This ramen shop is located near Imazato intersection in Osaka, just a short walk from the main street. They specialize in soy sauce ramen, offering three different types on their menu. As a first-time visitor, I ordered the "Gen" which is a rich soy sauce ramen priced at 800 yen. It had a light yet flavorful broth with delicious chicken chashu. The ingredients were handled with care, which I appreciated.

<First Visit in January 2021>
I visited TKU early in the new year, but they were closed until the next day. So, I decided to head to a miso ramen shop near Imazato intersection. I parked at a nearby coin parking lot and noticed a shop that had caught my eye before. I decided to visit this new place. The interior had a gentle and sweet aroma. There were only 7 seats at the J-shaped counter. The middle-aged master was running the shop alone. I ordered the following:
- Charred Amber (¥800): A light yet slightly bitter bowl made with a blend of amber fish and chicken broth, white soy sauce, and slowly roasted charred oil including bonito.
- Kuro (¥800): A soup made with a blend of fish and chicken broth, dark soy sauce, and added richness from slowly roasted charred oil and charred green onion oil, providing a light yet deep flavor.
- Mini Chicken Chashu Don (¥400)

This weekend, I visited a restaurant called "Ramen Tenjaki" located in Imazato, which I hadn't been to since it opened within the past year. It took me about 15 minutes to walk from JR Tamatsukuri Station along Nagahori Street. I arrived before the opening time and waited outside. When the store opened, I entered and saw hand sanitizer placed under the TV in the center of the store. I had already checked the menu before entering, so I immediately ordered the "Kohaku" ramen. The Kohaku ramen came with toppings such as chashu, seasoned egg, menma, white leeks, and green onions. The thin straight noodles had a crunchy texture, and the soy sauce-based soup with added seafood had a subtle fish flavor and a refreshing taste. The soup was easy to eat and had a gentle flavor, but it felt somewhat lacking in richness and depth. The only condiment available on the table was black pepper. The small restaurant had a counter with only 8 seats, and the owner managed the place with attentive service. Despite feeling a bit unsatisfied with the taste and portion size, considering the price of 800 yen, I would give a slightly critical evaluation.

It seems that a ramen shop has opened where there used to be an izakaya or cafeteria. I finally had the chance to try it out. I chose the amber ramen, which seemed light and refreshing. The shop has 8 counter seats and is run by a man alone. The ramen had thin straight noodles similar to Marutai ramen. The noodles had a good texture and chewiness. The chicken chashu was light in flavor, as well as the menma. The long green onions in the amber ramen seemed to be a unique feature. The overall taste was subtle, with a light umami flavor from fish stock. The ramen cost 800 yen, which is standard, but the meal satisfaction might be low if you only order the ramen as there are many side dishes available at an additional cost. The soup was delicious on its own, but there was black pepper available for seasoning. I tried adding it, but it didn't seem to enhance the flavor.

Hello! I'm a cheerful old man. The other day, I had ramen at a restaurant called Ramen Tenjaki in Imazato. I believe this is a newly opened store, probably in April? Oh, poor timing to open a store, I think. I had passed by the front of the store a few times before. "Huh? A store here..." kind of feeling. Especially during this time, it's not easy to get customers. But, it caught my attention. I stopped by once for lunch. With ramen, you can finish eating in 10 minutes, and there are no customers other than me. Now, what I had here was a light ramen called "Gen". It has a refreshing taste based on chicken and fish broth. It lacks a bit of impact, but it's still delicious. I finished it quickly and left the store. Oh, it's a tough time, but I hope they continue to do their best. If you have the chance, please visit them!!!

Ramen Tenjaki is a shop that opened in early April near the intersection of Imazato in Osaka. The shop has a counter that seats 8 people in a U-shape. When asking for recommendations, they suggest starting with the Gen ramen and adding a seasoned boiled egg on top. The ramen has a light yet deep flavor with a double broth of fish and chicken, seasoned with rich soy sauce, green onions, and fish-infused oil. The chashu is made from chicken, making it a healthy option. The soup has a punch to it but is not too spicy, leaving a light aftertaste without making your throat dry. It's a ramen that makes you want to come back for more. They also offer bottled beer and appetizers like a plate of chicken chashu and seasoned bamboo shoots, making it a great place for a quick drink on the way home.

I stopped by Ramen Tennajaki in Imazato today. This is a newly opened shop as of 4/8, located near Imazato station on the Osaka Metro. The interior has a counter seat layout in a horseshoe shape. It seems tough to manage alone without a vending machine. The base seems to be soy sauce ramen, with a slight twist. There are three types available. Here is what I tried:
- Amber:
- Soup: A lightly colored soup made with chicken and fish broth, seasoned with white soy sauce. It's a light soup, good for drinking after finishing the noodles. When black pepper from the table is added, the flavor becomes more well-rounded.
- Noodles: Thin straight noodles that blend well with the soup and have a good texture.
- Toppings: Chicken chashu with a slightly dry texture, green onions cut long, thinly sliced menma, and mild-flavored white leeks.
It was a gentle-tasting white soy sauce ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Gen (Chicken and Seafood Ramen 800 yen) ★★★☆ The soup is a combination of chicken and seafood soy sauce based broth. The noodles are slightly wavy thin straight noodles. The toppings include chicken breast chashu, green onions, bean sprouts, and bamboo shoots. This shop opened near Imazato Station on April 8th. I visited early based on information from Kuroboshi-san. The soup combines chicken broth with seafood broth, adding a moderate amount of oil and a hint of fragrant burnt oil, creating a mellow flavor with a subtle seafood aroma. The noodles are made by Hanabusa Seimen, with a firm texture that is satisfying to eat. The thick chashu slices are tender and well-seasoned, adding a refreshing touch to the dish. Enjoy the change in flavor with the provided black pepper. 2020.04.08 Ramen Tenjaki [Main Menu] Gen: 800 yen, Kohaku: 800 yen, Burnt Kohaku: 800 yen, Extra noodles: +100 yen, Extra chashu: +200 yen, Flavored egg: +100 yen.

The menu includes: Gen (800 yen), Kohaku (800 yen), Charred Kohaku (800 yen), Extra Chashu (200 yen), Flavored Egg (100 yen), Extra Menma (100 yen), Extra Noodles (100 yen). The soup is made from chicken bones and seafood, with a slight smoky leek oil aroma, a moderate seafood flavor, and a soy sauce taste, resulting in a smooth and light flavor. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles from "Hanafusa Seimen," with a good texture and moderate firmness. The chicken breast chashu is moist and well-seasoned. You can also adjust the flavor with the black pepper on the table.

At Ramen Tenjagai-san, I had the Reishikohaku ramen. The noodles were firm and curly, tightened with cold water. The soup had a gentle seafood flavor. There was plenty of green onions, giving the dish a refreshing finish. Delicious.
