The bonito tataki was exquisite! I was amazed by how delicious raw bonito tataki can be! I highly recommend eating it with rock salt! The complimentary chawanmushi also had bonito in it! I will definitely visit again!

During the day, the topic of bonito tataki came up, and I couldn't help but crave it, remembering the same restaurant. I made a reservation at 5:30 pm, and when I entered the restaurant, I was the first one there at this time. I sat down, ordered a beer, and then ordered the bonito tataki, tempura, and pickled myoga that I was looking for. The tataki, claiming to be from Tosa, had a thick, smoky flavor from being grilled over straw. The simple style of eating it with just salt was similar to the bonito tataki I had in Kochi. Delicious! While the other dishes were not outstanding, they were consistently good. It's a shame that the casual and sloppy customer service doesn't match the quality of the dishes that clearly follow the concept of Tosa Kochi. I had 5-6 drinks, enjoyed all these dishes, and yet the bill of 5,500 yen per person was reasonable. If you want to casually enjoy authentic Kochi bonito tataki, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

I lived in Kochi for 2 and a half years, so I enjoyed some authentic Kochi cuisine after a long time. I was impressed by the thick cut of bonito sashimi and the delicious yellowtail sashimi. The alcohol selection included typical Kochi drinks like "Senchuhassaku" and "Dabadahifuri". They also had soft drinks like "Konatsu" and "Buntan" juice, which made me happy. However, the drinks were diluted by a large amount of ice, which was the only disappointing part!

I was taken to lunch by a senior for the first time. It was my first time trying straw-grilled food at this renowned restaurant in Tosa. It seems to be very popular as the yellowtail was already sold out by the time we arrived for lunch at 12:30. I'm not a fan of bonito, but the chicken seemed to have a generous portion, so I opted for the bonito. It was so fresh and had a pleasant aroma without being too strong. Each slice was thick and satisfying to eat. The soy sauce and broth available for purchase in the store were also appealing, and the traditional dishes added to the overall experience. I am very satisfied with everything.

There are various types of soy sauce to enjoy as well. You can choose the number of slices, with a minimum of 5. Lately, 5 slices have been enough for me. Steamed with straw, you can also enjoy the aroma of straw while savoring it with rice and miso soup. It also comes with chawanmushi, providing a good deal. You can choose the size of the rice when ordering. This is the place to go when you want to eat bonito, right?!

I went to Tosa Shimizu World Shinbashi store, a 5-minute walk from Shinbashi Station! ・Katsuo and Shimanto chicken straw-grilled set meal 1,700 yen Although bonito has a strong bloody smell, the bonito straw-grilled here is not smelly at all. The flesh is firm and the unique aroma of straw-grilled is excellent! At first, I ate it with just salt, and it was nice to enjoy four flavors with ponzu, all-purpose sauce, and soy sauce. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. The pricing is a bit on the higher side.

Located on the second floor of a building, I was lured into the restaurant by a sign at the intersection. The building and the restaurant seemed quite new. There was a cigarette burn on the sofa I was seated on, but I wondered if smoking was allowed at night. I ordered the bonito sashimi set meal, which allows you to choose the number of pieces. Ordering was done through a touch panel, which was a bit confusing. I intended to order a set meal but ended up ordering individual items. [Tokyo, Minato-ku] March 6, 2020 (Friday) A restaurant serving local dishes from Kochi, located at the west exit of JR Shinbashi Station. You can enjoy Kochi local delicacies such as straw-grilled bonito. To get there, exit the Uomon Gate of Shinbashi Station, walk while looking at the New Shinbashi Building on your right. Cross the Shinbashi San-chome intersection, turn right one street before the main street (Hibiya Avenue), and you'll find it on the 2nd floor of GEMS, just a 5-minute walk from Shinbashi Station. It is also a 3-minute walk from Hibiya Line Uchisaiwaicho Station (A1 exit). Closed on Sundays, and closed on Mondays if there is a consecutive holiday. The restaurant was established in 2018, and there are also branches in Ueno and Gotanda (a total of 9 stores nationwide). Reservations for banquets are also available online. There is a cooking booth for straw grilling as you enter the store. The seating consists of around 14 tables for 4 people each, and 5 private rooms (total of 80 seats). Smoking is allowed in all seats, but lunchtime is non-smoking. There is a bell to call the staff on the table. Despite the current mood of self-restraint, the restaurant is almost full and bustling! The first lunch stop in Shinbashi in the new year is the 37th restaurant, which is the Shinbashi branch of "Tosa Shimizu World" on the second floor of the GEMS building along the street leading straight from Shinbashi Station SL Plaza to Toranomon. This restaurant is known for its main dish, "Katsuo no Warayaki." I visited this place because I wanted to try the "Sukumo Buri no Warayaki Teishoku" lunch set, which costs around 1,000 yen. While it's easy to imagine grilled bonito, I was curious to try grilled yellowtail, so that's why I visited this place. The restaurant is a large izakaya-style establishment, but the interior is spacious and clean, and the service is efficient and thoughtful, leaving a good impression. As soon as you sit down, they prepare "Muneta-bushi," which is bonito flakes, and it tastes delicious when sprinkled over rice with a little soy sauce. The rice is fluffy and you can have unlimited refills. Unfortunately, they were out of yellowtail when I visited, so I ended up ordering the bonito warayaki, which cost 1,240 yen for the medium size. The dish came with seven thick slices of grilled bonito and a chawanmushi. The aroma of the warayaki was strong in the chawanmushi, but not as much in the main dish. Thursday. Shinbashi. I love bonito tataki, so I finally decided to visit Katsuobushi in Toranomon, walking along Umenomichi Street. It was past 11:30 when I went upstairs and entered, and about half of the tables were already occupied. I sat at a two-person table and ordered the bonito straw-grilled set meal (small) that I had decided on. They brought me water and bonito flakes first. I had checked beforehand that it was non-smoking during lunchtime, so I could relax. After a while, they served the meal in a wooden bucket. The bonito was sprinkled with salt, so you could eat it as it is or dip it in ponzu or all-purpose sauce, with a side dish as well. The thick bonito with garnishes like garlic, green onions, onions, myoga, and shiso was delicious. If you take a bite as it is, the aroma of the straw grilling fills your mouth, it's so good. The sauce and ponzu with garnishes, especially the garlic, were great. Breath care is a must, but I didn't mind. Sprinkling bonito flakes on the rice was also nice. They say that bonito flakes are richer than bonito flakes, but I'm not sure. Apparently, in soba shops in Kanto, they use it in the broth for soba dipping sauce. Well, I don't really get it, since I don't know the taste of soba, but I'm sure those who do understand. Well, I was satisfied with being able to enjoy the delicious bonito. First visit in November 2019 (No.1542) This restaurant is a type that is great for me because I don't have many opportunities to try local dishes from the countryside. Operated by World One Co., I have visited Akashi and Aomori before, but this time I visited to experience the food of Tosashimizu! I arrived right after the opening at 11:30 am, with two customers in front and several customers behind, making it about 40% full. Since the restaurant opened just last year, it is clean and has a nice izakaya atmosphere. There is a booth near the entrance dedicated to straw grilling, and you can see the cooking process which is nice. The service aims to be above the price of the products provided, and you can feel that the management policy of World One Co. is like that. I ordered the bonito straw-grilled set meal (small) for 930 yen + tax and fish rice (io-meshi) for 100 yen + tax. When I sat down, freshly shaved bonito flakes were brought to me. It has a strong scent because it is freshly shaved, and it is recommended to sprinkle it on rice or chawanmushi according to your preference. The straw-grilled dish arrived in about 10 minutes, and the surface of the bonito was warm and they grill it for each order, which is nice. It came with 5 large slices of bonito, lightly sprinkled with coarse salt on the surface. You can season it with salt, ponzu sauce, or banno tare according to your preference. There are also regular soy sauce and plenty of condiments like myoga, onion, green onion, garlic, daikon, shiso, lemon, so you won't get bored and finish it all. The chawanmushi with fish (blue fish?) was warm and had a firm texture, which may be preferred by the people of Tosashimizu. The fish rice I changed to was also delicious with plenty of fish ingredients. This time, I changed it to takikomi gohan, but rice is free for refill with the set meal, so even young people can fill their stomachs for sure. Thank you for the meal.

I have been going to this restaurant for lunch once a month recently. It's great that you can have my favorite menu, mackerel sushi, for lunch. The soba is average, but the broth is good, with a strong flavor of bonito flakes. I will definitely go back, even though it's far in Shinbashi. It's a restaurant I want to visit for lunch or dinner.

Today, it was unusual to visit the restaurant with just the two of us at night. Although it may not be as lively as with a larger group, the cost performance is still great at this place. The salted bonito tataki and grilled amberjack are as amazing as ever. The grilled somen noodles, with the distinctive flavor of chives and clams, were also very satisfying.

Located on the 2nd floor of the GEMS Shimbashi building, which has been open for about a year now. I had to wait for about 10 minutes inside the restaurant, but I was prepared for it. The specialty here is straw-grilled bonito, and I was excited to try it. The restaurant was crowded, but I was determined to have their delicious bonito dish. I ordered the small size, which was reasonably priced at 930 yen (excluding tax). The meal came with a box of bonito flakes, which have a strong aroma and are said to contain three times more taurine than bonito flakes and 40 times more than eel. The bonito was served with soy sauce and rice, and it was incredibly delicious. The rice was fluffy and moist, and you could have seconds for free. The meal also included miso soup, chawanmushi, and pickles, as well as sliced garlic on the side. The bonito slices were thick and flavorful, and I enjoyed them with ponzu sauce and tare. I refrained from eating too much garlic since it was lunchtime. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and I would love to go back to try more dishes, especially with garlic. Itadakimasu!

After visiting Toyosu for a preview, my friend made a reservation for us at a restaurant offering a 5000 yen course. The meal started just before 4 pm on a scorching hot evening. We had: - Chawanmushi with Bonito flakes on top - Seasonal sashimi, a bit on the smaller side but tasty, followed by Tataki - Assorted straw-grilled fish (Bonito and Yellowtail) with a hint of straw aroma, served with salt and ponzu sauce - Cucumber salad with bonito flakes and simmered bonito, surprisingly delicious and moist - Char-grilled Long Taro shellfish with herbs, although the shellfish flavor was subtle - Yellowtail collar with grated radish sauce, the radish sauce complemented the delicious yellowtail well - Straw-grilled steak with Shikoku chicken, the chicken had a nice aroma from the straw grilling - Tosa-style rolled sushi and grilled mackerel sushi, both with generous portions - Bonito soba, just a small serving - Ice cream with a millet biscuit, a light and refreshing dessert option We also had an all-you-can-drink option with Dabada fire shaking, which we enjoyed together. We finished eating around 6 pm while it was still bright outside, but we were too full for a second round. Definitely a restaurant worth visiting again.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the staff were mostly young, but their customer service was very pleasant. It's a good restaurant.
