I came here with a friend after work because we wanted to have a drink. This place seems to offer good value for money. It's conveniently located near Shinbashi Station. It's great that they open from 4pm, even though it's quite early. On this day, I ordered a hot plum wine with honey. It's warm and soothing. They have a variety of drinks available. - Potato salad: Smooth potato salad with tomatoes and onions, a nice combination. - Mentaiko (spicy cod roe) rolled omelette: A delicious dish with mentaiko on a rolled omelette, a winning combination. - Meat-wrapped skewers: I ordered one with bean sprouts, asparagus, and chrysanthemum greens. It's packed with vegetables, healthy and delicious. There are other types of meat-wrapped skewers that look interesting. While sipping on oolong tea, I waited for the plate udon. The service here is great, the staff are polite. - Nagasaki plate udon: Plate udon is especially delicious on a cold day. It's quite filling and satisfying. The flavor is rich, with plenty of vegetables making it tasty. I had a light meal this day, but next time I want to try dessert, hot pot, and grilled chicken.

Met up with a friend after a long time at Shinbashi Station and decided to have a quick drink. We went to "TORIEMON Shinbashi Station Front Store", located within 1 minute walk from the Uchisaiwaicho exit of Shinbashi Station, where you can enjoy Kyushu cuisine. We started with the seared mentaiko from Fukuoka Hakata. The crispy texture and rich flavor made it so delicious that we could just keep drinking with this alone. Continuing with mentaiko dishes, we tried the mentaiko dashimaki tamago. The fluffy rolled omelette with plenty of dashi was truly delicious. The combination of mentaiko and egg made us wonder why they go so well together. For something fried, we had the sweet potato sticks, a taste of autumn. The sweet and crispy sweet potatoes were so delicious, especially when dipped in honey mayo. It was just perfect. We also tried the lettuce-wrapped pork skewer, which was refreshing with a hint of yuzu pepper. The combination of yuzu and juicy pork was delightful. Next, we ordered the sesame marinated horse mackerel, which had a sweet and sour flavor. It was served promptly, which we appreciated. For dessert, we had mango ice cream with whipped cream. The cute mango ice cream was so easy to finish in one go. I definitely want to come back here again.

After work or when you happen to stop by Shinbashi, a perfect place for dinner with friends is "Koshitsu Izakaya TORIEMON Shinbashi Ekimae" located just a 1-minute walk from Shinbashi Station Uomon. The restaurant offers private rooms that can accommodate small groups, business entertainment, and company parties. The atmosphere is calm and the interior is based on Japanese style, allowing you to relax and unwind. Starting with a drink, I prefer non-alcoholic beverages, so I opted for an alcohol-free option. It's great that they have non-alcoholic choices. For salad, I tried the "Kyushu's bounty of mentaiko caesar salad," which includes crispy fried sweet potatoes. The fresh vegetables and the crispy texture of the sweet potatoes are incredibly delicious. The mentaiko sauce enhances the flavor even more. Next, we ordered the popular "young chicken karaage." Whenever I go to an izakaya, I can't help but order karaage. Squeeze some lemon, dip it in a little mayonnaise, and it's amazing! The chicken is made from carefully selected morning-ground chicken, and it is crispy and delicious even when it cools down. We also wanted some sashimi, so we ordered the "tuna butsugiri." You can tell it's fresh and delicious just by looking at it. Although we were just two people, the amount was just right, and the drinks kept flowing. As we started to feel a bit full, we ended with the dessert, "vanilla ice cream." Women always want to finish with dessert. The vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream was perfect. The rich vanilla and moderate sweetness of the whipped cream made for a perfect ending. Although we were a bit full this time and couldn't eat much more, there were many other delicious-looking items on the menu. They also offer a variety of Kyushu shochu and sake, so I would like to visit again with friends who enjoy alcohol.

This is a recommended izakaya near the station that serves vegetable-wrapped skewers and offal dishes (`・ω・´). Recently, it seems that vegetable-wrapped skewers have been trending in Kyushu, and I was skeptical about it (`・ω・´). However, when I visited Fukuoka the other day (`・ω・´), my local friends asked me if I wanted to try vegetable-wrapped skewers, so it seems like it really is a popular dish in the area YΣ(゚д゚lll)Y. The appetizer was something like pickles (`・ω・´), and then they served seared spicy mentaiko, which I can't eat (`・ω・´). Next came the horse sashimi tartare, which was delicious (`・ω・´). The staff recommended trying the offal dishes, so I opted for the beef hormone stamina stir-fry, which was really tasty (`・ω・´). The staff were very polite and provided excellent service (`・ω・´). I also tried the chicken tempura, which was served with both sauce and salt, and both were good (`・ω・´). And then, the vegetable-wrapped skewers - I tried enoki, pea sprouts, green onion, and lettuce, and they were all excellent (`・ω・´). The lettuce skewer, recommended by the staff, was especially delicious (`・ω・´). I also tried the plate udon for the finishing touch, which was flavorful and satisfying (`・ω・´). Overall, it was a great experience with delicious food and friendly service (`・ω・´).

I had some business in Shimbashi and went to this restaurant near the station. They serve trendy Kyushu cuisine, including dishes from Fukuoka, Nagasaki, and Kumamoto. - Highly recommended Sesame-flavored Ajinamasu Thick and flavorful horse mackerel marinated in a delicious sauce. - Mentaiko Caesar Salad Mentaiko's saltiness pairs well with the dressing. The sweet potato chips add a nice texture. - Highly recommended Chicken Nanban Juicy chicken thigh with black vinegar sauce and tartar sauce. All three components - meat, black vinegar sauce, and tartar - are delicious. - Tsukune of Chicken Cartilage with Moon-Viewing Presentation on an iron plate, the cartilage's texture is great and stays hot until the end. It's delicious when mixed with egg and sauce. - Nagasaki Champon It's great to be able to have champon as a finishing dish. The noodles have a chewy texture, and the soup is full of flavor from the vegetables and pork. Pairing it with the meat-wrapped rice ball was perfect. The restaurant has private rooms, so we were able to enjoy a leisurely meal.

It's been a while since I had dinner outside in Shinbashi. The restaurant TORIEMON Shinbashi Ekimae is located just 1.2 minutes from Shinbashi Station Uchisaiwaicho Exit, making it easily accessible. Known for its delicious sake, Kyushu cuisine, and fresh morning-ground local chicken, this restaurant offers private rooms suitable for both large groups and dates. The atmosphere in each room is chic and calm, providing a completely private space when the door is closed. Starting with a toast: - The draft beer served was Asahi Super Dry, a safe choice. - The appetizer was a warm and comforting simmered ganmo. Some of the dishes we tried: - Kyushu Caesar Salad with mentaiko mixed into the dressing. - Horse sashimi, which was exceptionally fresh and flavorful. - Horse sashimi yukhoe, tender and juicy, perfect with sesame oil and raw egg. - Tororo Mentaiko Yaki, a simple yet delicious dish with grated yam and mentaiko. - Imo Shochu "Umi" with a fruity citrus aroma, surprisingly light and refreshing. - Karashi Renkon, a crunchy and addictive dish perfect with drinks. - Fukuoka Hakata Aburi Mentaiko, salty but addictive, great with drinks. - Imo Shochu "Kujira" with a rich and majestic flavor reminiscent of a whale. We also enjoyed: - Kibinago Karaage, crispy and flavorful fried fish. - Goma Aji Nanbanzuke, a refreshing and tangy dish. - Nagasaki Champon with thick noodles and rich soup, a satisfying meal with plenty of ingredients. Overall, we had a great time enjoying the delicious food and drinks from Kyushu. With a wide variety of dishes and a great selection of shochu, we were satisfied with our dining experience. I usually try to avoid drinking beer during meals (because it fills me up), but sometimes I just really crave it! The other day, I couldn't wait until I got home, so I caught up with a friend in Shinbashi and had a drink before heading back. I can drink alone, but beer just tastes better with someone to chat with! We went to TORIEMON, a Kyushu cuisine restaurant in the New Shinbashi Building. We didn't have a reservation but managed to get a table because it was still early. The restaurant had a private room feel with roll curtains separating the tables. I started with a glass of draft beer – it was delicious! I may seem like a proper middle-aged man (being in the "holy land" of Shinbashi), but I also have the title of "beer girl," so I hope they don't mind too much. The combination of Shinbashi and beer is irresistible! Looking down at the city street interviews while enjoying a drink is a unique experience that Shinbashi offers. The New Shinbashi Building is chaotic yet fascinating to look at from the outside. We started with a salad and then indulged in octopus dishes – the octopus was big and chewy, just perfect! I couldn't resist ordering more beer and octopus dishes. I ordered a variety of skewers that caught my eye. Vegetable rolls are guilt-free because they are wrapped in vegetables, right? We managed to eat our fill despite a slight clash with a group that caused a few items to be sold out (starting drinking early, typical Shinbashi!). With such a wide selection, we were satisfied. The zucchini skewers were delicious too. I left feeling happily full. Nights like this are one of the pleasures of living in the city center.

After work, I decided to go for a drink in Shinbashi. I wanted to try a traditional izakaya, so I stopped by TORIEMON, where you can enjoy Kyushu specialties. It's a classic izakaya, where smoking is allowed, so it's good for those who smoke. I don't smoke, so I can't comment on that, but I heard it can be tough for smokers if they can't smoke for 2 hours. I raised a toast with sweet potato shochu and vegetable sticks. The vegetables had a satisfying crunch, and it felt like I was getting a day's worth of veggies in one go. I also ordered tuna cheek and fried chicken, a classic combination that goes well with shochu. Eating them with plenty of mayonnaise was delicious. Even though I'm not a mayo lover, the stability of mayo is undeniable. Feeling full, I ended the meal with a light drink. Maybe I ate too much? The vegetable rolls were made with shungiku and zucchini, an unusual but tasty combination. When I ordered champon for dessert, I was surprised by the abundance of pink kamaboko. It must be a local ingredient from Nagasaki, as I've never seen pink kamaboko before.

I got tired of walking in the heat and decided to eat something nearby. I found a restaurant that I had never tried vegetable rolls before, so my family and I decided to give it a try. The interior of the restaurant was a bit cramped. The hand towels had a musty smell, and it didn't feel very clean. At this point, I didn't have high expectations. When we sat down, there was no menu in sight... We had to ask the staff to bring it to us. I started to doubt if vegetable rolls were really their specialty. We ordered a few dishes, but they were all small portions of standard dishes. At this point, my negative feelings made everything seem even worse. The vegetable rolls were all priced at 250 yen each, but the size of the skewers was inconsistent, and I didn't feel like they were worth 250 yen each. The only positive aspect was the decent service from the staff.
