A stylish new rice flour donut shop has opened near Kouri-en Station, in a trendy area with stacked containers. I bought pistachio for ¥260, strawberry for ¥230, and milk chocolate for ¥230. Unfortunately, the plain flavor was sold out. The donuts were moist, chewy, and substantial. They were delicious.

I was finally able to visit "Hungry Donuts" in Korien, which opened on April 15th this month. They are open from 10 am to 4 pm, and often sell out quickly. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays, so the only chance to visit is on Saturdays. Today is Friday, but it's a holiday, so I dashed there in the rain! The interior of the store is cute, with adorable bear illustrations. They had a display of all the donuts available, so I bought one of each, including the limited edition "mentaiko mayo" flavor. There were a total of 9 flavors. When I got home and opened the box, the donuts were the perfect size, with cute bear designs on 4 of them. They were made with rice flour, so they were chewy and light, yet satisfying. They were all cute and delicious. I want to bring some as a souvenir for my friends, but the opening hours don't match up. Thank you for the meal.

OPEN on 4/15. A takeout-only shop specializing in baked donuts made with rice flour, soy milk, and cane sugar. They are gentle on the body and have a cute visual with a chewy texture that is delicious. I purchased the Hungry set with 8 flavors, as well as the Strawberry and Plain donuts. The donut menu includes Plain, Chocolate, Strawberry, Pistachio, Matcha, Black Sesame Kinako, Soy Milk Mont Blanc (limited to April and May), weekly specials, and 9 varieties of bear-shaped donuts. The Hungry set includes all flavors except for the bear-shaped one. They also offer drinks and ice cream.
