Taiyaki for 200 yen with red bean paste. The red bean paste was very sweet and thick, not too solid but more on the sugary side, making it slightly runny. The dough was thin and freshly made. It was quite sweet for my taste, as I prefer less sweetness. Overall, it was not really to my liking as I prefer a more moderate sweetness level.

■Order: Taiyaki - 200 yen The taiyaki had a thin crispy skin which was really nice. The filling had a slightly salty taste, which might appeal to many people. It's a bit sweet and salty, so you might want some tea to go with it. They were selling Kaga Bo Hojicha for 250 yen. Hmm, it's a bit expensive. ■Miscellaneous: This taiyaki shop is operated by kichiri, which runs various food and beverage establishments.

I found a taiyaki shop on the left side after exiting the southeast exit of Shinjuku Station and going down the stairs. It was a perfect spot for students on their way home from school and people shopping. I enjoyed my taiyaki on a stylish wooden bench outside the shop. The thin and crispy dough had a light texture, and the red bean paste inside, made from Hokkaido Tokachi adzuki beans, was not too sweet thanks to the addition of seaweed salt. I also ordered a Kaga stick roasted green tea ice cream, which was a perfect combination. They also serve soft serve ice cream. The taiyaki cost 200 yen and the Kaga stick roasted green tea cost 250 yen. It was a delicious meal!

At the front of Flags in Shinjuku, there is a food truck selling taiyaki. It caught my attention to see taiyaki in the middle of the big city, right in front of a fashionable building entrance. The operation is run by the food and beverage business Kitchiri. It is written as "Tai no Ya" and pronounced as "Taino Ya". They sell taiyaki for 200 yen each, cooked in a grilled style. The dough is a light yellow color and has a crispy texture, which is very good. The red bean paste is smooth and has a gentle sweetness. It is made with carefully cooked Hokkaido red beans and beet sugar. Despite its casual appearance, the taiyaki was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is a taiyaki shop in front of Shinjuku Station! It looks like a prefab building from the outside, but with tires, it seems to be more like a food truck. Not certain, but judging from the decorations, it seems to be a permanent establishment. I was intrigued by the limited-time grilled mochi taiyaki, so I decided to make a detour. There was a bench-like spot right in front, so I bought one and ate it there! Now, about the taste... [Taiyaki] The skin was crispy and nice, but the filling was quite sweet. It was too sweet for my liking and I found it overwhelming. I think it would be good to eat it with some bitter tea. [Grilled Mochi Taiyaki] Basically, it's a normal taiyaki with mochi placed on top of the filling and then grilled. It turned out completely different from the normal one. Under the crispy shell, there was a chewy mochi texture, which paired well with the skin. Furthermore, the combination of mochi and filling was perfect, with the mochi cushioning reducing the sweetness that I felt in the normal one, creating a nice balance. Unless you have a very sweet tooth, I recommend this one. There also seems to be a taiyaki soft serve, which seems to be an homage to a certain famous store, but based on other reviews, it might be too sweet. I'm looking forward to trying the limited-time item.

I had a taiyaki with sweet chestnut filling. I wonder if this is a seasonal item? I could taste a hint of chestnut, but personally, I wish there was more chestnut flavor! The crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, which was nice. Thank you for the meal. I will come back again!

While wandering around Shinjuku Station, I stumbled upon a stylish taiyaki shop with a wood grain design. Even though I had taiyaki from "Kurikoan" just yesterday, I decided to try it again today. The price of 200 yen per piece is a bit high, but the quality of the taiyaki definitely justifies it. The skin is thin yet chewy, and the anko filling has a strong aroma with just the right amount of sweetness and saltiness. It's really delicious. Plus, they serve it fresh off the grill, which is a delightful touch. I'm satisfied with this taiyaki. It's worth the 200 yen. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the 1st floor of JR Shinjuku Station, near Flags, I sat on a bench outside and took a photo before deciding to buy. However, there was a long line of people waiting. The special taiyaki costs 200 yen each (tax included) and is filled with a salty red bean paste. It is slightly thinner than the taiyaki I usually eat in Sendai. Perhaps the secret to its deliciousness lies in its crispy exterior and creamy interior. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The taiyaki had a fairly thin skin and wasn't as crispy as expected, possibly because I took it home while it was still hot and the steam softened it. The sesame paste side was crispy on the outside and the red bean paste inside was sweet. The taiyaki had a two-layer structure with sesame and the sweetness was mild. The size was small, so even though it was filled with red bean paste, it might feel a bit lacking. If there's time, I would like to try the soft taiyaki on the spot.

I decided to visit another place in Shinjuku since I had come all the way here. I am aware that I have eaten too much. Well, I walked 20,000 steps including the journey back home on this day, so I think I burned off some calories. I ordered a taiyaki soft serve (500 yen). You could choose between vanilla or matcha soft serve, and I chose matcha. The soft serve was the type where they put soft serve ice cream into a cup, similar to what Circle K used to have before. I was a bit disappointed because I don't consider this as soft serve. However, there was something that made me happy. The taiyaki was not pre-made, they took a freshly baked one from the griddle and served it to me. I sat on a bench and tried to hold the taiyaki, but it was too hot! The thin skin was crispy, and the inside was filled with red bean paste. I could taste the saltiness well. The contrast between the hot taiyaki and the matcha ice cream (soft serve) was great. The taiyaki was a bit pricey at 200 yen, but considering its location right near Shinjuku station, it might be understandable.

Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. A taiyaki & soft serve ice cream, shaved ice shop located at the entrance on the 1st floor of the shopping facility "Flags" right by the south exit of Shinjuku Station. Called Tainoya. It stands out due to its location, so many people may be familiar with it. Bought it as a snack. There were two female staff members. There are benches in front of the store, so many customers seem to eat there. Today's order: Tainoya special taiyaki 200 yen x 2. Warmed it up in the microwave and then toasted it in the oven for 2 minutes on each side. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The thin skin was filled with plenty of red bean paste cooked with Hokkaido Tokachi beans and Hokkaido sugar. It was delicious (^q^) #dessert #taiyaki #soft serve ice cream #shaved ice #lemonade #takeout #Flags #possibility of revisiting: yes

I used to pass by this place often, but this was my first time trying it. The taiyaki comes with a choice of red bean paste or sesame paste, and this time I chose red bean paste. It was the crispiest taiyaki I've ever had, and it was delicious. The filling was generous too. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back!

I tried the Setouchi Lemon shaved ice (500 yen). The taste was delicious with the texture of lemon puree, but I was surprised by the small portion. There were far fewer lemons on top compared to the photo, and I was quite disappointed by the lack of volume. Perhaps I expected too much due to the price and location, but I wish they would serve the same as shown in the picture.

This is a review of a taiyaki shop located at the south exit of Shinjuku Station, such as the JR and private railway lines. The shop is located within the premises of a station-front commercial facility called Flags. Although it appears to be a simple wooden booth on the first floor, it seems to be a permanent shop. I bought two taiyaki for 200 yen each. The taiyaki has a crispy texture with a filling of luxurious red bean paste made from Hokkaido Tokachi beans and Hokkaido cane sugar. It has a good balance of saltiness, and the part between the skin and the filling is chewy, almost like mochi. The sweetness is slightly restrained. Although the price of 200 yen per piece may be considered high, considering its prime location at the south exit of Shinjuku Station, it may be understandable. After taking a bite, I can say it was delicious and satisfying.

I got off at a less crowded exit in Shinjuku. There was a new taiyaki shop, and although there wasn't a line, there were many people eating, so I decided to have a snack. It was only 200 yen, which is a reasonable price for something so delicious. The salt was a strong accent, which was good. It's a sweet and salty one. It's addictive!

I have already visited this taiyaki shop several times. It is located on the 1st floor of FLAGS, just below the southeast exit of Shinjuku Station. On that day, they had a sign for "Grilled Rice Cake Taiyaki," so I ordered that (250 yen). I sat down across from the shop and took a bite. Inside, there was mochi and sweet red bean paste. The mochi was the main ingredient, with the red bean paste as a supporting role. This combination of ingredients is unique and I have never had it before. It's perfect for the cold season. It seems to be a limited-time offer. I wonder how long it will be available.

A taiyaki shop right near Shinjuku Station. When passing by, you'll notice a limited-time special taiyaki! Grilled mochi taiyaki for 250 yen (tax included). Taking a bite, you'll taste the chewy dough filled with plenty of mochi and red bean paste. You can also faintly taste the saltiness, making it delicious. The unique red bean paste made with seaweed salt from Taino Hachi, and the not-so-perfect-looking (not smooth) but tasty chewy dough, are both impressive. The generous amount of mochi is also a plus. It seems to be a limited-time offer until February, so if you're in Shinjuku, be sure to try it!

There is a taiyaki shop next to GAP! I wonder when it became a taiyaki shop... I waited a bit because they said you can get it fresh in 5 minutes! It's a bit on the smaller side? It's hot and fresh! The taiyaki here has a thin, chewy skin, moist red bean paste, like a steamed bun taiyaki. It's perfect for when you're a little hungry and want something quick and easy.

Located near the entrance of Flags 1st floor, just outside the southeast exit of JR Shinjuku Station. The outside of the dough is crispy, while the inside is fluffy, and the sweet red bean paste inside is not too sweet. Payment can be made with cash or card. There is no dedicated seating area, but there are benches in front of Flags where you can enjoy your treat or take it to go!

I revisited this place where I was saved by the ice refugees last time, just in time for the 8 pm closing. I ordered the Uji matcha with algae salt bean paste for 500 yen and a taiyaki for 200 yen. The algae salt bean paste had a strong salty taste, which was quite unique. On the other hand, the Uji matcha was sweet and delicious. Eating the warm taiyaki together with it was a great combination. The taiyaki had a rich flavor that made me think it might have butter in the dough. It was well-made with attention to detail, and it's no wonder they sell a lot of them. They even cut off the excess dough with scissors. My daughter, who is not interested in shaved ice or taiyaki, enjoyed a glazed donut from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts nearby while I had a nice break time.
