishes from fish to offal to fried chicken. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, not only taking care of tipsy customers but also being attentive to the kids. People of all ages and genders, from students to older folks, could enjoy the place, and even families with children could feel comfortable dining there. It was a great place to eat and drink. I will definitely go back!
