Here is a review of Santen, a restaurant. The access is good with a proper parking lot. You don't buy food tickets, instead, you sit at a table and order from the staff. I ordered the Chicken Tempura Set. It came with 2 shrimp tempura, 2 chicken tempura, 3 vegetable tempura, seaweed tempura, a side dish (spinach), rice, miso soup (changed to udon), and grated daikon sauce. I also added fish cake with a ticket. It's delicious! The grated daikon sauce, the table's tempura sauce, and the pickles on the table are all tasty and cheap! I'm satisfied.

I had tempura and tempura soba at Tempura Santen Harihara Nakano, a restaurant operated by the Sato Group. I ordered an Ebi Tempura Donburi for 450 yen and an Ebi Tempura Soba for 530 yen. It may seem like I really love ebi tempura, but it seemed like there was no set menu with soba like at Tenya, so I ended up ordering this way. Speaking of Tenya, it's sad that the store along Midosuji in Namba, Osaka is gone. It has now turned into a popular yakiniku restaurant, Yakiniku Like.

This is a restaurant that belongs to the Sato-san series of Japanese restaurants specializing in tempura and tendon dishes. The name of the restaurant is Harinakano-ten, but it is located a bit far from Yuzato and Harinakano stations, so please be aware of that. This particular restaurant seems to be a pilot store for introducing new menu items or price increases, so the menu content and prices may differ from other Suntensan stores. If you are a frequent visitor to other stores, please take note of this. On the day of my visit, they had a special menu item called "Meat x Tempura," so I decided to try the Ebi-Ten Buta Kakuni Don. The dish looked pretty much like the picture on the poster, so I can't complain about that, but at a glance, a bowl with only two types of toppings seemed a bit lacking. The "Buta Kakuni" was more like simmered pork than kakuni (braised pork belly). It was tender and fell apart easily, but personally, I found the seasoning to be too strong. As a fast-food style tempura chain, they serve delicious tempura that is crispy and freshly fried, so this particular menu item was a bit underwhelming. If you are willing to accept that this is what you get for 690 yen (similar to other fast-food tempura set meals), then it might be worth trying out.

There were more tempura pieces than I expected! ☆Eel tempura soba. This was a limited-time item that I didn't try, but the eel was soft and delicious, according to those who had it. I went to have lunch on a regular day and enjoyed a reasonably priced tempura bowl. They have many counter seats, which makes it convenient for solo diners.
